Before the show
Jennifer sat backstage in her dressing room as her hairstylist styled her hair into curls for tonight's show. She had already gone through make up and changed into her costume, leaving just her hair the last to be done. While waiting for her hair to be finished, she practiced singing warm up notes to prepare her voice for the show. Millions of thoughts rambled through her mind but the main thought that kept her worried was all the pressure of this performance. She knew it had to be great because she didn't want to be a failure to herself and everyone else like she had before. Flashbacks of the news stories of Jen being in the hospital suddenly appeared in her head. She quickly pushed the thoughts out of her mind but that didn't keep her from questioning the lack of confidence she felt. In her heart she was ready to give this performance her all but her mind felt otherwise.
It had been a year since Jennifer performed in front of millions of screaming fans, though she had been an opening act for Cinzia Ricci a few weeks back, it still didn't compare to the fact that tonight she would be performing not only to those who showed up to the awards but also to the people watching all around the world at home. The pressure alone seemed to be getting the best of her as she thought about all the possible ways she could screw up tonight. Not wanting to do so, she calmed herself down then muttered, “I can do this. Just think positive.” One of the members from backstage called to Jennifer, interrupting her thoughts. “Hey Jen, they're ready for you.” She turned to him and nodded, the man walked away and Jennifer followed behind him. She could hear the announcer getting ready to announce her name so she quickly scurried over to her position with her band mates standing behind her. Soon after a man yelled, Places people, we're starting in 5..... 4..... 3...... 2....... 1!”
The curtain lifted and Jennifer could hear the screaming fans cheering and chanting her name. All around the room, the lights were dim for a few moments until a spotlight shined down on Jennifer to reveal her standing in front of a mic stand. She gave a small wave to the crowd, making them scream even louder. Jennifer smiled as she leaned into the mic to speak, “I love you guys. Lets rock!” As on que, the upbeat music to “Queen Bee” began to play, causing majority of the crowd to stand on their feet. Jennifer smiled once more at the energy she felt in the room and then began to sing.

The music stopped and Jennifer stood looking out into the audience. All around in different directions screams could be heard, even a few random“I love you Jen!” or “You're the best Scarlet!” Jennifer grinned then leaned into the mic to speak, “I love you guys too! What do you think, should I sing another song?” People begin screaming again, confirming they'd like to hear her sing another song. “Okay then. I will. Let's see if you guys remember this one. Hit it!” More lights shine down to reveal Jennifer's band, standing behind her, playing a pop beat with heavy drums and guitars. The lights on stage change again, revealing blue and yellow lights. As Jen begins to sing, “If Its Just Me,” she kicks the mic stand back a little.

Jennifer hits the last note and the songs ends. The crowd cheers for a while until they see Jen put her finger up to her lips to shush them. The lights dim low like earlier in the show as everyone waits in anticipation to see what happens next. A few moments later, a spotlight shines down on Jennifer to reveal Jennifer sitting down at a black Yamaha piano. There is a water bottle next to her, she reaches over to pick it up and take a sip. Putting it back down, she leans into the mic set up in front of her to say a couple of words. “This next song means a lot to me and excuse me if I happen to pause a lot during it.” The room is silent and all eyes are on Jennifer. She begins to play “My Heart Is Not For Taking” on the piano before leaning into the mic to begin singing the song.

Before the song comes back to the chorus again, one of her friends come to take over and play the piano. Jennifer gets up and heads over to the mic stand she had been originally standing at. The crowd is puzzled by the sudden change up but after the camera zooms in to Jennifer's face they quickly see why. Jennifer hands are shaking and tears are seen falling down her face as she grips the mic and the mic stand. Still remaining silent, the crowd cheers to encourage her, causing Jen to get the strength to sing through the rest of the song.

A picture of Max and Jennifer together shows up on the big screen behind Jen as the song ends. The audience begin to stand and cheer loudly, chanting Jennifer's name. As they do, she looks out around the room and tries to manage a grin, even though performing that song had really broken her down. Still, thinking to herself, she didn't want to fall to pieces just yet.
There was still one more song she had to sing, placing her mic back into the stand, she begin to speak into it. “Thank you. I have just one more song to sing for you all. It's my newest single and its called, Another Pretty Lie.” The crowd cheered as a pop rock beat begin to play, livening up the room all around. Blue and purple lights shined down onto Jennifer and her band as did some fog. Jennifer begin to sing the song while noticing the crowd was already loving the song, making her spirits feel high once more.

She finishes out the entire song and the crowd breaks out into a loud cheer. Jennifer smiles before leaning down to take a bow, taking in all of the crowd's praise. She hangs out for a bit more, waving and blowing kisses at her fans, then exits off the stage with her crew, heading backstage. Once backstage, she screams excitedly at her band mates as they all celebrate how well tonight's show went. Jennifer goes to give them all a hug and individually telling them thank you. When she's done, she's escorted back to her dressing room, where she changes her clothes before heading back to her seat to finish watching the rest of the show.Setlist:
