Released: April 12th, 2012Format: CD Single, Digital DownloadRecorded: Chicago, IllinoisGenre: Symphonic MetalLength: 4:36Label: Chaos RecordsWritten By: Lily AbbotProducer: Phil N.Song DescriptionThis is the, rumored, next single Lily will release off the E.P. The song begins with a piano being played which eventually leads to the full band playing. Lily sings the first verse in her natural, soprano like tone but yet also low at the same time. As she goes into the chorus, her voice seems to get higher and there's an effect that you can hear as if she had an echo in the background but it's her voice in a lower tone. It gives the song a spooky, eerie like effect. As she sings, you can hear the guitar being played almost trying to match the tone of her voice. She sings the next verse, her voice going back to the high, low tone. She sings the chorus but the second time, changing the last line. As she sings the line, "And when it's done, You'll recognize,The last beat of your true love", she holds the last note until it fades into the brief instrumental part. You can hear what almost hears like chants when she sings the "Ahh, Ahh, Ahh,." part, her voice of course higher and outshining the others. She sings the small bridge part holding that last note also. The same piano pattern that was played in the beginning is heard after the singing of the bridge. The full band then kicks in as she sings the chorus twice then fades out with the band playing.
Quote:”I wrote this song about a year ago. The whole concept came to me when I was watching something, I can't remember, and I thought about being buried alive, and how that must feel. It's about this girl who everyone thinks is dead but she's really not and she's at he own funeral alive, literally being buried alive. She's hoping that her lover will realize that she's not dead before it's too late. The chorus is her basically pleading to herself how she wishes he will know she's alive and that if he listens he can hear her heartbeat in his own and that their love will help her climb, meaning he'll figure it out and she can climb out of the grave. This will most definitely be my next single after Not As Big because I think it's a powerful song and I love it. I chose to include the piano playing at the last minute because it originally was never in there but to me the song needed a kind of softer side and the piano did just that.”
[Verse 1] A flower without a name, it dies alone No one there to cry Without it's beauty, gazed by others It turns into a little shy Flower without a name, it dies alone No flying to the skies It touched the one of others, It touched the ones who dared cry
[Chorus] Oh how I wish Just one last time, Our hearts will beat, they intertwine Oh how I wish, Just one last time My love for you will help me climb
[Verse 2] This is me, now and forever No hero can survive Taking the last breathe of the sinful World that has left me to die I walk in darkness, never ending Following what's true I gave my all to everyone I gave my all to you
[Chorus] Oh how I wish Just one last time, Our hearts will beat, they intertwine Oh how I wish, Just one last time My love for you will help me climb
Oh how I wish Just one last time, Our hearts will beat, they intertwine And when it's done You'll recognize The last beat of your true love
Ahh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh Ahh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh,
Wait till they have come, No where left to run
[Chorus] Oh how I wish Just one last time, Our hearts will beat, they intertwine Oh how I wish, Just one last time My love for you will help me climb
Oh how I wish Just one last time, Our hearts will beat, they intertwine And when it's done You'll recognize The last beat of your true love Your true love
