I think I already made a thread about them earlier in the year, but whatever. Does anyone like them as much as I do? They make probably the most epic music I've ever heard. Leave opinions on them here. |

I don't know, doesn't sound epic to me so much as... well... to put it kindly, they seem derivative of other bands I like more. Adding high-pitched vocals does not make something epic. I'm not falling for them because I've already heard The Mars Volta. |

I enjoy bits from every album, but likewise also dislike bits from them too. |

They're more of Dark Side epic. Gildermershina wrote:Adding high-pitched vocals does not make something epic. It has nothing to do with high-pitched vocals. It's the song structure that makes it epic. For example, if you listen to In Keeping Secrets, Welcome Home, Time Consumer, No World for Tomorrow, the last minute and a half of The Crowing and Three Evils, and The Light and the Glass, the songs are way epic in the way they're put together and sang. There are certain parts that just either give you chills down your spine... or just make you wanna have an epic swordfight in the middle of a grassland. Edited by user 08 July 2009 12:50:31(UTC)
