Erin's Silence is a metalcore band from Memphis, Tennessee. The band was founded in the summer of 2012 after graduating from high school. They had been playing together for the past year but decided that now was their time to take it up a notch. Within a couple of weeks the group had recorded a few rough demos and began playing shows locally and the band is hoping to record their debut EP soon. The band got their name from the tragic story of one of their good friends who had committed suicide during the school year. As for the band's music, they know how to thrash. They combine a unique mix of metalcore without forgetting their southern roots. This leads to a blend of harsh metal riffs, hardcore breakdowns, and a warm feeling of southern hospitality.

Billy: Screaming? Sorry but whenever I hear screaming it just reminds me of spoiled teenage kids screaming about how unfair life is. Doesn't really make good music.....that's just my opinion....

Kevin @Billy and Dustyn: Sorry you don't like the screaming but it's what we do. Sometimes theres just things that singing just doesn't do justice to, so we scream.

Anthony @Billy and Dustyn: Yeah, and we are kind of our own breed. There's always something interesting going on here whether it be pranks, youtube videos, or watching all the Lord of the Rings extended edition movies in a row.

Anthony @Erica and Nina: We've never thrown a toaster at John while he was taking a bath but we have pushed him off a 3 story building before. That was fun, right John.

John: Screw you! I had to get 10 stitches in my arm cuz I fell on a piece of glass and cut it open.

Jeremy: Just be happy you only had to get stitches you creep. Who falls that far and only walks away with a cut!

erich: there is a recording studio in the depths of the duke of winchester. i have it stocked with the finest mid 20th century recording equipment ebay had to offer.

karoliena: no digital recording here,just lots and lots of tape.

erich: the reels are fun to throw at each other as well.

Scott RH: So I just got the chance to listen to this live show you played the other night. I like the songs. Being a big pusher of death metal given that I fronted Blood of Wecz for years, metalcore is never going to be a favourite of mine. But your stuff is actually good. If you are serious about getting yourselves something recorded, make sure to give me a shout. I might be able to help.

Scott RH: Epic! To be honest, the idea of recording a cassette totally appeals to me as well. There's something magic about having to use a pen to wind tape back into a cassette when it fucks up. It makes you feel like you deserve to listen to the music after you've done all the ground work! In all seriousness though, i would be more than happy to help once the awards are done and dusted. We need more metal getting back out there again.
