'How To Set An Example' is the sophomore album from Stacey Walton. Recorded during the latter half of 2011 and the beginning of 2012, this album had been hugely anticipated due to Stacey's successful debut. However, after being diagnosed bipolar, Stacey stated that she was leaving the music business and looked unlikely to ever return. With no word from Stacey over the last 6 months it actually seemed that she would not release any new material, leaving millions of fans disappointed. Locked away from the rest of the world, Stacey was actually working hard writing and recording her sophomore effort; 'How To Set An Example'.
Stacey's second album still contains her edgy teenage angst filled writing talents, however she shows more maturity throughout this record. She also plays around with many genres on this album; from the Alternative pop sounds on 'Someone I'm Not' & 'The River' to the Rock Pop inspired tracks such as 'Radio', 'Whatever Makes You Happy' and 'In The Middle'. One thing that does annoy us though is that we have no idea who helped produce these tracks and who helped out during the writing process. Did Ms. Walton do it all herself of has she secretly been working with top musicians? Will she be releasing this independently? Will she flop? however, one thing's for sure, it's great to see Stacey back.
