After completing her performance for the night, Aubrey walked backstage heading in the direction of her dressing room when she stopped dead in her tracks. Across the room, she could see the woman that annoyed her so much each time she interviewed her. Noticing the woman had yet to see her, she thought up a plan of how she could get by her without being spotted. As she was thinking, a few stage crew guys walked pass her carrying a long banner in the direction she needed to go. Aubrey quickly ran over, walking beside them and peaking time and time to see if the woman had not noticed. Just as she was almost down the hallway, where her dressing room was, the two guys turned around, after being called over by someone, completely leaving her there to be exposed. She tried to dodge around the corner but it was too late, all the commotion had turned the head of the woman. Seeing Aubrey, she called after her from where she had been standing. "Yoo hoo, Aubrey!" she said in a high pitched voice. Aubrey mumbled a "damn it!" causing a few heads to turn her way. She turned around just as the woman was walking up to her. "What do you want?" The woman chuckled hysterically as she playfully patted Aubrey on the arm. "Oh Aubrey, you are quite a riot. I love that feisty attitude of yours. Not liking that she was being touched, Aubrey removed the woman's hand from her arm. "Bye." She turned to walk away, causing the woman to stop laughing and call after her. "No no wait. Its my turn to interview you. I'll make this quick since I know you are a busy woman." Aubrey sighed and turned around to face the woman yet again. Seeing that she came back, the woman smiled and began her interview. "All of the judges had nice things to say about you tonight, including Hayden. Were you pleased with their comments and how do you feel you did with your performance as well? She held the microphone out to her and this time Aubrey managed to stop grab it from her, as she just wanted to hurry and get this over with. Plus her performance she had just did made her tired, not to mention she hadn't gotten any sleep the previous night. Seeing the camera guy focus his camera on her, she flipped her hair as she spoke.
Quote:Aubrey: I would say that I am very pleased with their positive comments because I know I did an amazing job. My performance tonight was probably one of my top performances, though I love them all. Things couldn't have gone any better if I did it with my eyes close. My band and back up singers did an exceptional job as well and for once I'm proud of them. They have all finally lived up to my standards as performers. If I had to do this all again,I wouldn't change a thing. I certainly worked up a good sweat and I'm tired so to me that just means that I put on an excellent show. Tonight I will be taking out my crew for a celebration because they've proven themselves worthy of being along side me. The woman grins and holds the mic back up to her lips to speak. "Ah well have a great time tonight. You certainly deserve it. Thank you Aubrey for another great interview. I wish you the best as you prepare for next week's show." Aubrey forces a smile before nodding and walking away. Now back in her dressing room, she slumps down onto her sofa, putting her hand over her forehead and eyes, in an attempt to relax. Her relaxation is interrupted however, when someone comes knocking out the door. Frustrated with all the interruptions, she yells for them to go away. As the knocking stops, she is pleased that they have left but the feeling goes away when she hears knocking once more. Getting angry, Aubrey gets up and walks over to the door to open it. "What!" she says loudly. A nervous, apologetic woman with a surprised look on her face, stands before Aubrey. "Sorry Miss Mikkel for disturbing you. I-I just came to bring you the bottled tea you wanted after your show." The girl, who was looking down at her feet, held up the bottle of tea to Aubrey. "Okay." said Aubrey. She grabbed the tea before going to close the door but stopped when she heard the girl speak again. "Oh wait! I've also came to tell you that your limo is all ready to go." Aubrey untwisted the cap on the bottle and held it up before taking a little sip. ”Good. I'll be ready to go soon.” The girl nodded and walked away as Aubrey closed the door all the way this time. She drink the tea as she begin gathering her things to get ready to leave. A few moments later, when Aubrey was all ready to go, a knock was heard at the door again. Grabbing her things, she went over to open it to see her assistant standing in front of her. ”Right on time. Carry these.” Aubrey handed her things over to her assistant as she walked pass her out the door. Taking the last sip of tea as she walked to the car, she tossed the bottle onto the ground, not caring that she was littering. As she approached the limo, the driver opened the door and Aubrey got inside. Her assistant handed the bags over to him to put in the trunk before she peaked her head in to speak to Aubrey. ”Remember Aubrey, you have a early start tomorrow. Your mentor wants to meet right away with you and right after that you have a photo shoot. Please don't stay out too late tonight and absolutely do not be late this time.” Aubrey, who was filing her nails now, looked up. ”Not promising a thing. Now close the door.” Her assistant sighed then closed the door as she didn't want to argue today since it never did any good. Trying to get Aubrey to do something is just like telling a wall to move, it's just not happening. When the driver finished putting the bags away in the trunk, he came back around to the driver's side, getting in and then driving off. He headed towards the direction of Aubrey's place, as he knew she always liked to freshen up before going out on the town. Once they arrived at her condo, the driver got out and walked around the car to Aubrey's side to let her out. After she stepped out, he closed the door and went to the trunk to grab her things. Aubrey walked up to her place with the driver following a few steps behind her, getting her keys out to open the door then stepping inside. Her driver set her bags down on a table, as he knew better than to set them down on the floor, before turning to face her. “I'll be waiting out in the car madam.” Aubrey nodded and shooed him off as she gathered her things to go freshen up. An hour later, she was all set to go and made her way out to her limo. The driver, who was leaning up against the car half asleep, straightened up as he heard footsteps approaching. He opened the door and Aubrey got inside before he closed it again. It went over to his side and got in, starting up the car and heading towards the nightclub where Aubrey would be meeting her crew for a night of celebration. He pulled up in front of the entrance awhile later, getting out to let Aubrey out of the