Ryan Ross Hernandez arrives wearing a stripped, black Armani suit. His publicist leads the way for him in the red carpet, stopping for a few pictures, before moving on to the reporters.

Ryan, how are doing tonight?

Ryan: I'm doing fine, you know. I'm happy to be here.

As you should be, since tonight you have six nominations and your record label is also up for best label. How does it feel to still be recognized after all these years you've been in the industry?

Ryan: Well it's an honor. That the academy of judges or whatever, are still recognizing work that is real and organic. If these were purely based on success, I don't think I'd probably be here because not every singles I put out rockets to number one. I'm an old school in the sense that I'd rather have a great record and a hit song. Ten, twenty, thirty years from now, people won't remember hit songs, they'll remember records that stood the test of time.

An interesting fact, we saw your name on the list of performers tonight. We all know you have condition in your vocal chords that will require surgery later this year, how are you planning to get through this performance tonight?

Ryan: A misinterpretation of having a granuloma is that you can't sing at all, I can still sing somewhat well, but I can't tour. If I were to tour, a week in a half into it, I'd have to cancel it because my voice couldn't withstand that amount of singing. So for tonight, I don't know how my voice is gonna be, I only had one rehearsal with the band and I didn't sing in it. Tonight is gonna be the last time I sing on stage, probably for the rest of this year.

When are you having the surgery to have this thing removed? And also, when do you plan on being able to return on stage as a performer?

Ryan: Around September or October of this year. Adding to that, the time of recovery, until at least this next spring. I do hope to be touring "Break in the Clouds" and another new album, by this time next summer.

And I guess congratulations on in order for your new album, Break in the Clouds, not only being nominated for Best Album tonight, but also for selling a massive 440,00 copies its first week.

Ryan: Yeah, it could have sold a million records, but all along it was going to debut at number 2. That Nadia Berry is just on a roll right now. Every single, every record, everything is going straight to number 1. I can't see anyone stopping her.

Is it odd to have a girlfriend on top of you on the charts?

Ryan: It's kinda of odd, but I'm happy for her. Otherwise anything but charts, no, I don't find it odd at all to have her on top of me.

(chuckles) Something that I've noticed with you two, is that you and Nadia never walk the red carpet together. Why is that?

Ryan: I think it just comes down to us respecting each others work. We come here as a couple and we leave as such, but we are each here representing our music.

What happens if she beats you for Best Album again?

Ryan: I'm gonna be happy for her. That's all I can be, is happy for her, she deserves it just as much as I would deserve to win it.

He flashes the reporter a smirk, before quickly making his way through the rest of the red carpet and into the theatre.

Cassie arrives on the arms of her non-celebrity boyfriend. She goes off alone to pose for a couple of pictures before talking to an interviewer.

Interviewer: Hello Cassie. So good to see you again. You look amazing as always.

Cassie: Hi! Awww thank you so much. Really sweet of you to say.

Interviewer: You're nominated tonight in the Best Urban Act category. How happy are you about that?

Cassie: I'm delighted about it but I'm also very shocked. So maybe talented artists out there and it just blows me away that I've been chosen as a nominee. Lose or win I'll still feel blessed to have been nominated in the first place.

Interviewer: (smiles) You're quite a humble person. Always so modest. Exactly why we all love you so much.

Cassie: (laughs) Thank you. I'm just being myself.

Interviewer: That you are. Just one last question and I'll let you head on inside. Who are you looking forward to perform tonight?

Cassie: Well I heard that there's going to be a special guest performer and I love surprises. So whoever the guest performer is.

Interviewer: I'm wanting to know who it is too but good luck to you tonight. Hope you take home that award and have lots of fun.

Cassie: (smiles) Thank you. I definitely will be having fun tonight.

She walks away with her date, heading inside to their seats.



Nate arrives with his sister, Gia. He goes off to take a couple of pictures before heading inside in search of his girlfriend, Martina.



Nevaeh arrives onto the red carpet along side her husband, Kenyon. They pose together for a couple of pictures before talking to an interviewer.

Interviewer: Well don't you two just look so lovely together. Where's Avery?

Nevaeh: Oh he's at home with his nanny probably getting into some type of trouble. (laughs)

Interviewer: Ah I see. So Nevaeh you have four artists from Tric-Jam up for nominations tonight. How confident are you about their chances?

Nevaeh: I'm as confident as you can be. Shantel, Dominic, Issac, and Kato are so talented. They've each put a lot of work into their individual projects that I wasn't surprised when they were all nominees. Each of them deserve it.

Interviewer: Your co-owner, Lady Raine is up for Best Newcomer. Do you think she has a good chance of winning?

Nevaeh: Absolutely sweetie and I'm not just saying that because she and I are best friends. She has a beautiful voice and I predict great things for her in the future.

Interviewer: That she does. Last but not least, Tric-Jam Records is up for Best Label. What's your take on that?

Nevaeh: (smiles) I'm delighted to have the label be recognized. I think we deserve it but I won't lie, it's going to be a close one. I guess everyone will have to see what happens.

Interviewer: Yes we will. Thank you both for your time and good luck.

Nevaeh and Kenyon say thank you in unison then walk away to head inside to their seats.

Dominic arrives with a few people from his entourage. He goes off to the side posing for a couple of pictures before he's stop by an interviewer.

Interviewer: Dominic, hey! You look handsome as ever. Who are you here with tonight?

Dominic: (laughs) Preciate dat. I'm here with my entourage.

Interviewer: How nice. (smiles) You're up for two nominations tonight; Best Male Solo Artist and Best Urban Act. Do you feel you'll win both?

Dominic: Hell yeah! Nah I'm just playin. If I just took home one of the awards than dat would be fine with me. If by some chance I didn't win either then its still cool. I never lose faith in myself and I kno dat I'm da best. So it all doesn't matter. Only thing that matters iz my music and my fans.

Interviewer: Well said. Is there anyone that you want to see perform tonight?

Dominic: Um... my girl Izzy. She always blows up da stage so I'm sure she'll do it again tonight.

Interviewer: Yes, always a pleasure to see her perform. Well I'll let you be on your way. Party hard tonight for us Dominic.

Dominic: (smiles) I always do.

He walks away heading inside the building with his entourage following behind him.
