Arizona Blue are a Cardiff based alternative/hard rock band, originally from London that enjoy twisting multiple genres together to create their own sound to deliver a punch of pure energy into melodic vocal lines, bursts of hardcore and roots of metal, after 5 years together, the band are looking promising to take over the UK, the band are currently finishing writing their debut album planning to record it in Spring and a summer release, the band still have shows across the UK for the coming months.
The story of the band so far:March 2007 saw 5 guys aged between 16 - 18, one of which, Dan Johnson was at the time that only two months away from sitting the majority of his GCSE exams form a small band who were to practice in a local community centre to save the little money they had to experiment with genres performing many covers before going on to attempt to write some of their own songs.
The plan quickly changed after only 6 months of writing, after performing a handful of live shows to empty rooms, the whole band brought an idea to create an original sound that would make them stand our from not only their local scene, but the whole of the UK music scene and live their life long dreams, just like hundres of other bands were doing.
April 2009 saw the band relocate from an over crowded and somewhat lifeless London to take on South Wales where they quickly settled in Cardiff and became a local favourites and recorded their debut EP 'Nameless' in the old Screamadelica Studios in Cardiff Bay. The 6-track release became extremely popular, selling out physical copies in a week of release forcing the band to put the release online for digital release on iTunes and many other online retailers after the second batch of CD's also sold out, online sales also proving to be a great success, they continued to tour and play shows across the UK for the next year in support of their debut EP, before they took a second studio trip to Longwave Studios in Cardiff to record a follow-up 5 track self-titled EP in June 2010, this once again a huge success, the band played numerous small UK tours and small festivals in support of their second EP before their first trip overseas in May 2011 where they were given the chance to play three shows in Germany, the three of which sold out.
June 2011 saw the band announce a short break to concentrate on their personal lives a little bit more than they were as the band had been constantly writing and recording for the last 4 years.
After only five months, the band announced that they were to start writing their debut album in January 2012, work on this started as planned and the band are currently on track with their current plans.
