 BIOGRAPHY
Martina Downtown was born in London on January 15th, 1992. She was given the nickname of "Witch" for her quirky personality but Martina could hardly be seen as the bad witch of a fairy tale since she can be very sweet and is said to be like the "mommy" of Teen Titans.
She grew up maturing a strong passion for the retro music, art and style and at school she was always known as the most mature.
In 2010 she accepted to join the Teen Titans, releasing with the band the first album 'Teen' and recording the theme song for the Diamond Edition of the Disney's "Beauty and The Beast".
In early 2011 she started dating John Moore and released with the Titans the second album 'Generation', going on their first world tour, during which she broke up with John.
She released with the band their third album 'Rebellion' in September 2011 and started dating Nate Alexander, who she dedicated her official debut solo single followed by her album 'Rain Of The Pieces Of My Heart' in the summer, when she decided to take a break with the Titans to record the new music in Los Angeles.
She is releasing with the band the new album 'Neon Lights' the next month.

MARTINA DOWNTOWN - GIVE ME ROSESThe video begins showing a fairy tale forest.  As a close-up of Martina smiling is shown, the song starts and she sings the first verse. "Just a little girl, with a big heart
That she never got to fill before
Looking for her prince, who could take her on his journey
But all she used to find were barbarians with cold hearts" At the end of the first verse, Martina is shown walking towards the water and smiling at it.  She then looks at the sky and sings the pre-chorus. "She read books to know where to find her angel
She tried spells, but then got called an hex
She wrote letters to nobodies just to feel the love
The love she was looking for"When the beat slows down, Martina sits on her knees and, as some close-ups of her are shown, she sings the chorus. "And so, he eventually appeared
Out of one of her dreams
And she told him so
"I just want you to give me roses""At the end of the chorus, the video shows Martina getting in an even better mood as she's seen laughing and playing with water. She then stops laughing and sings the new verse.  "In just a little car, she wanted to travel the world
And find the love never found before
It had to be her movie, her "Gone With The Wind"
But it turned out to be "The Exorcist""Martina is shown walking slowly again for the next per-chorus, with some close-ups of her face. "She read books to know where to find her angel
She tried spells, but then got called an hex
She wrote letters to nobodies just to feel the love
The love she was looking for"During the chorus she walks towards the water again and slowly dives into it. "And so, he eventually appeared
Out of one of her dreams
And she told him so
"I just want you to give me roses"" The video shows her being underwater and looking for something during the bridge, at the end of which she's gets out of the water smiling and holding a rose. "Roses, roses, roses

I just want you to give me roses" Then for the next pre-chorus, Martina is shown dancing and having fun, while singing. "She read books to know where to find her angel

BLOG Hello everybody
I am writing this blog firstly to thank you for requesting 'Give Me Roses' on radio, because I am so glad you are enjoying it and I mostly hope that you share my feelings listening to it.
Then I would like to tell you that I am still working on the solo album, of course, and it sounds beautiful. I have recorded another very romantic song today and I am already in love with it. I surely am in a very romantic mood lately but I wish this would last forever, feeling all this love matters a lot to me, it is almost like one of my biggest dreams coming true. And I am surely going to feel even more love the next week, when the tour ends and I will get to see my wonderful Nate again. (:
The next week I am also shooting the video for 'Give Me Roses', which will be a gift for you. But that is not all: me and Den will also start writing new songs for our next album, which we are all excited about. We will take a short break to work on it though, so you may not get any other single after 'Somebody New In The City' before this summer, probably. We are still going to give you solo music during this short break and possibly perform at any festival we can, so no worries about it, it's just about a few months to wait for.
Speaking of my album again, I would really like to thank Alicia Lena, Mariah Button and Claire Becker for helping me on this record. They are being extremely kind and I owe them a lot.
Lastly, I would like to leave you a very meaningful quote of Albert Einstein which I heard yesterdays for the first time and made me think a lot. It is 'Imagination is more important than knowledge' and I couldn't definately agree more!