car. She pulled her dress down at the bottom, smoothing it out when she stepped out. ”It'll be a late night so go home and get some rest. I will call you a little bit before I am to go home.” She walked off and he yelled a “Yes madam” after her. Aubrey made her way into the club without having to address the bouncers as they already knew who she was. The sound of music, flashing lights, and people dancing, suddenly put Aubrey in a good mood. As she continued to look around the club, she finally noticed her crew towards a section off by themselves. With smiles on their faces, they seemed to be having a great time with one another. Aubrey went over, preparing herself for what would be a long night ahead of her. Aubrey paced herself back and forth throughout her dressing room, practicing her scales, shaping her mouth to the different sounds. ”ooh, ee, a, aah.” As she continued to practice, her make up stylist stood in front of the door frame, managing a few knocks on the door to let her know she was there. She turned around, nodding to her to come in before sitting down in the chair. She finished up the vocal exercise and remained still while her make up was being done. Her assistant walked in a minute later to tell her the time. ”Ten minutes until you're on Aubrey.” Aubrey yawned, as she was tired from all the events she had to do this week up until now, before letting out an “Okay.” She nodded before proceeding out the door, letting Aubrey have her peace. After awhile, her make up was finished and she got up, checking how it looked and then setting out towards the waiting area. By now, she was getting sick of this routine and therefore decided to do things her way. She looked around for the woman that usually interviewed her, spotting her, she went over. ”I'm ready so lets get this over with.” The woman chuckled a bit. ”As you wish. This week all contestants were asked to cover a Stephanie Fierce song. Which song did you manage to choose and why? Also are you at all nervous about tonight as Stephanie Fierce will be one of the judges judging your performance tonight?” She held the microphone out to her as she begin to speak. Quote:Aubrey: The song I have chosen is none other than, “Hunter (Bring On The Acid Rain).” I've chose it because it has a soul, tribal and rock feel to it and I wanted to show that I am not just a R&B girl but that I can do other genres as well. To me, this song really works well for me because its very sassy and fierce, just as both Stephanie and I are. As far as the being nervous part goes, I certainly won't be nervous. I love the idea that Stephanie will be here but her presence doesn't bother me. I will still put on a great show just as I always do and she will enjoy it because a woman of her talents respects and recognizes true talent. I always aim to prove and this week will be no different. The woman smiles before speaking. ”Thank you for your time. (She looks at the camera) Catch Aubrey's performance next as she is just moments away from going on.” She continues to smile until the camera guy yells “cut” and then she turns to Aubrey. “Good luck out there.” Aubrey smiles slightly before walking off to the lift that she would be making her entrance onto the stage. As her name was being announced, the lights dim down around the building and lights are flashing nonstop. The lift, that Aubrey is standing on, begins to raise while a picture of Stephanie fierce's single cover to “Hunter (Bring On The Acid Rain) shows up on the big screen that is located on stage behind Aubrey and her band. Once she is up on stage, the lights stop flashing and the stage is lit up to reveal Aubrey on stage with her back against the audience. With her free hand, she holds her hand off to the side, snapping her fingers to the beat of the music in unison with her back up singers, who are located off to the side of her. The music begins and she turns around to sing the song. They call me wild child, I call them prey. Cause the sound my heart makes scares them away Moving mountains, I'm out of my mind Is this the reason why love is so difficult to find As the chorus approaches, Aubrey walks across the stage, pointing to a male fan in the front of the stage. She comes over to stand in front of him, bending down a little to grab his chain, that is located around his neck, pulling it out in her direction while she's dancing and singing the words of the chorus to him. In an attempt to gain her attention as well, other fans nearby, jealous of the attention he's getting, reach for her, grabbing at her legs and hands. Seeing what's happening, she grins and reaches to shake some of their hands before walking away.
I'm a hunter I'm looking for the love I'm a hunter I get curious for the blood I'm a hunter I can smell the blood (x2), I can smell my love
Aubrey walks over to the center of the stage, standing back where she had been standing when she first came out, feet apart. She sings the next verse, getting more into the song then she had before. She wanted to make sure that she owned the song, not for the judges but for her. Even though the song was not that of her own, she always made sure to do any song she sung justice out of respect for whom it belonged to.
Somewhere in this jungle my prey awaits better hurry, a storm heads my way But nothing stops me, not even acid rain
Cause, I'm a hunter I'm looking for the love I'm a hunter The end of my sphere is filled with blood I'm a hunter I can smell the blood (x2), I can smell my..
While Aubrey sings the last parts of the song, she took a sneak peak over at the judges. Trying to read their faces as she did her performance. She was a bit curious to get some sort of clarity as to how they felt about it, especially Stephanie Fierce herself. Though she was not concerned, as she knew she was doing great, she still wanted her to think the same since she was one of the few that she liked as an artist.
haters talk, they pollute the air On the mission so I don't care The search is fierce Baby, the storm is near
So bring on the acid rain I said bring on the acid rain (hey) Bring on the acid rain I said Bring on the acid rain (hey)
[size=4]After Aubrey is done singing, she stands there with her feet apart and her hands outward. The audience begins cheering loudly for her, most of the room standing on their feet, clapping their hands together almost in unison and chanting her name. Aubrey looks on each person's face in the audience as she is pleased with their their respect for real talent. She felt that she had done well and had chosen the right song that was best for us. Now she just had to see what the judges had to say about how well she had done. Once the cheers died down and people begin sitting down in their seats, she relaxes her body before looking over to the judges as they begin deliberating about her performance for this week's challenge. |
