When Serenity first began recording her debut album, 'Teenage Era', this was one of the first tracks recorded for the album. Originally, 'Escape from the Back', was intended to be released as the official lead single off of the album, but due to the large feedback from Serenity's promo single 'Wonderland', she decided to make it as the official lead single off the album. Just as Serenity said in an interview on Culture Uncut that she would be releasing plenty of single before the album drops, she is feeding her fans with more quality music.
Serenity wrote this song from inspirations from one of her past relationships. Yes, there will be songs that you can dance too from her upcoming debut, but she also wanted songs that people can relate too in life and she wanted to share some of her past with her fans.

As the first few seconds of the video is played, there is a black screen saying "A RockHard Production" to "Starring Serenity Scott". Before the song is played, Serenity is seen dancing with a man at a club. In the video, it is taking place in the 1940's in a average sized bar. After another few seconds, the instrumental of the song is heard and the first lines of the first verse is played, followed by the chorus (hook) part of the song.

The video is showing a flashback with her and a guy riding a bicycle. Afterwards, they are both seen on the grass on a red blanket.

As the chorus (hook) part of the song plays again for the last time, Serenity is seen standing on steps outside remembering all the memories she had with a man. She was thinking of all the good times before they had separated.
