Song Description

It starts with a cheer leader drum look like sequence, which is followed by bass and percussion as the song goes entering to its first verse. Around this introduction sound the girls sing like they were cheering for someone, but also like they were calling everyone to get into the mood of the song. Before the girls start to sing the first verse of the song the melody is increased by a house beat plus a piano riff, but the drums are cut out so the verses of the song can be listened better by the listeners. The song doesn’t have a pop structure, it does not have a formed chorus or a pre-chorus, there’re only verses and different ways to sing each verse. Also the girls sing the entire song together, they’re voices are combined giving the song a funny and cool feel.

This song is an invitation to dance; we can clearly see some references on house dance – pop songs which are currently dominating the charts. There’s a point in this song where all melodies are played loudly with an addition of claps and a dance base sound, making the song a little bit more pop and approachable then when it started out.
Lyrically the song is about having fun in a club, listening to the song which is being played and flirting with guys, to later having something more deep like an affair or maybe a new love. But it also talks about the begging of these love things, it could be referred to the moment where the person is excited on meeting someone.

Magie Lena Comment

We first work with DJ Cloud, in some remixes of old singles from our last album. He got this unique style of mixing house elements with dance – pop songs making everything sound as a hit! You see how much Cinzia Ricci has succeed with his productions, we felt like we should work on original song with him, this time. This was the first song he made with us at my place in L.A. We were like in a creation section, just searching for inspiration and suddenly he came up with the idea of making a song inspired on cheerios and things like that, then it was taking a form which ended up being ‘Began’.

It’s a great song, I love the anticipation of happiness it bring to its listeners, It can become a big hit too, because it’s commercial enough to reach the most people possible in the world. I have to admit that DJ Cloud is probably one of the best hit makers on electronic scene nowadays. We’re so happy to have him working with us.

Lilly Comment

I wrote the lyrics for this song, all by myself. A totally new experience for me, I never wrote songs by myself, specially the funniest ones. So it was fantastic for me to find such an excitement feeling inside me and put it out in a song like I did with this one.

I blame DJ Cloud, because he made this amazing cheering melody and that made me feel so excited and funny enough to write the song. He’s a good friend, he and Cinzia actually are amazing people, we showed Cinzia the album before it was released, I have to say it was a dancing crazy afternoon, LOL.

2. Holy Annihilation

Song Description

The song starts with an electric drum sequence plus a piano house beat, with the addition of some special effects such as echoes and auto-tune. Seconds after the introduction over the same song structure Magie starts to sing the first lines of the song, which keeps going normally with a subtle adding of bass. When the song reaches its pre –chorus, the drums change to switch from the first strophe of the song to the chorus of it, during the pre-chorus the piano melody becomes higher than it was, and the drums stopped, a new electronic effect which can be compared to a church choir, Lilly sings the pre – chorus.

The chorus is softer than the first strophe of the song, it is basically the pre –chorus melodies plus a strong dubstep beat, which we can clearly hear that industrial bass and drum sequence and it goes growing and growing becoming louder, in a level that depending on the volume you’re listening to it, probably it will heart your eardrums.

After the chorus the song enters in its hock dubstep melody break. mISTER_b scream with a guttural voice the phrase ‘HANDLE THIS’ and so he shows all his crazy dubstep mix which you can hear the use of bass, a fast drum sequence and several industrial sounds, at some point some electro – house elements are used to make the song cooler and more approachable to the listeners ears, because all of it is very intense and hardcore.

Soon after the first hock, the song goes back to the pre-chorus melody which it was before, when again the girls sing together the final lines of the song, with not much alteration form what you have heard before in this song except that the guttural phrase which was screamed before for the mISTER_b break dance, now is sung by the girls loud and terrifying.

This last break dance is just like the last one, but it is faster due to the drums which by the way are heavily influenced by electro-house elements if not sampled by ElectroDeath past songs. As this break dance ends up, the song goes back to its first introduction melody, where it goes slowing down till only that echo effect last to vanish and ends the song.

