Radio Vine new transformation in looks, music and wisdom.
Spin writes about the true insight on Radio's early life before her big break in music.  Radio Vine's album, Invention of Me has sold over 2 million copies. Her music and life was the most focus in her signature bizarre styled of rock and soul music. Her dreams and goals are still unreachable, but she has the heart to still chase the impossibles that the world never held her too. Her performances will be the highlight of what true art can be.. the art that Radio took over five years to create within herself and her music. She didn't like the pain, sorrow and tears, but now she accepts the truth and accepts the past because her HE(ART) suffered to create bigger and unique art to become one big artist. Radio had misfits, but she fitted yourself in a world she thought was impossible to fit in. She doesn't give worry about the disorder that held her in a standard that the people held her too, she doesn't worry about the people who never believed in her. She believes that herself, art and music was the only misfits she wanted to have. The life of Radio was a challenging one, but one story that has the world looking at Radio has music's true storyteller. Quote:I didn't want to move thought life without memories. You can always go back and fix something, you can always go on and find another love.. so on, but time passes and memories are once in a lifetime, to me. Because it's the little things you will always remember that makes the memory worth remembering. I wanted to have something that when I'm lost in myself, I will always have something to run to, to find myself.. if that makes sense? (laughs) When Radio Vine first came out with her most known single, " Color Me" record labels and producers said, she didn't have the 'look' and the most outrages personality that isn't the most respectful personality in music. She was hard to work with, her vocals was flawless, but her personality was the reflection on who she was. She was the little girl, raised in a foster home with a lot of problems and so many producers believed she was a little girl who didn't know what she wanted and she was yet confused. Labels rejected her, even thought talent was shown; but misery to yourself was the most shown. She didn't know who she was, and that is a big money loss to her future fans. She was lost in her own mind and her creativity was a little off. People didn't like how she was so on defense about the art she believed in and not trying to be like others when other art seems to be forced on music artist today. She was talented, but we were afraid, what will happen to a girl like this with such a very hard disorder and also a thin skin for such a tough industry? After being rejected from two indie and Independence labels and two managements, Radio went insane for such hungry success. " I didn't know what was going to happen to me, I was so scared that the people that told me, Radio, you are mental, your a stupid ass.. you never will make it.. you just need to get a government check for the disorder.. live a good life with a lot of money... I gave those people the fucking doubt.. I went crazy. I did things that people my age at the time shouldn't done.."In the early years, Radio met her first guy, by the name of Jason that was in a indie band, gave her the first chance at finding someone that understood her as a person. " When I was normal.. he gave me a reason to keep living. He gave me hope in a way.." Jason was the lead singer of a indie band and invited Radio offer to sing backup, Radio didnt take it, but instead did a soft rock track with Jason. " We bonded.. we were close when he came to writing the right track for the two of us... so we wrote on how we felt.. about each other.." Ironically, his feelings wasnt like Radio. The song was written about how lust is mistaken for sex. He didn't sing any love about Radio. He wanted her for sex.. and that was only the one thing that kept Jason around. He felt like Radio was just another girl who wanted a break.. she was desperate, at the time Radio was. She will be desperate for love and attention, after moving out of the foster home and being homeless for a couple of days. She was desperate for a life when she was growing up.. she imagined.

