Ryan: Today we have a very special guest here in the studio with us, thank you Cinzia Ricci for being here with us today! This is huge!
*Applauding*
Cinzia Ricci: Hey Ryan! Its an honor to be here today, thanks for having me..
Ryan: You have certainly had a huge year not only has your debut album been certified quadruple platinum, you recently finished your tour, correct?
Cinzia: I did, the What You've Been Waiting For Tour. One of the best experiences of my life.
Ryan: Why would you consider that one of the best experiences of your life?
Cinzia: Because when your an artist who could never imagine such a thing happening, and when you get there, its a feeling that's indescribable. I'm the type of performers who thinks while they are performing. While I'm out there giving my all I'm just thinking to myself "wow these people are out here for me, this is unbelievable" and the love that I received from all my fans each and every night was just indescribable... A feeling that is so hard to explain.
Ryan: There were reports that you started crying on stage during your performance in Italy, which is your home town...
Cinzia: Yes! I'm a big crybaby ! I cried during the Wicca tour with Electrodeath too. Its like, I'm so caught up in the moment and I love my fans so much and appreciate everything that they've done for me that tears just start rolling down my eyes! Its a shame! But when I was performing in my home, the crowd was just.....crazy. They showed so much love. My family was there, friends. It was once again something I really cannot describe... I was singing ride of a lifetime and it just happened. They knew it was tears of joy and just started cheering more. Its was really something I'll never forget.
Ryan: Let's get back to, you said, the Wicca Tour, is it much different being an opener then a headliner?
Cinzia: It is.. I recognized this when I began setting up for the What You've Been Waiting For tour. Its different. Basically when your headlining your own tour you basically call the shots, and you have most of the show time, most of the audience came to se eyou. But as a supporter, you understand these things and you sort of do what you have to do as an opener. Touring with Electrodeath was also an amazing experience. I got to record with them, film a video and gained three new friends. Close friends. And what made it even more special was the fact that it was happening all before the release of my debut album, special and pressuring at the same time I should say!
Ryan: You also had openers on your tour, how was it touring with Desiree, Isabel and Sammy Griffin.
Cinzia: They all made the tour that much better. They really did. Desiree is a great performer and the crowd really, really loved her. We are both electronic based and a lot of "house heads" were in the crowd. So they were very happy for her to be there with the 'House Movement' sort of reunion. Isabel blew me away with her performance skills and a lot of her fans were out there. The fact that my fans love her and her fans love me made us love eachother in the end, she's seriously a great girl. She's really down to earth and I gained a friend that I'll hopefully be seeing soon! And Sammy, he's another one I enjoyed having on the tour because he's such an excellent performer. Its hard being an opener without and album out but he made it work for an excellent setlist. He's great.
Ryan: Very well! How is DJ Cloud doing? I know he has been with you every step of the way...
Cinzia: Yes he has. And he's great, I love that guy to death. He's my best friend, he's a brother to me. And I just love him. We are so supportive of eachother in everything we do. Business partners, he's my DJ, he's my best friend.. He's everything! Hahaha
Ryan: You and Cloud were recently signed to E-Records. Now you have a joint contract with E and Angel Records. Are you excited about your new venture?
Cinzia: VERY! Over at E-Records is where I needed to be. They are supporting the Electronic thing, it wouldn't be right if I wasn't apart of it and when they approached me, we spoke for hours and hours and I wanted to sign with them because their vision is so clear as to what we want to do. Its a great atmosphere ...I love it
Ryan: Best of luck Cinzia, how do you feel about the acts you are currently label mates with over at E?
Cinzia: I think they are all special. We all want the best for dance music, and I love the music that Electrodeath and Giselle
have been putting out and the new acts being signed are so cool!
Ryan: You also have a new single coming out, as well as the re-release of your debut album. Can you tell us about You Can't (Stop Me Now)?
Cinzia: I love the track because its so positive and it comes from my heart and true experiences. I feel like not only my fans but other people could relate to the message. People will always doubt you and put you down, there's the people that want you to fail so bad but when you start achieving things that could do better for you as a person, or if your dreams are coming true, you just gotta scream "you can't stop me now!" I know all my fans are going to love it. *laughs*.
* Radio Applause *
Ryan: That's very positive Cinzia.
When could we expect a premiere?!
Cinzia: Very...very soon. Just know that! I know the fans and the club heads want it asap, I want them to know I read their emails when I get the time, just know its coming!
Ryan: All the Cinzia fans listening, expect a premiere very soon! You heard it here first!
Ryan: You also confirmed an album re-release, what can we expect from that and why did you decide to re-release the album?
Cinzia: I don't wanna say too much but its going to be great, the tracks that we recorded just continues the saga we call What You've Been Waiting For. We were going to start a new era as soon as the tour started, but I didn't want to rush things and I felt like there was more I wanted to get out after the tour because that would really call for great music. The re-release will come pretty soon too! We can't spill all the beans Ryan ! *laughs*
Ryan: How was it recording with Buzz & Hype? You scored your 3rd #1 single with their "The World Is Mine".
Cinzia: It was pressuring! Let me just say that! *Laughs* Hehe, I love them. There just too funny and such perfectionists, I knew when we first started writing the track they already said "This HAS to be a single" so to myself, I'm going "I have to bring my A game" because I know how they feel about their success. So I went in their and just let go, I pretty much knew what to do because we recorded a track for my album so I just went in there with the intention for this to be a big dance hit and they were really happy with the outcome and had high expectations, and luckily it worked out well*smiles*
Ryan: Do you plan on working with them in the near future?
Cinzia: I'm always open to working with Buzz & Hype. So I really wouldn't be surprised if you saw something else. Nothing is exactly in the works right now, but we do a lot of speaking when we do get a chance to talk, about future stuff but we have both have a really busy year ahead of us.
Ryan: Do you plan on taking a break anytime soon?
Cinzia: Its not that easy to just take a break! Hehe, I'm not tired yet, still got plenty of energy. Just took a few days to just relax after the tour but I think its good enough, us singers have demanding fans! And we have to supply *Smiles*
Ryan: Who do you currently have on your ipod?
Cinzia: I have a lot of music! Aside from the electronic dance scene stuff, I also enjoy listening to Alicia Lena, Katie Coyle, Isabel, Dominic Brown, James Urie and Misery Loves Company, love them and of course Stephanie and Miss Vanity.. The list goes on. I also find Weekend a guilty pleasure of mine.
Ryan: What's your favorite song at the moment?
Cinzia: Definately stuck between Stephanie's Lead Me To Your Heart, The World Is Mine, and Miss Vanity's Beautiful Mistake. Love those!
Ryan: We love those too! Before you leave here Cinzia, do you have anything to say to your fans and supporters?
Cinzia: I know I've said it so many times but thank you so much for all the support and the success no words exactly can explain how thankful I am looking forward to all the surprises and such that I have for the year of 2012!
Ryan: Thank you Cinzia for being here, we've got all your tracks here so as your leaving, which one of your hits would you like us to play?
Cinzia: Play 'Italian Hearted' the song that started it all, thanks for having me!
Ryan: Have a great day Cinzia. Everyone, here is Italian Hearted, on NRJ Radio!