Magie Comments

First I have to tell you that meeting mISTER_b was the best thing that happened for us a couple of months ago. Because until that day we had completely no idea of what to do with this album, we were even thinking about hire people to write song for us, because we were so out of inspiration. SoI told Lilly that we needed to find what was going on with the underground scene of dance music around the world. I don’t know man, but people say that sometimes things are written and in this case I can believed on that, because we started out going on clubs in New York and right in the first night we hang out, we found mISTER_b. He was so crazy playing that dubstep, so loud that even if you didn’t want to drink anything on that club you probably would be climbing a table of a chair to dance, because those beats were INSANE!

We had found our producer! And our creative and inspiration was back! This song was meant to be the way it is, wild, aggressive and sometimes annoying, we wanted this, we wanted to come back to where we started, to talk about things that people are not used to talk, things that bother people around the world, religion for example it’s one these things. We always felt sick of people trying to take advantage over others using stupid allegations of some sort of a book or story that say if you do this or that you’ll go to hell. I’m not saying that you can kill or offend someone else, I mean we’re smart people we know that we don’t leave alone and that our freedom ends when someone else’s freedom starts, what I’m trying to say with this song is that it’s not wrong to be someone you like to be, like gay, or witch or whatever you want to do with your life, you’re not going to hell for that, you’re not going to heel just because you fucked before you wedding, or because you smoke cigarettes or because you don’t give your money to a religion institution. Well that just me saying though, you believe in what you want to believe and after all our songs are made for people to have fun and dance. I’m proud of this one!

4. It’s Insanity

Song description

This is another song produced by DJ Cloud and as the first track of the album; this is a high house beat song with elements of minimal techno sounds. It starts with a progressive house melody which goes growing till the girls sing the first lines of the song, and this melody goes growing with the addition of more incorporated riffs of pure electronic sounds, some of them prevenient of computer programming others clearly performed on keyboards.

The powerful chorus starts showing all its strength with minimal techno elements such as the repeating melodies and the fast drums, also theirs are no lyrics in the chorus of the song, just the melody. This makes the song looks a club hit, and you’re allowed to play it very loud, because the beats are so intense in order to make your body move unwittingly.

The beats repeat themselves in the second part of the song, but overall the song is a great tune, DJ Cloud did an amazing job programming those minimal techno sounds. Also there’s his trademark drums which you can recognize by just listening to a song he produced on radio. But this song is not made for radio; it was made to Nightclubs elsewhere.

In other hands we have a contrast in the song’s lyrics. Something that ElectroDeath is used to do with their most danceable songs. The lyrics are a critic to media’s method of manipulating stories just to sell magazines and newspaper. ElectroDeath has suffered a lot of media speculations last year due to Julia’s departure, everyday was a new story was written, and some of them were crazy enough to even confound the girls themselves.

Magie comments

This one is my favorite produced by DJ Cloud. I don’t know how he made it, but he find out this techno sounds that we could use on house songs, and it did very well. There’s a big plan to send this song instantly to night club songs. He programmed the sound and did this keyboard mood that just raised the song in a new level.

I always loved electro techno songs, they come from that European movement of underground electronic scene and they’re so hardcore and danceable, I feel so proud that we and DJ Cloud could do something in that way.

The lyrics were a combination of lines that Lilly and I wrote and also some written by him, it’s a regular subject that both of us had suffered last year with media speculation on some of the most variable stories told about ourselves. We’re not saying that they only talk evil things about us, but they could search the truth than just saying what they want to say, I got myself under strange moments with people I know just because they read things about me that weren’t true in somewhere. But anyway, I love this song.

Song Description

This is a massive dance anthem song in the album, it’s the highlight of the entire album. It took production from mISTER_b and he was in a very good mood when he programmed the beats for this track. Here we got everything that a DJ can add to his song, we have house beats, a lot of dubstep , industrial sounds plus a dance pop drum sequence, making the song commercial but original at the same time.

It starts with a dance pop drums sequence plus a vocal effect on Magie’s that goes growing as till we can listen the song first lines. After second singing the song first verse, the song enters in a bridge melody made of house beats and dubstep drums, this culminates on the song’s chorus.

