Don't have a clue what the last track is lol. But overall, I love this album!

Well, this was about as terrible as I would have expected.

No, you don't always have to talk about pain in music, but having some manner of maturity, knowledge and respect of song-writing/music, and talent in singing definitively couldn't hurt.

If your track has the term "hoes" in it, and it isn't by Richard Pryor then I don't want to hear it.

Two third graders recently got caught performing oral sex in their school room during class. This same generation is growing up listening to this shit. My faith in society is failing considerably by the day.

I don't have anything against songs that use the word "ho" a lot, nor do I have anything against happy music. I just don't like bubblegum pop with my rap, doesn't feel right and it never did. Rap is either a serious affair or cool and laidback. Not very happy and slightly epileptic.

Of course, but do you not find it particularly ridiculous that two third graders were caught performing it in the middle of their class room under their desks? It's not really the point of the thread or what I was getting at though, so no need arguing. ;) It just pisses me off when I can go to the local skating rink and not know whether the barely clothed girl I'm staring at is close to my age of 17 or if she's 10.

(sarcasm with honesty on that one, I actually can usually tell a 10 year old from a 17 year old, but the way they dress has become reversed. 10 years old's are wearing low cut jeans and belly-shirts while caked with make-up, while 17 years old's are dressing civilized.)

As for "hoes", it's just not a very mature thing to say. Besides that though, she uses it far too often.

LOVE Nicki Minaj... but this album has NO direction. I see where she was trying to go since she has two split audiences which is probably pressuring for her. I think the album is.....soso but....barely..although I do really like the first half of of the album. There's tracks that stand out and tracks that just make me go WTF! But still gotta support my girl...

Lil' Kim kinda is better than her though (albeit in the same way that getting flogged is better than immolation).

@RJF; She's just not that different IMO. People keep on telling me, "You can't describe her style!" I can, she's a pop-rapper crossover, in the same way that Usher is an RnB-Rapper crossover. It's not that different. She isn't Lightning Bolt, she isn't Liz Phair, she isn't Aphex Twin, she isn't even Earl Sweatshirt. She can be considered different if you're comparing her to the semi-closed mainstream rap scene, she can seem pretty different but to people who venture outside, she's pretty run-of-the-mill if not a bit closed-minded.

Rapid success =/= Icon Status. Look at Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice. Really, Nicki Minaj was 2011's M.I.A. who was 2010's Eve and so on and so on. She doesn't dominate the industry, she's a shitty rapper (IMO of course) and she's using gimmicks to try to keep herself afloat. No longevity.

My favourite part of it all is that people who chastise Lady GaGa for trying too hard are the same ones who love Ms Minaj for "being different"...
