After looking around the room for a while she see's Callum sat alone. She sighs and slowly makes her way over to where Callum is, she takes a deep breath before looking at him, she attempts to smile but it proves too difficult for her.

Callum looks up at her, taken by surprise. "Uh... Yeah, of course." he tries to pull off a convincing smile but eventually gives up and just looks down at the table.

She sits down on the chair opposite Callum, she starts playing with her fingers and is clearly nervous. She opens her mouth and is about to say something but stops, a couple of moments pass and she tries again. "H-h-how have you been?" she stutters her words and stares down at her feet in embarrasment.

She stares blankly at the beer coaster on the table, not even attempting to make eye contact with him, "I've been better, I guess". During the awkward silences you can hear nervous tapping of her feet under the table before finally one of them speaks again, "I guess we need to talk?", the expression on her face is that of sadness and tiredness, the once lively traits of the 18 year old has now been replaced by a very low energy awkwardness.

"I don't know what I want." She continues to stare down at the table, "I thought that I wanted that at the time but ..." She sighs and closes her eyes, "It's all messed up now because ..." She shakes her head and stops talking completely.

She pulls her hand away from him, "Don't ... please" She moves back slightly before dropping her head down onto her arms that are resting on the table, "I can't do this to you again." She mumbles before looking up at him.

She rubs her head and sighs, "Last time ... I left .. and hurt you." She sniffles, as a couple of tears roll down her cheek, "It's ... happening again." She holds her own hand tightly, digging her nails into the palm of her hand in an attempt to force herself to be brave, "It's not that I don't want to be engaged ... I don't ... I don't love you." the couple of tears are now almost floods. She stands up from her seat.

She closed her eyes tightly once more, opening them again before unclipping the necklace from her neck, she ran it through her fingers, taking the engagement ring from the centre of the chain. She places it down onto the table, unable to barely say anything, she sighs "I'm sorry". She turned and began to walk away from his table.

Amy forced herself to not look back at him, she shuffled through the bar and to the glass doors at the front of the hotel, she sat down on a wooden bench, she just held her own arms tightly while staring blankly at the road.

Part 1 - The Performance

Serenity is sitting backstage waiting to be announced to perform at the hotel. She heard that Ronnie and Josh from the rising band 8 Mile Rock was there in the audience. "Hmm, she told her friend. Do you think those boys from 8 Mile Rock are here to scout for someone to join their band?", she desperately asked her good friend Pamela. "Who? 8 Mile who?", Pamela asks.
Serenity took a halt from brushing her hair for a moment. "You haven't heard their new song Lights Go Black? You've got to be kidding me Pam.", Serenity furiously asks Pamela. Pamela scratches her head, "Well I don't know, never heard of them as of yet.".
Serenity unfreezes from her halt and continued brushing her hair. 5 minutes later, the announcer announces to the audience that the upcoming performer Serenity, will be hitting the stage in less than 10 minutes. Serenity nervously starts to panic. "Oh my god Pam, I'm up next!", she furiously tells Pamela. "Don't worry, relax. I'm sure you'll do just great.", Pamela told Serenity. "There's only about, ummm.... around 120 people in the audience.", Pamela giggles. Serenity opens her eyes stunningly, "Are you serious!?" she asks nervously.
"The biggest audience I ever performed in front of was about 15 people, and that was in a subway back in New York when I was visiting my uncle. Oh god Pamela what am I going to do?!?!", she asks Pamela. Pamela zips up Serenity's dress from behind and says "I'm sure you'll do fine. You've been practicing non-stop for weeks now, I'm sure you'll do a fantastic job.". "Alright Pam, I trust you're word.
And yeah, you're damn right I been practi-", (the announcer says it's time for Serenity to hit the stage and the audience applauds). "Well, I guess it's time", Serenity tells Pamela. "Don't worry, just try not to run out of breath. And when you do, just try to breath in from you're nose and breath out from you're mouth.", she winks as she gives Serenity advice. "Thanks Pam, that's why I love you!", Serenity tells Pamela. Serenity then makes her way up to the stage and she introduces herself to the crowd.

"Well, Hi, my name is Serenity... Serenity Scott that is. I'm a girl from California". A guitarist is playing really softly in the background. "My dream was to always become a famous singer... To become famous for rocking the guitar on stage.. and to tour the world. Since I was little, I always loved performing.! So here we go!!!". Serenity starts to play the guitar to the notes of Lily's song Left For Dead. She finishes the song and continues the performance, covering 8 Mile Rock's latest single Lights Go Black.

After finishing up the performance covering Encode by Paramore, the crowd cheers her on and she smiles and waves, heading back towards backstage.
