The music is described s as having "a pounding heartbeat, twinkly piano and swooping strings",and as having "somber piano, crashing drums and hand-claps". The piano and string arrangements "roll mournfully" over the percussion.
The song talks about Izzy not wanting to go on without revisiting the past and getting over it, find a sense of closure. In the first verse, she talks about leaving the person 'cold hearted' and starts to say things the person spoke to her before the break up, which is what the song is obviously about. Some might even say the song is about ex boyfriend Kato. In the pre-chorus, she expresses how it's hard to control who you love and it's addicting sometimes but you just can't fight it. The chorus is when the strings and percussion really hit heavy as Izzy sings in a soft, powerful voice unlike any other. She also expresses her wish to make things right and to move on from this grievement the two share. Izzy is able to tell a beautiful story through this song, who it's addressed to? The answer is foggy. Izzy has been known to write about other past boyfriends, which one? We have no clue.
It's clear this is another hit, hopefully, for the team of Izzy and close friend/boss/Producer Gia Rose-Hilton. The two have worked together on numerous hits in the past which have done impressively well on the charts. The two quickly began working on her new album while the 19 year old was on tour. She recently announced her openess to working with new artists and new producers, even writers. She talked a little about the album saying, "It's a different album for me. There's no real set genre because it's filled with almost every genre." Will this be another hit for her or has she reached her full potential already?
