About the song:As a band that mixes many genres, there aren’t many (if any) genres Arizona Blue won’t try to mix up, this song is no exception as Arizona Blue re-visit a more metal approach to their song writing in this new one-off track.
Written from the eyes of a man watching the world around him fall apart, there is both deep emotion and raw aggression displayed in this song.
The clean guitar which starts the song can be heard over distorted vocals, the riff which will seem pleasant at first sets a strong mood for a second guitar to join playing the same riff, the lyrics
“Put the sinners where they belong” are repeated until the simple, yet powerful drum fill sets the song off, with clean guitars gone to make way for a what can only be described as “beefed up” version of the riff is played with a full band behind it, the drums being as technical as possible really fit the pure aggression that the vocals bring to the song.
The small fills and harmonised guitars really make this song what it is, and in all honesty, make the song work as the hardcore/metal edge that Arizona Blue have been seemingly scared to pull out shines through.
Song clip:Seven billion people walk this land
But the fire was started by one mans hand
You can not contain the world any longer
We can’t let this go, we’ve got to get stronger
So put the sinners where they belong
Let the saints shine (saints shine) saints shine on
Put the sinners where they belong
We need to end the world of fire
Before it burns outooc: I can’t seem to write this song in full! I’m not a great songwriter anyway it’s the best I’ve got!James Elliot (Vocals) speaks:I started writing this song a while ago, but never got around to finishing it, but I think with recent events in the world and in my personal life this song in all fairness reflects a part of me, but it was written through the eyes of someone living in the middle of all the chaos, the song is a step out of my comfort zone lyrically, I’m not an angry songwriter! I usually write the slower or more poppy stuff, so this is going to be good for me to see how it goes down.
There are songs that have the same metal approach to this but we never stray too far from our roots, because we’ll never forget how we started as musicians, and we just love writing music that sounds like All Time Low have just had a fight with Slipknot!
But as Matt posted on his twitter earlier, this song will not be on Blackout, we will be releasing this as a single soon, along with some demos from old tracks, so keep an eye out!
ooc: Once again, compared to pretty much everyone on here it's a bit shit, and like most things I post this is my first time trying this stuff! So if you could leave some feedback, much appreciated! Hopefully I’ll get better at stuff like this, haha!!
