Out of the corner of his eye, Stinson saw Chantal duck her head down too, and he was sure he heard the soft breathing that meant his girlfriend was crying. He was shocked, and he wanted to hug her and tell her that he didn't mind...but his body seemed reluctant to move, almost as if sitting still was the only way it might turn out to have been some sort of dream. He sighed and rubbed his own eyes, and then he heard her talk about Arianna. He shook his head. Why would he even run off with Arianna? He didn't have a clue where she had drawn that notion from, but he still couldn't vocalise his thoughts at all, and he kept shaking his head from side to side.

Suddenly he felt her eyes burning into him, and then he realised what this meant. This was serious now. It really was serious. As much as he did love her, he had never expected anything like this, and he felt scared. He had never meant to get serious with anyone. Not ever. But..was this his time. Was Chantal the one he was going to end up with? He breathed slower and thought it through, over and over. Then she broke his train of thought, as she stood and almost motioned him towards the door. Stinson shook his head a little and then stood up slowly. He started to walk towards the door, unsure what he was going to do.

As he got there though, his mind was made up. He put his hand on the door and closed it slowly. Standing with his hand on the now closed door, his head bowed, he then turned back to Chantal and sighed deeply. "I'm not going. We need to talk about this," he said, his voice far softer than he had ever heard it before.

After closing the door, Stinson turned back to Chantal. He wanted to grab her, throw his arms around her...cry into her shoulder. But he couldn't. Showing her how terrified her was wouldn't help anyone at this time. He followed her back into the room and sat down beside her. He put his hands in his lap and tried to think of something to say, but his mind continued to run blank. He opened his mouth as if to speak and then closed it again, a look of confusion spreading across his face again. He nervously rubbed his hands together.

Stinson stared at her for a while. He looked deep into her eyes as if he was trying to work out what was going on. "Ummmm....Chantal," he started. "Don't get mad or anything babe. But is this really real? Its not....like a test or anything is it?" Part of him hoped it was, but his mind was racing now with what they were going to do. He knew there was no way he was going to walk away from her, but he still felt fully confused.

The very second that Stinson spoke, he knew that what he said was the wrong thing. His own mind told him that. Why would he question her? More to the point though, the look on Chantal's face said it all. Almost as soon as he said it he saw the look on her face. They had argued in the past. They had argued a lot. He knew that, and she knew it too, but he had never seen a look like that before. As she swore at him and shouted, he just bowed his head, accepting every word that she was saying to him. Of course he deserved it. He nodded his head. "I know Chantal. I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I swear I didn't. I'm just scared." He tried to catch her eyeline. "It's just...I'm surprised. I never expected this for...for us. Please. I didn't mean to say that."

Stinson felt his own eyes begin to tear up as he looked at Chantal, almost begging her with his eyes to speak to him again. He couldn't believe how badly he had fucked up, and now he just wanted a chance to make it right again. He loved Chantal. He really did. It hadn't been a run of the mill relationship, but they had worked hard, and they had got to this stage together. Now he just wanted to show her how much she meant to him. He wanted to be happy about it, but it terrified him at that time. "Chantal?" He asked again...

Stinson nodded, keeping his mouth closed to let her yell and get rid of all her frustrations. He knew that this must be very difficult a time for her. He appreciated that. To find out she had a baby growing inside her can't have been easy. Especially not so unexpectedly. After she had shouted for a while he looked down. "I know babe...I know. It was just a shock. I didn't expect us to be having a baby. I didn't even think we had made any mistakes for it to happen...im just...I'm still in shock." He scratched his head as her sarcasm continued. "Yeah. You're right. But please Chantal, let's not be mad at each other. Not now."

He was relieved to see her turn back towards him when she said her name. All of a sudden, it was like he had mustered up some sort of courage from nowhere, and he could only think in that moment about the baby; his and Chantal's baby. No matter how scared he was, that was no reason to not try to make its life all that he and Chantal could. When she lifted her head, he took her hand and moved closer. He stared at her.

"I might be scared babe, and I am...but we made this baby together. And I love you. We can do this. Together." He stared into her eyes, waiting for a response.

