Lake soon became a victim to the tabloids and scandals involving deceased ex boyfriend Jack Frost which eventually had Cristina hit rock bottom, as well as her being dropped from her then label, Junction Records. So now, Cristina looks to be fighting to get her fame back in her hands, releasing her first single in two years, a beautifully orchestrated yet eerie ballad in The Days You Might Fill With Laughter, a rumored oath to ex boyfriend Jack Frost where Cristina reminisces about a lost one, the single officially in stores now and has been visited with positive reviews. What we didn't know, was that we were going to get MORE Cristina Lake material in one week as she's looking to have all heads turning as she makes her way back to where she belongs and keeping a promise to her devoted fans who have been holding on since day one, and proving not only does she possess great beauty, but a strong voice too. This song, entitled "Troubled Spotlight" which goes in a slightly different direction then current single in current single, takes a more uptempo approach that may have you tapping your foot against the floor as you hear the hunger in Cristina's voice. The song which was produced by Von S. (Michelle Green's "Fifteen" & Red Symphony") explores a heavily influenced Symphonic Chorus and haunting unappologetic clapping&drum pounding backing beat that you are served with as soon as you start listening to the track you can tell this is no love song. Cristina's powerful voice gets straight to the point and making it no surprise as that this is a wrathful track yet one that gives off a message in this Indie Pop/Symphonic tune. Cristina sings about being in the spotlight when you are in a troubling moment of your life and how hard it can become juggling your problems as the whole world is watching, as well as pointing out how wrong it is when people get exploited through rough times. A page right out of her diary book turned into an angry memo of stormful lyrics. Cristina takes a brave approach speaking out for herself not to mention the people falling victim to this unfortunate way of life. One that Cherise has fallen victim to, and another that was glorified heavily leading to Frost's situation. Through the pounding beat, which gets seems to get "bigger" as the song goes on into the chorus where it breaks into a memorable symphonic tune that mixes in the former instruments added on with a huge symphony with Lake's voice mixing in perfectly as she goes into a high pitch tone for the chorus as the symphonic band continues, and then slows down eerily with Cristina's voice going onto the next verse.. What stands out in this track is Cristina's emotion when singing with such "big" production and to which may, or may not be to your surprise Cristina eagerly holds her own against the production of the track only showing her vulnerability when singing the high notes during the bridge as the song loses its backing beat and is left with a drum solo with Cristina singing along, followed by the continuation of the drums until the end of the song. Sounds similar to Cristina Lake's 2nd track emerging this week, each one the two sending out a message and is very relatable to her and its quite nice to see her so confident again, what do you think?

Queen Alexis: EVERYONE, GIVE IT UP FOR THE RETURNING CRISTINA LAKE!! The crowd bursts into a huge cheer as Cristina stands there, looking depressed, trying to emotionally connect to the track, but when the crowd continues to cheer, she cannot help but put a huge smile on her face as the song begins to start. Its a beautiful smile. The performance starts off with the dreamy backing beat that we all grew to love with 'The Days You Might Fill With Laughter, as well as a harp filled melody followed by Piano notes going very slowly,giving us an initial relaxing sound as the crowd quiets down and listens. The relaxation turns captivating when Cristina starts singing. Fall leaves falling, reminding me of passing time So when I reached my prime, and think of you You're like the laughing cool breeze (I Know I Feel You) These are the days you might fill with laughter She brings the dreariness and vulnerability yet captivating tone that she possesses make us realize that the emotion is full on in the song with her head looking deeply in the crowd while her backing band works along with her. The dreamy beat backs behind her vocals as she sings You're like a laughing cool breeze and whispers (I feel You) that may get us to wonder is she talking about Jack Frost's ghost. The Days You Might Fill With Laughter which was a dreamy, emotional and slow indie pop ballad that surprisingly hit #4 on the radio charts and even still holds some some weight on the Digital Charts this week as it soured up 10 spots on the Chart [And Still selling]. Lake looks to release her second official single entitled 'Until I'm Dead' which will be released this coming Sunday with a single premiere and then performance on Music Box!