The song chorus is composed in two different keys, one is heavily and almost pure dubstep with frenetic drums and strong bass, the second key is made of keyboards riffs as high as the girls vocals, there’s also house beats and dance pop drums.
The second verse of the song is just like when it started seconds ago, but it’s shorter then before, and also the dubstep bridge is different from the first one, this second is more hardcore and intense letting the opportunity to mISTER_b shine and he does very well. After the intense dubstep break melody the song enters in a hook moment when it is almost slow down for a moment, but it just last the second before the regular chorus of the song comes back.

The song goes reaching the end as the final verse is sung and the first melodies played are back, but there are some variation on its sounds due to effects added to the song such as a house programmed sound and industrial effects. The song ends with a rap verse performed by himself, on the background of his verses there’s some sounds of wars, showing exactly the meaning of the song’s lyrics.

The main theme of the song is freedom of speech, the verses are sung fast in a rap tune, also the lyrics talks about how television and advertisements can control human’s opinions and behaviors.

Songs like this, makes me want to go on tour and dance with our fans. This song is just so epic and strong and intense, I don’t know, mISTER_b was so fantastic by creating sounds like this one, we loved to work with him. It was one of the best experiences ever for us!

This song is so original and different from what we’re usually to hear on electronic scene nowadays, and this makes her a unique hit. I just love the dubstep on it and the drums are so danceable, I’m sure everyone will get wild on the dance floor as soon as they start to listen this song. The lyrics are very intense too, it shows how we handle several rules and censorships just for a common sense or even because someone stronger and more powerful than us are telling us to do. I’m not against social rules, I just feel like there’re lot of people around the world that prefer not to show their thoughts and idea and opinions, because they prefer to be quite rather than go fighting for a change.

mISTER_b did a rap on this song and we’re telling him that he should sing on his song too, he has some crazy ideas about lyrics.

Sounds Like

ElectroDeath made a performance at House of Blues, Las Vegas last Friday and MTV filmed the pocket show and even interviewed the band while they were preparing themselves to perform. This special is part of the announcement of the band’s upcoming world tour ‘The World Domination’.

Footage of atomic bombs blowing up in the desert, red alert sins and an marching army are showed in the led screen panel at the back of the stage. This short video introduces the concert as ‘The World Domination’. The stage is very simple, there’s only the led screen on the back of it, also there’s two tables with ElectroDeath’s official DJ duo called ‘ElectroLightz’, responsible to accompany the band on tour. The first song has a siren inspired introduction, following the video presentation, it turns out to become a song of the girls new album ‘Began’. Moments after the introduction of the song, Magie and Lilly enter the stage holding microphones and waving to the crowd with the other hand, the same time they start to sing the first lines of the song.



Magie is wearing a beige sexy short dress which shows her legs, Lilly is wearing another sexy short dress, but her dress is red and tighter than Magie’s one. The girls are very sympathetic the whole performance, while they perform the song they keep going to the edge of the stage to touch the fans hands, and so they keep smiling at them and waving and blowing kisses to them. The high energy of the song’s beats and the crazy inviting lyrics of it, puts everyone in the place to dance, but there’s not dance routine for this song, the girls only jump, not that much high because of their high shoes, and also they shake their hips just to make the crowd scream even louder than they were screaming. The picket show is sold out, there’s no space in the crowd, the fans almost can’t move, but they seem to be having a really good time.



The Scene changes to a interview MTV did with the girls when they were at the Palms Cassino Hotel waiting for the performance at the night. The girls are wearing simple clothes, very different from usually they wear when they’re at the stage. First I said hello to them and we got ready to make the interview.

MTV: What’s the best part of going on tour?

Magie: The crowd! Just the opportunity to see people connecting with your emotions through your music, is the best experience anyone can have. It’s just very gratification to feel the crowd energy and everyone screaming for you, and cheering for you and having fun, that’s the highlight man.

Lilly: Magie said everything, we wait till we can going on tour, I only think we release albums because of the tour. You know you’ll need new material to hit the road, so our main goal when we’re producing an album is the touring.

