Track Description: Lights Go Black is a inspirational track written and produced again by band member Ronnie Hamilton. The song was also co-written by some of the other members Bruce and Josh. "A lot of people has lived out there dreams only to crash. We wanted to write a song of hope for those people. Not only is this song written for those who had lost it, but for those who dream big. Keep believing and you'll eventually succeed", said Ronnie Hamilton, the backup vocals/guitarist for the band. "Right now I feel as if my dreams, excuse me, our dreams are not being lived up right now. We have no label, no money, no anything at this point. I feel like our dreams are finally about to come to reality since the band and I moved on to the official competition on Star Factory. We're just keeping our heads up and are somehow still managing to keep our tires filled with air", said lead vocalist/guitar for the band. The track begins with electric guitar playing for a few seconds as usual. Drums and electric guitar playing are Josh sings the first verse, starting out singing
"A lot of my friends are long gone. Singing in the dust the same song. This journey I'm on has been long". After the first verse, the chorus/hook kicks in with Josh and Ronnie's powerful vocals and flawless guitar playing, starting of with memorable lines. After the chorus, Ronnie sings the second verse with a little backup by Josh, and the chorus begins shortly after. As the song progresses, Daniel's drumsticks are constantly hitting the surface of his drums. When the chorus is over and the final verse is sung by Josh, the chorus is sung by both Josh and Ronnie for the final song, and after a few seconds, the song is over
Lyrics:
A lot of my friends are long gone
Singing in the dust the same song
This journey I'm on has been long
Still I'm feeling the rush to push on
But sometimes you go so far that you can't turn back
You can get so caught up that you can't react
As you watch your empire of hopes and dreams
Crash down in front of you breaking at the seams
And it seems all I can do is watch
Cause my times running out, hear the ticking of the clock
Take this and burn it up
Your cup hath runeth up
Light Up The Match
You Can't Look Back
Come So Far For That
As The Light Goes Black
Slips Right Through The Cracks
Funny how things change
Going from this to then
Once one way now never again
You're told to dream, no never give in
But when our hard work falls down
where do you go then?
As a little boy I was told
Things get rough you keep going
But that's hard to do on a path so unknowing
You walk tough and you hope you're fear ain't showing
But in the game life it get's scary
To deal with the cards you might be holding
Take this and burn it up
Your cup hath runeth up
Light Up The Match
You Can't Look Back
Come So Far For That
As The Light Goes Black
Slips Right Through The Cracks
Slipping through the cracks, no more turning back
For what I want and where it's at
Looking at the past, this moment couldn't last
But it all went by so fast
Life's promise passed me again
And it goes so strong then all of a sudden ends
And means more then just the success and the wins
Like your family,like your friends
Your Wife and your kids
Enjoy what you have cause you might not get it again
I tried so hard and wouldn't quit, and now all that's left is Shit
How did it all come to this
The thing that I wanted so much was right in my grasp
But as tight as my hold it slipped right through the cracks
Take this and burn it up
Your cup hath runeth up
Light Up The Match
You Can't Look Back
Come So Far For That
As The Light Goes Black
Slips Right Through The Cracks
