Luke Striker: "I cannot wait to release my debut album"


Luke Striker, the 19 year musician who rose to fame this year with his hits "Come Back Home Someday" the slow and alternative rock tune that reached a very impressive #2 on the Digital Charts (independently!) and his current single and first #1 of his career, "Your Conflicted Heart" which travels on a more mainstream pop rock lane and has most presently gotten him snapped up by Studio 60 records and a spot on the legendary Miss Vanity's Good Mourning Tour, set to kick off in July. With all this success coming even before his debut album release, Luke, has been hard at work on the anticipated release. He recently opened up about the album:

I'm just really excited for it. I have been recording non stop and I just cannot wait to release it. Because I think it's an incredible album. I don't want people to think I'm one dimensional and will only stick to the soft rock and alternative stuff, but I also wanted to explore into pop rock, take a look at Come Back Home Someday, and Your Conflicted Heart. They're two different types of songs, with similar topics but for two different purposes, with Your Conflicted Heart being more for radio. With this album, I want people to not be fed the same thing, I want it to be an enjoyable listen, not a boring one so the ones who were there from the beginning and loved my debut track in Sorry Again, as well as Come Back Home Someday wont be let down and the ones who love Your Conflicted Heart will also enjoy the album. I must say, I'm really surprised with not only how amazing and incredible things have been, but I'm surprised in how well the album actually turned out and I'm really, really excited for people to hear it. It's done, just a few more things to be recorded and I think where ready to go.


Luke is indeed correct, as Your Conflicted Heart which features Jennifer Armstrong, topped the Radio Charts last week impacting an astonishing 300 million audience members, and lets be honest it has become quite the sleeper hit as many weren't expecting it to top the charts. Including, Luke.

Now that I see what it feels like, #1 songs may not be everything in the world but they are quite the confidence boosters, anyone who says otherwise has to be lying

Shantel Stiletto confirms Mixtape that will "Take Care Of Some Unfinished Business" To Be Released This Month



Versatile rapper Shantel Stiletto has had a wild month since returning back on the scene after some what fading into obscurity after being dropped from her then label, Monk On Fire Music almost two years ago as her career was set to take off. During that time she released two singles, both of which reached the top 10 on the charts with one of them reaching #4 (Stiletto Music ft. Chloe) as well as taking part in a feud with another female artist in Allura Silk. However, before her debut album was released, she and Monk On Fire Music parted ways for unknown reasons.

This year, although Shantel seemed to go quite unnoticed, she bounced back on the scene eager to make a bigger mark than she did before, this time in a different way however as surprising her fans, and listeners as she contacted DJ Cloud and independently released the Rap/Dance Pop concoction in 'Y.O.L.O' hoping to at least break the top 20 on the charts. Shantel, to her surprise broke the top 10 with the single in its first week and it ultimately got her signed by Tric Jam Records.

This here isn't about the single, it is about the all new mixtape that Shantel has confirmed to be released this month called Watch The Throne: The Mixtape. In the cover she is sitting at a throne with a crown on, warning others to watch her throne....

Although the single in Y.O.L.O was criticized by by some fans as selling out hip hop, Stiletto insisted that she's going to push boundaries and not be one dimensional, but remain "as hip hop as hip hop can be" and soon released the hip hop fused "Who Want It" just to prove to her fans, as well as show her versality seemingly going from dancepop to hard rap.

Who Want It? Is the promotional single, also known as the Allura Silk diss where Shantel blatantly takes very offensive shots at Allura re-igniting their feud, behind a pulsating thumping beat where Shantel brings her machine gun flow to the track. The single is taken off of the mixtape before it hits stores later this month. The mixtape will NOT include Shantel's current single Y.O.L.O but will remain as a "fully packaged hip hop monster" and "a mixtape to take care of some unfinished business".

Watch The Throne will be the first mixtape by a rap artist to be released since Matty's FreshMixx released more than a year ago! Shantel intends on reviving rap, and if she has to do it all alone, she has "no problem doing that". Stay tuned as Who Want It? Hits digital outlets and radio this Sunday as Y.O.L.O continues to sit comfortably on the charts.

CLASH OF THE BOY BANDS ROUND 1: WILLIAMS VS. KHAN

Last night another vicious celebrity fued broke out and no, it doesn't involve two rappers who have 'beef' with each other or a hormonal teenage couple. The newest fued to come to light is between Weekend's bad boy, Billy Khan and AJ Williams, a member of ELMNT who are set to make their debut performance on Star Factory tomorrow. Like most spats nowadays, it all started on Twitter when AJ tweeted the following;

Well known for voicing his opinion, 18 year old Billy Khan retaliated almost straight away with harsh words;

Now if that wasn't bad enough, the argument continued for a good few hours and escalated with each tweet becoming more vicious and nasty. It's now been reported that the two may enter a fist fight with one another. AJ claims that Billy will be 'hospitalised' when he's done with him where as Billy claims Mr Williams is acting tough from behind a screen but would back off and run home if they ever met in person. Close friend to Billy and a fellow Star Factory contestant competing against ELMNT, Keli O'Day has reportedly gave Weekend tickets to see the first live show. Since the boys have a habbit of making great yet intense live TV, we're sure that the show won't go smoothly with AJ and Billy in the same building.

Ryan: Nobody. They should all be banned from the music industry. All these boy bands need to go. It's 2012, not the mid-1990s. We don't need a boy band revival. Fuck entertainers. The music industry needs more musicians, singers, songwriters, who put music above all.