MTV: You girls have done amazing concerts throughout out your career, your last tour, was one of the largest tours of 2011, what do you plan to surpass it?



Magie: WICCA tour was part of the last album we had, so it was a concept based on songs we had written for that album, now we’re totally focused on a new sound and a new concept, so this tour will be completely different of the last one we made. And most of all, it’s our first tour without Julia,, which will be a huge change for us. We’ve been doing this for like 12 years now and we have been doing this together as a trio, so everything in this new era is different for me and Lilly. It’s a whole new level of experiences.

MTV: Do you think, people will attend the tour even knowing Julia won’t be there?

Magie: I really can say that, it’s hard because I know that we have fans that like our song mainly, but also there’re fans that like us a person, so we have Magie Lena’s fans and Lilly Stuart’s fans and also Julia Volkova’s fans, so maybe her fans won’t be there supporting us, but in fact I really don’t know what will happen.

MTV: How do you choose the set list of the tour?
Magie: We try to balance old songs with new songs. But the concert is about the new album concept, which is sweet but bitter songs and we also took our first single’s video as a visual to this new tour, so most of the songs are from this new album, but also we cannot forget the hits, we try to make them sound new for us and for the fans, so we remix them and also we make mash ups.



Lilly: This time we heard our fans too, songs that they wanted to see us perform, lots of them twitter us about it, it was very cool, they helped us a lot.

The show continues with ‘Uncontrollably’, the up-tempo high energy beats of this song keeps up the mood of the last performance, Magie and Lilly seem to be having a blast with this song, in case you forgot this was the second single from ElectroDeath’s hit album ‘The Sun Will Rise’ originally wrote by Julia Volkova. This performance is also simple like the first one was, here the girls perform a free style dance routine, with most of the steps taken from night clubbers, the crowd enjoys so much this song and also the light effects of this performance which is based on multi-color lights making the whole stage look like an amusement park. The vide at the led screen on the back of the stage, consist of footages of the song’s music video plus psychedelic visual effects.

By the end of the last chorus of the song, glitter, paper and balloons are thrown over the girls and the audience, seconds after it the stage gets totally dark.

MTV: Tell us about the new album, what impressions do you want your fans to get from it?

Magie: That life is not always sweet as a candy, it can be bitter sometimes, we try to balance that on the album, you’ll listen to ‘Began’ and you’ll feel happy and liberated but then you have ‘Don’t give a Fuck’ which will tell you to act safe and to not expose yourself to much.

Lilly: While we was working on this album, we were experiencing different electronic styles and sounds, so melodically the whole album is this mixture of house beats and dub step, which are very different from each other. So you’ll get to hear cool and fresh sounds, but the hardcore urban ones are still there too.

MTV: You girls worked with mISTER_b and DJ Cloud as producers for this album, how was working with them?

Magie: DJ Cloud at the time was a kind person, he worked with us basically on the house beats of the songs, he’s a very ambitious person, I have to confess that it was a surprise for me, when we first met him, he was with Cinzia and I have to say he was a different person, but that is another story I’m gonna get into, I just can say that he’s very professional and focused when he’s working. mISTER_b is a fantastic shy guys! He’s incredible, visionary and we’re so glad that he accepted our invitation to work with us and somehow we were responsible for his mainstream debut.

MTV: Can you guys tell us what will be your next single? Because only two singles were released from ‘Bittersweet’ so far, and you announced that you already filmed a video for this upcoming single.

Magie: I think now we can, it will be the song ‘Lies’. We performed it at Field Trip and Total Annihilation, and the audience was very receptive to the song. It’s was hard for us to decide what song should be the next single, but our managers and fans were telling us that it’s a very cinematographic song, so we did this video with a very special friend of us.

The dubstep beats starts introducing ‘Lies’, a song from ‘Bittersweet’ supposed to be the third single of the album. The girls enter the stage followed by three male dancers, and they’re not holding their microphone anymore, now they’re with earphone so they can move and dance the song’s routine. The whole performance is based on the dance steps of the song, which are a mix of street dance and ballet with several interactions among the dancers and the girls, it’s like a simulation of a dramatic relationship breakup. Lights are green and the video showed at the led panel is about guns and bullets and blood.

