Behind The Video The Burn Away concept really shows Suzie up close and personal. Sprawled out into different scenes of the entire video, the Swedish pop star fights off what people are saying as about her as they hope that she burns away. Mixed with her heavy confidence, Suzie shows who's boss as she gets ready to release her most sexiest video yet with help from video producer Kendrick Martin. The scene feature Suzie in revealing costumes, most notably her famous "whirl" "outfit" as well as other costumes. The scenes also take a look at what people have been saying about the pop star as she displays these headlines during a part of the video. She literally is getting "burnt" at the end of the video in a very visual heavy ending that would have a watcher really getting conveyed the "burning away" message, Suzie brings with her first single of the album.
The video was filmed in May-June with it's official premiere being today [June 19th]. The video was filmed on different sites in two countries. Most of it being filmed in Sweden , and the rest in the United Kingdom, which explains the lengthy wait for the album. But it all pays off. Enjoy the video! The music video opens up with the camera's fading in point forward as a black sports car starts riding toward the camera's. No music is heard at this moment, all your hear is the powerful engine of this car. When the car stops, A beautiful blonde female steps out of the car. The camera slowly picking up every detail of her exterior. It's Suzie, when she starts walking toward the camera's the opening beats of Suzie's "Burn Away" is heard as he heels start click, clicking the pavement. When Suzie is the closest to the camera, the scene ends with it quickly changing up to a different environment following a helicopter like, rising sound.
__________________________________________________________
Now that the beat has picked up, we are taken to another scene, this time Suzie is dressed in barely anything. She looks directly into the camera as her hair is blowing behind the white background as she brings her overconfident, yet digitally enhanced vocals to the table
Judgers judge
Haters hate
In this fickle world
We make our own fateThe dirty looks and negativity
Have become too common
It’s no surprise to me
She looks directly into the camera as she starts dancing, with heavy choreography that includes flipping her hair and different choreographed movements that are very success.. Not to mention Suzie adorning just a small "whirl" over her chests. After Suzie sings those lines strongly in front of the camera, the song sounds as if it's rising behind Suzie. we were right as the song breaks into a euphoric pop liftoff
The that sounds massively futuristic with lilting synths and digital processing that compliments Suzie's voice vibrantly and makes it sound ultimately..good and at this point when the liftoff finds it way to the video, we are taken to another scene. Suzie is dress in a very revealing corset, fishnet stocks and platform heels as she lays on a huge bed. As shes laying in the bed, she continues singing the chorus of the track behind a futuristic beat
The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away
Singing these words as the beat continues to move relentlessly, she looks as if she's hurt laying on the bed, arching her back and showing sings of pain, symbolically getting across the message that people are out to hurt her. The scenes include her doing odd movements on the bed, showing pain as she moves around throughout the bed. She's trying to "sleep" but the hate that she's getting, the people who wish she would burn away are easily trying to get to her. But there's no way she'll burn away. When she murmurs those words, the camera's actually catch Suzie winking and looking quite evil, there's no chance anyone could get her down.
The chorus then slowly slips away and returns to that aggressive backing beat that was heard at the beginning of the track, as Suzie returns to the next verse of the track. Following the "bed scene" Suzie is then in this scene wearing a different outfit, this time she's seen in a room that is quite uneasy to explain where it might just be. Most likely with the use of the green screen, different tabloid headlines incluing "Suzie revealed as Scott R.H mistresss", "Suzie Causes Twitter War", "Suzie's Hated By Majority" and other hurtful things are displayed behing Suzie as she sings the verse of the song. Aside from looking beautiful, Suzie doesn't exactly dance for this part, but instead lets the headlines displayed on this "bionic wall" do the symbolic talking as she touches herself. Her hair in a bun, red lipstick and wearing a leather black dress, once again showing off her assets, Suzie stands their looking from side to side and into the camera as these different headlines are displayed on the wall behind her. This scene lasts for quite a while, with the different headlines showing up, and the person watching the video may be amused by the different headlines shown. This serves as a standout of the video as it's made obvious that Suzie knows what being said behind her. This eventually breaks into the chorus, with Suzie singing the chorus. The faster the beat, the faster these headlines are slamming onto the wall.
I ain’t going nowhere
No matter what gets said
No matter how much hate comes my way
I ain’t hanging from a thread
Just say what you want
Do what you please
I ain’t going nowhere
You won’t bring me to my knees
The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away
The track then sounds like it rising again with this unorthodoxed beat. The camera's then jump to a different scene. We are taken to an out side like setting, filled with dark clouds, as if a storm is brewing.
The track breaks into a surprising dubstep break down, which may totally take you by surprise as Suzie slips into a heavily choreographed dance routine as the dub-step beat continues to move along. In the scene, you first see Suzie spread her legs in a seat, she then gets up and starts dancing heavily and then there's even a scene where Suzie's backup dancers get involved in the actions during the breakdown where Suzie not only sings out the words, but dances her hardest with attitude, and confidence as the storm starts to get worse and worse.
Burn, burn, burn away
Don’t you realize, I’m here to stay
Burn, burn, burn away
Burn, burn, burn away
Don’t you realize, I’m here to stayAfter saying "stay" and the word being repeated massively with light synths and Suzie's dancers following as she throws her arms up. The dub breakdown fades away as the synths take over, bringing us to the chorus as the tempo is cracked a bit higher as we are taken to the final scene of the video
The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away
(2x)
The storm breaks into an all out fire demolition as Suzie is dressed in dark makeup, with her background completely looking as if it's burning completely making sense to the "Burn Away" concept. Suzie sings the final words of the song as a "snake" is also trying to choke her, but she's showing signs of strength as she holds on her hands on hips as their trying to burn her away, but she's not going anywhere. This very visual scene features the fire burning heavily as the temperature rises. Suzie does some choregrpahy, getting more intense coming closer to the end of the song. The ending comes up with Suzie doing a final pose in the middle of the blaze as the scene ends, and the entire video with it ending off, blowing up. The screen goes black and all you can hearis "I'll Never Burn Away" and the video comes to an end.
Song sounds like
