Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Naomi surprised fans when she uploaded her second single from her upcoming album set for a spring release. The song is available for streaming only on her site, until its officially released to the public. Quote:This one is an upbeat song, it makes you feel happy and giddy inside. I wrote it last summer, when my boyfriend came back home from doing the Peace Corps. It felt so good to be able to talk face to face, and just be close physically again. It was inspired by a couple of 80s pop songs. But, I wanted that pure pop element in this for the spring and summer. Its something everyone will want to hear. |

"Sweetest Sin", Naomi's second single (debut was "Pop Life" which was released last year) scraped the bottom of the music charts this week. Despite a lack of promotion, and no label, the single is still a relative success for the budding underground artist. Naomi had calm words for her "underground" success. Quote:I'm really happy about my music, and the fans I'm getting along the way. They're very supportive of my music, and that's what matter most to me. At the end of the day, my music is pure. Its going straight to fans with no middleman. I'm not saying I'm shunning mainstream success, I just don't care for it. I would have nothing to gain, and everything to lose. But if I do have that monster hit that connects with everyone, then that's just faith. It was meant to be, and you can't change your faith. At the end of the day, how many pop artists say they write, and produce their music on their computer, master it and upload it on YouTube. Not many. Naomi's next single "My Baby's Back" will be out in a week for radio and digital, from her yet-to-be titled debut album. |

Katie: At this moment in my life, this song is just perfect for me to listen to. Last year, I let someone important to me get away, and she has only recently come back into my life, showing me how important she is to me. You have no idea how much I can relate to your words here at this specific moment in time. Your song is making me smile like a little girl. It makes me feel so warm and happy inside, and most importantly, it makes me think of her...my love. It seems weird to say I think, but thank you for truly brightening my evening Naomi :)

"After two singles, I finally did it. No labels and with little promotion. I made the top 15 on the Digital Charts. This means a lot to me. This proves to people that the social networks can do some crazy things. Now, all I need to do is finish up my album. I'm still trying to figure out a direction to go. But it will be pop with some "flavor" of course. It will come out this summer or fall, which is the latest."
