 Suzie's "Burn Away" is Produced By Paul Epworth; was reportedly paid a huge amount of cash.
Suzie seems to be back at her tricks again as more information on her new single has been released. Today, it is known that Suzie's new track has been produced by music hit maker Paul Epworth, a mega producer who is responsible for most of the music we hear from the Pretty Little Freaks, Adele, and many others. The versatile producer who can create anything from an Indie masterpiece to Dance Pop hit was reportedly paid a nice amount of cash to be able to produce a track that can add itself to the list of hits Suzie has already managed, somehow, to get. This however is more important as it's the first single.
The Swedish pop tart who is nearly done with her highly anticipated sophomore album, is set to bring her A-game to this years Total Annihilation where she will performing the new track, among others, but rumors are spreading that we will get the world premiere sometime this week, or next. Suzie has been really excited about the track, as she has been boasting on Twitter lately about how great the track is, and how different it sounds then anything else on the radio....what do you think Suzie will bring to the table? NADIA BERRY'S MOTHER DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER According to a source, it has been revealed that mother of pop songstress Nadia Berry has been diagnosed with breast cancer.Christine Berry, aged 55, reportedly received the news only a few days ago, and Nadia is said to be "trying to put on a brave face" whilst on tour with superstar Katie Coyle. Not much is known on Nadia's mother, as Nadia has tried to keep her mother safely out of the public eye as much as possible since her own rise to fame, but the source mentioned the pair are "insanely close", adding that the two have been talking on the phone every other day since Nadia moved to America, and still do whilst she's on tour. The source said, "Nadia was obviously heartbroken when she was told, she's very family oriented and has always had a strong relationship with her mother. She's trying to put a brave face on when she performs on stage, but everyone can see it's killing her. She hasn't told anyone the news and is just trying to block it all out for now, the timing couldn't be worse for her with her being on tour right now." With the tour, as well as a new album on the way in a few months, will Nadia be able to handle all of the stress? Watch this space! |

Forgotten girl to return to music industry?Stacey Walton hints at new music on her own website She was once the golden girl of guitar-based indie music, with the world at her feet and her own future nestling comfortably in the palm of her very own hand, the freedom to go any which way she wanted. Such was her fame in early 2011, that Katie Coyle was once known as the up-and-coming Stacey Walton, their brand of acoustic pop and origins in London drawing a number of similarities between the pair.
Fast forward just over a year however, and the two could not be more different. While Coyle's career has accelerated itself into the stratosphere, bringing copious number ones and stadium tours, it was almost as if Stacey Walton disappeared with all but a quiet whimper. It has been well documented in the weeks and months that have passed since then that the singer has had some mental health issues, often credited to the fact that she had it all so young.
However, if you were, like Culture Uncut, hoping to hear from Stacey at some point in the future, then the time could finally be here. The 21-year-old took to her official website tonight for the first time in a long time to hint at a return to the music industry. While avid fans may have hoped that the first time they heard from their hero in almost a year would have been to confirm a release date, or a tour, or even just the intention to do something, the cryptic message will surely send the usual internet chatrooms into all manner of metldown with the speculation about what we were meant to assume or take from it.
"It seems I left the lights on after all..." read the solitary first line of the long statement at StaceyWalton.com.
"I always wondered if it would be totally shrouded in darkness when I came back here, just the cobwebs and things that would remind me of a time when people knew who I was. But no, the lights are still on, and I guess that means I can still draw some sort of hope from it all."
She continued later on in the statement by giving fans some sort of hint at music to come in the future.
"And now comes time to do a bit of spring cleaning. I suppose when you up and leave a place for such a long time you're always going to end up coming back to find it in some state of disrepair. The question swirls around whether or not it's better to just cut your losses and sell up though, or do you take out the ladder, the paint tin...the notebook, and try to make it look like it once did.
"I always was a fan of DIY...but one thing is for sure; this is a design job that I won't be diving into too quickly. It would be easy to try to redecorate everything in just a few weeks, but all that will happen is I end up with a finished job that I look back on later and frown. I think for this one, I'll take it one room at a time. Maybe just let something flow out...and see what people think....:)"
So far, net-based theorists seem to be playing on the idea that Stacey is using the metaphor of an abandoned house to signify her career in the music industry. But what do you think? Culture Uncut wants to know your opinions! |