Stinson was glad to hear that Chantal wasn't mad. He nodded as she said it and managed a little smile. The last thing they needed at the moment was a fight. They were one of those couples who had a fiery sort of passion that meant they were always having arguments everywhere. Even if they did love each other. Now though, Stinson knew that talking was the only thing they could do to make it right. And it made him feel warm to know Chantal felt the same. It calmed his stomach, took away the feeling that he might be sick.

Stinson took both of Chantal's hands in his and gently squeezed reassuringly. When he had first heard the news, he was certain that it would be the end of them. He didn't know why, but he didn't know if they could handle it. Now though, now he managed to look at her stomach and feel different. He leaned in and kissed her, closing his eyes as he did.

"I promise I'm here for you now Chantal. If you need me to move here...I will. You need anything else,.I got it. I want to do this right. I'm sure you can help me."

He hugs her and laughs. "Cravings already? Am I gonna be a busy man these next few months?" He laughed again before putting his head on her shoulder. As he did, he felt his own tears flowing down his cheeks.

Stinson could scarcely believe how easily this had all come to right itself. He wondered if this is what it was to become mature? Just minutes before he had been considering jumping off something high at the prospect of having a baby. But now he was sat opposite his girlfriend, hand in hand, united by the fact that they were about to take a massive step forward and start their family together. He knew now that everything would be alright. As long as they had each other. He wasn't kidding himself though, he knew it would not be the easiest of tasks, and he appreciated that he was going to have to work hard, as was Chantal, to make sure they could make it work. He smiled though, and he kissed her cheek, as he knew that all they really needed to give it the best shot possible was each other.

He smiled at Chantal as she spoke, still holding her hand. "Of course we can." He stroked her hand softly. "I know we fight babe, but anyone can see we care about each other. If anyone can do this we can." He chuckled a little. "Are you still shocked? I am. I wonder when it happened." He looks off into the distance.


He tilted her head back a little and kissed her softly on the lips. "Hey, I guess I'm done with the bachelor lifestyle. If you want me to move in with you, then I will sell both my houses and move in here full time. For real. Only if you want me to though I don't want you to feel like I'm forcing that on you. I just want to be here for everything. For you. For our baby." The notion hit him hard just then. Their baby. He was almost floored by that single thought, and it scared him, but he knew now that he could at least make a strong go of it with the girl he loved.

Stinson laughed again as he was happy to just listen to her for a while. "Really? What other cravings have you got?" He smiled. "Well, I don't mind being busy. I'll do absolutely anything you need me to." He let her wipe the tear from his eye. "We're good yeah. I just still feel surprised and overwhelmed."

Stinson thought back to how the relationship with Chantal had begun all those months back, when he managed to get a date with her by just making her laugh at the Chaos awards, and he smiled. It had been a while now, and he was pleased at the way they had turned into a very happy couple over the past few months, even if he wasn't the easiest person to get along with at the best of times. "Me put up with you? I think it's the other way babe. I feel blessed that you still still even like me after all these months. I know I can be a bit of a handful. I'm a tad headstrong you know?" He leaned forward and kissed her. He loved when she was showing her softer side like this. He scoffed. "Please Chantal. You'll look gorgeous no matter what. You know I'll still love you. Always."

As he watched her smile, Stinson returned the grin. "Then it's decided then. One family living together right here in London, huh? I agree. I think I'd miss a lot if I wasn't here. It'll be special to be able to be with you the whole time. I think we're gonna prove so many people wrong. And I think we'll enjoy it!"

He chuckled. "It can't be that bad yet babe can it?" He smiled at her. "No matter what though, I'll do my damndest to make sure you are happy and comfortable all the time. No more stress for you. He kissed her, lifting the front of her shirt to put his palm against her stomach. "Wow...our baby." He smiled again.

Hayden arrives to the hotel room and knocks on the door. He's dressed in his black tuxedo for the awards and his black hair was curly as usual. He whistled as he waited, his hands in his pocket.

Hayden laughs and wraps his arms around her, seeing the towel. "Are you naked Coyle? Is this how you greet everyone?" He grins.

Hayden hesitates then looks in the rooom. "Yeah...where's Cassie?" He looks st her then walks inside.