One summer night after coming back from one of the band's concerts.. him and Radio went in a hotel room, the next day Radio had a recording session. Radio was almost raped.. knowing that Radio was a very violent girl, she fought him until she made a escape out of the room. " That was hard as fuck.. he was a strong guy.. but nuts sure do give in.. but I couldn't believe in.. it was so shocking to me.. that a guy that sweet did that to me.. that bruised me for life.." Radio wrote music about him.. the band.. the music, being her and her music inside a dark box. that no one understood. " OH SHIT! I was going to be hurt, just being a person and my music was.. so I was so sheltered in myself." Radio was a girl that had such dark creations and her heart was fulled with regret and sorrow. She planned a life like a princess and always wanted the best for yourself. Why did people treat just a sweet girl that way? She answered questions, late at night, suicide thoughts was Radio's best friend and she was the blockage of what her fully potential was. She was the true enemy of what success could be for her. The nights where Radio will walk the streets, finding the place she will be most safest at. But one day- she called Allison With, (Radio's best friend) to her going to live with her in a small uptown Apartment in New York. She flew to her and started a fresh start for herself and more importantly, her music... Allison was also a vocalist and songwriter and helped Radio overcome the fear that she craved to much in herself. She was afraid of rejection and sorrow again. She will stay inside when With will go shopping.. she wanted someone to love her like a foster caretaker will.. she was so use to what she was given as a child, that she wanted the world to be the same way. Why not just be customed to what she was so comfortable with? She was face with harsh reality in such a cold world, but continue to have music guide her with soul and
courage. " I remember the day I performed at open mic at this New York bar and I was so scared because it was this one white lady, she was giving up some dirty looks ALLL night. She sat right in the front so the whole time I was trying not to look at her, I got passed the performance, but after the club.. I thought about it and I came to my mind that if I let people get the best of me, why the fuck am I living? because that's a life story.. people will try to push and push you to the extreme.. and in that case, I was.. I always threw myself to the worst people and reacted in just a big way that people looked at my differently.. I didnt give a fuck, but I wanted to know that I can always overcome what I had to challenge.." The boundiers that no human being should set was set by a someone who was a artist, but had to go though so much for her music to be a story. She felt pain, but never knew why. She felt happiness, but didnt want to feel that. She felt rejection, but wanted to feel the success. She felt music... but wanted people to hear and speak thought just emotionally music that will one day be seen as life chapter of many people. She fall.. as a child, when Radio will fall.. she never got up.. at that second, but her strength was broken.. her courage was blocked and her emotions was scared. She will look up at Mrs. Pearl (her foster home mother) and cry.. she will put out a hand and she never took it.. she will always just look, but she will never get back on that bike. She will walk right pass it and never rode it again. " Fear was the token of her life.. she was so scared.. and people never understood why.." She had just a thin heart and believed the words many people said. She took life and music as a escape, but she took the fear and courage as a victory if she will ever win. The whole test is can Radio grow courage and the heart to still chase a dream even though rejection was the hell and she wanted heaven for people to understand her more. She feared death.. death was a form of rejection. She will get close to someone.. start to feel that she wasnt alone.. and they will die. Without any sorrow, she will still turn to music.. and music never let her down, but the people around her did. " She always wanted to know why did the people around her was just fading away.. was she met to be alone..?" She seemed that Radio was a flower, a flower that never really grew but thought the eyes of people she did.. she didn't never let lies face her heart. She will always scream and cry when she knew that the truth was a lie because she was a person who had enough of being taken advantage of and never looked at as a serious people. She wanted to just see herself as this " person who can change music and history.. make history." not.. just a girl.. " She is just another vocalist.." Dont judge me, she said... make me feel what I WANT to feel.. don't judge me by who I am.. something I cant change.. judge me by the actions that only I can understand. Will she ever be strong enough labels asked.. " I want them to listen to me then and listen to me now.. so much has grown.. and I NEVER wanted to grow.. I was afraid of going out and experiencing myself so I can grow and that disorder was a shadow of me.. now that I can grown as a person and artist.. that disorder is just another challenge that I bet... a race that I finished and a sorrow that I captured.."  Radio Vine didn't hire and schedule a big photo shoot for the Spin photoshoot. She just hired one photographer, her and no one else. She didnt bring a entourage or a team. She wanted to make a one and one connection with the photographer, to capture her new confidence beauty in still being unique, but still digging deep in the true beauty Radio never thought she had. She stands and looks with confidence, but still has concerns in with her heart, but she deals with the time comes. Now.. she looks at herself for only improvement. Shoot by Peter Hangs. During the shoot, she played piano and guitar instrumentals, with a very calming and relaxing environment. She even told the Spin Staff to take a few minutes off before they continue to shoot again thought the day. She blew kisses to the photographer to give him love, gave the staff a new copy of her album. A sneak peek of her new single, not from Invention Of Me called " Only When I'm Happy." She requested Green Tea during hair and makeup, that she did herself. She even performed her new single, that will soon be on the Spin website. She said that her and Nadia Berry are great friends and she is in love with Cinzia Ricca. After the shoot, she had a car waiting outside to her inviting the whole staff out to dinner for the celebration of the article. Radio was just a pure and happy when she was realizing art was always inside her heart, but it takes so much to bring out the true art that makes you who you are today. |