At the end of the performance, the girls kill the three dancers by throwing them into holes that were opened on the stage, and right after it the next song starts.

‘Holy Annihilation’ is another dance step routine performance, this time three military dressed female dancers enter the stage to join Lilly and Magie, and they also are bringing military jacket to the girls, so they wear it as part of the performance. The dance steps of this performance are bit more elaborated and complex then ‘Lies’, the female dancers got to perform some acrobatics steps but Lilly and Magie did not perform the complex movements, maybe because they have to sing the song. The visual of the stage in this song consists of the official music video of the song displayed in the screen and the purple lights over the girls and their dancers.

MTV: How do you girls choose the themes of the videos from your songs?

Magie: I don’t know, we kind of visualize everything when we’re writing the song. I’m always thinking about what crazy stuff we can do to feed our fans with good visual stuffs from us. I have to admit that once we took this visual side to our song, we cannot run from that anymore!

Lilly: It happened with ‘Don’t Give A Fuck’, we released a simple video for it, but people was asking us if we would make a real music video for the song like we did with Holy Annihilation, so we had to film a new video. But it went becoming one of our best videos ever!

MTV: Will we see some crazy stuffs at the ‘Wolrd Domination Tour’?

Magie: Of course, I mean we’re thinking about bringing zombies to the stage, and using some 3D effects like we did on ‘WICCA’, but this will be a very long tour, we have so far like 80 dates to be announced and our managers are really pushing us to make at least 100 dates, so we have to keep people interested on it. We have to make surprised for them every new song.

Time to perform ‘Don’t Give a Fuck’ and guess who’s back from the dead? The boys the girls killed when they were performing ‘Lies’, they’re back as zombies, and at first they come scary the audience but soon the girls enter the stage to perform the song, and in a very Michal Jackson inspired dance routine, they add a very different meaning to the song itself.

There’s the ‘zombified’ music video playing in the led screen and the lights are red, the girls are still wearing their earphones due to the focus on the dancing, but the choreography is not that hard, even in parts the whole crowd can get their hands up and follow Magie and Lilly’s lead to a certain move in the choreography. It all looks very interesting to watch.

MTV: When you look back to when you girls first appeared and you look to now, do you feel satisfied to what you accomplished?

Magie: Yes, I don’t regret anything, even the breakdown I had, it was only for me to become stronger. I loved the way we started and the way we choose to follow to become famous. Sometimes it’s hard to think about the past, because there’re lots of things I miss so much, thing that won’t never comeback! But I’m so glad at the same time that Lille and I and even Julia, we’re still doing our thing, we’re still here, we still have our families and friends, that makes everything worth!

Lilly: I love our story, it’s beautiful just the way it is, everything we did, every person we met, I remember the first we were in an award show and we got to know really famous people, it was the best experience ever! I’ll never regret what we did, and I’d do everything again.

MTV: To finish our interview, how are your hearts girls?

Magie: LOL, mine is fine, quiet, it belongs to this tour, to my fans to my family… I’m single now, but I’m fine.

Lilly: it belongs to my husband of course! We’re now two years married, I’m so happy for that!

MTV: Thank you so much for doing this, I love your music, and I have to confess I loved you last video! Keep doing it girls!

The final performance of the night, is the smash hit ‘When Your Heart’s Not Open’, the girls are alone again in the stage, there’s no dancers with them for this last performance and they’re again holding they microphones at hands, it’s a light performance compared to the hardcore dance performances of this concert. The girls only stand in the stage while footage of peaceful places are showed in the led screen and blue dim lights illuminate them. The crowd went insane after noticing what song it was, there’s some modern dance steps the girls perform, the ones from the original choreography of the song the girls were used to perform at the WICCA Tour.

In the final strophe and chorus of the performance, fake snow falls down at the stage, making the whole performance look like a winter night. To finish the song the girls left the stage among a gross fog that was used to cover the whole ground and back of the stage, so it looks like they disappear, and the song kept playing till it fades and it starts to roll the credits.
