LOVE IS LUST // LIVE Stephanie Fierce: Dear Mr. Nicolas Brown, I had written this song for you..... As the lights simmer down, holding a guitar in which she slowly plays Steph is seen atop a piano resting calmly as everyone in the audience begins to get emotional to the simplistic soulful down-tempo R&B power ballad that is "Love is Lust". Taking a deep breath, she begins singing the lyrics of "Lust" full force cutting through the thin air that had ruled the room. She is accompanied by a woman who is playing the on-going piano in which Fierce is a top of. The piano sounds more organic live, therefore, the pace of the song is a bit slower that usual. A bassist and second guitarist are also heard playing, backing her up meanwhile wind chimes, strings, synthesizers, a funk-influenced bass and piano are heard present throughout the performance giving it more definition and living up to the CD version. Stephanie Fierce builds up the first part of the song with intense discordant chords that are similar on the original track, her vocals are present to the microphone despite the multitasking of her singing and playing guitar. Matter of fact, a lot of emotion is being put into the vocals, that Steph seems to stumble on some of the lyrics but in such a way that still sounds genuine and beautiful. Steph also sings the second and third verse with deep emotion altering her head from side to side. Her vocals are heard as warm, mellow and melancholic in the beginning and as well as choruses. Staring deeply into the camera while singing, Steph prepares herself for her guitar solo which serves as the bridge of the song and next thing you know the crowd is presented with a more skilled guitarist that is now Stephanie Fierce. Once again her electric guitar solo sounds a bit more organic than the CD version and while being a bit off, she manages to complete it with a respectful taste. Cutting the performance short as the second part and the third part couldn't be presented in the acoustic sound Steph was looking for, Steph finishes the song with a adlib section where a drummer joins her and she begins to mumble as if she was speaking in tongues, giving the performance a cathedral sort of setting. Once finishing, Stephanie can't help but smile directly to some of the screaming fans in the audience who were overdosed in amazement.

They say love is blind, but like a bullet I can see right through your chest" Stpeh begins singing the song as the more upbeat piano that's partnered with a stronger attitude in its lyrical and vocal deliverance in comparison to the first track. The song which is also driven by an engineered beat is backed with a noise that sounds like a choir group, which can be classified as a "Wall of Sound"; a stategy used to produced an unique orchestra sound . Lyrically, "Sent A Bullet" talks about the idea of breaking someone's heart before that person breaks yours; as Steph fiercely sings "I didn't let you break my heart, cause it rose just like a phoenix" the idea and concept of "Love is Lust" grows stronger lyrically. While it's lyrical content may serve you well, it is the chorus part in which Stephanie Fierce shows off her gutsy pipes that makes the song a favorite. Somewhat similar to "Back to Fierce", you hear Stephanie with a more raspy approach to her voice, especially when she sings "But I sent a bullet to the air, watch it burn as it hit your chest". Steph manages to combine a combination of vocal styles, both high pitch low pitch note reflexes in the matter of seconds; that of only a skilled vocalist. Toward the end of the performance, Stephanie Fierce begins to really belt out the lyrics in which she painfully sings through her crying. Once coming to a finish, she becomes more lively as she transitions to the next performance.

Stephanie Fierce wanted this song to be more of a listening song, hence the overall two minutes out of the 4 of just instrumental playing. Stephanie Fierce sings the fast-sung but understandable lyrics, while she's joined by the stop and go guitars played by her backing guitarist, distorted clavichords are also heard to compliment the song. But while the lyrics are quite short, it gets straight to the point in a collective kind of way and that's what she wanted with this song. 'Lube' talks about the feeling of prime time or in sexual terms the feeling of wanting to reach an orgasm. This song works. Because not only is it song about anal sex.....it's also double meaning in the sense of breaking free from something so intense. Something that might be out of reach.. It could be anything really. But she specifically wanted it to be about sex.

I actually was able to play guitar correctly for the first time in front of a big group of people. Everyone begins to cheer and Steph begins "Dying in the Airwaves". Immediately at the start, Steph bends her knees down to the ground to sing and play, all while on the floor. The song elctronica based composition is given more of kick, to give the song more edge. She begins playing the melodramatic electric guitar bit with her bassist and second guitarist once again backing her up. First building up with intense discordant chords, her vocals are continue to grow emotional. Steph sings the first verse with deep emotion squinting her eyebrows. Her vocals are heard as warm, mellow and melancholic in the beginning and as well as choruses. Also while singing, the rest of the band focuses on creating the ambient sound founded in the fierce atmosphere with the special pedals and as well by using other specially made instruments. Steph lifts her fingers in motion and stares deeply into the camera while singing.
Once the chorus reaches, Steph sings with all her might and suddenly everything stops. Steph looks up and beings the second verse, which features hard sung/screamo like vocals. The purpose was to sing with emotion despite it sounding like she's holding back vocally. You can hear her 'fear' and presence for once. Her vocals are not about confidence, or ego-like vocals, but within all-that there, confidence somehow makes its way.
After finishing the verse, Steph proceeds to a guitar solo that acts like the chorus, and leading up to that is the chorus repeat. Finishing up, she does the outro and once finished she drops her guitar to the ground. Mouthing "Free".
