 Alex Weker(known as Across The Ocean) is an electronic/indie-pop Musician from Seattle Washington(Now residing in Los Angeles California). Alex is 19 and lives in a three room hi-rise apartment in Lost Angeles California. He began making music when he was 14 years old on his acoustic guitar. He made a name for himself within the local Seattle scene by playing several shows at coffee houses, and open mic nights. When he was 16 years of age he started to branch more into the electronic side of music and has now blended the sounds of indie and electronic to form a brand new very original sound. He moved to LA after he graduated from High School in 2011 and has been making a living working at a Ralph's Grocery Store near his apartment. Alex is ready to drop the store clerk job and make a name for himself in the music industry. He is a very laid back kid and very easy to get along with, with practically no temper at all. His influences range from several different styles including, Queen, The Beatles, modern day Electronic music, and even going as far to drawing influence from The Beach Boys. Alex is hoping to hit the road as soon as possible to help raise money to go into the studio until a label is interested in signing him. He is currently in the writing stage of his debut CD and currently has 2 songs completely written and ready to go. With the hopes of making it big, Alex is willing to do whatever it takes to be able to hit the road and show the world what he is made of!Genre:Electronic/Indie-Pop

I just finished up with the remaining songs I need to record! They are all perfect and just need to be recorded now! Already have 2 songs fully done, hopefully going into the studio next week! I think people are really going to like my music! It's alot different then what people have heard before and I have a feeling its going to grab people's attention :) Next stop after the EP is hopefully opening for a big artist or even a record deal! I guess time will tell! :)

Hey everyone! So I went into the studio and got my EP fully recorded! I'm just waiting for the producer to master the tracks! I think the EP came out so much better than I thought it would! Also I am now able to announce the first single! The first song that I'm releasing is a song called "Late Night All Alone." The song is about pretty much being in love with someone who doesn't feel the same and just trying to find a way to cope with the realization you'll never be with them. Its a pretty sad song lyrically but is the only sad song on the EP. I personally love the track and hop you guys do as well! You can read the lyrics below and listen to it :) The song comes out next Sunday so please be sure to buy it when it does! Holy crap! I just heard the final mixed version of my debut EP! It sounds amazing! I am very surprised but insanely happy with it! I'll be announcing the EP next week with the track listing, album art, release date, and a track by track on the songs :) I can't wait for you guys to hear it!

Everyone! I know I said I was going to announce it next week but I've decided to announce it early! I am happy to announce my debut EP will be titled "America" and will be out on July 2nd 2012! The EP consists of 6 songs that I can't wait for you guys to hear, including my debut single "Late Night All Alone" that comes out tomorrow! I'll be releasing a track by track and a stream of the EP via the Culture Uncut website sometime next week :) Im really excited for you guys to hear it!
