Besides that, what Dan said is true. People generally ignore anything an actor does when they have some big name turds. But that doesn't mean a movie won't be good or isn't good or that they didn't have a few good movies in the time frame since their last big hit.
Personally, I freaking loved the movie Click and Funny People. |

To be honest, I don't mind Adam Sandler. He's still quite funny, and although it's cheap humour, it still makes me laugh at times. Funny People however...unless the title was supposed to be ironic, then I was lost. Seriously bad film. |

Personally, I freaking loved the movie Click and Funny People. No, good actors can come back from bad movies. However Adam Sandler has done so many terrible films by this point in time that he no longer gets the benefit of the doubt. And I don't think you'd really confuse him with a good actor for that matter. His last movie worth seeing was Punch-Drunk Love, which inevitably made 1/6th of what the abominable Jack and Jill made. LOOK, ADAM SANDLER! ANOTHER ADAM SANDLER BUT THIS ONE IS IN DRAG! SHE'S HIS OBNOXIOUS SYSTEM HUR HUR HUR Fuck Adam Sandler, he'll doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt, until one his movies gets actual positive reviews from a majority of critics his shit will be mocked. |

I saw the movie "That's My Boy" and I thought he did a wonderful job in it. Aside from the excessive cursing I thought the movie was good. He seemed comfortable with his character as well and I think he was leaning more to his roots with it. It's a comedy and while he may be washed up actor, he did a great job playing his character and I laughed that's what matters.
I'm not saying people don't have the right to call him a bad actor, I'm saying that people should actually watch the film before they criticize it and him. Like anything..........

I thought Funny People was great. Adam Sandler tried to step out of his genre and I really liked how the film didn't have a subplot, rather two main ones with Seth Rogen's character and Adam Sandler's.
Actually, I'd go as far as to say Funny People might be my favorite Sandler film. |

Sure, & what your saying makes perfect sense, you shouldn't criticise something without seeing it. But with that caveat, it's the old thing that I ain't gonna spend my money on an Adam Sandler movie in 2012 to find out if the leopard has finally changed his spots. |

Man, I had this whole RP post pretty much ready to go, but for one bit of artwork, and now my main computer has crapped out on me, I can't finish it. Fantastic. It was a Wooddoom EP and a collab album by Polyps and Uethröt. Quote:Polypsuethröt - Polypsuethröt
1. Polypticon (17:14) 2. Garden of Ogre’s Teeth (21:50) 3. An Assemblage of Bog Oak (13:32) 4. Uethröpticon (14:29) And I was totally going to do a remix & re-interpretations version of that same album (an Isis reference). Quote:Polypsuethröt - re:pu:sessions
1. Geosynchronous Ire (Sort of Like Iron)/Bog Oak Golem [Avuncular Orbital Ape] 2. Pangolinicon [Pangolin] 3. Wolf Pulls Out the Throat of a Polar Night [Alejandro Mesa] 4. Saskatchicon [Lung!] 5. The Cumbersome Masonry of Ogres [Black Iris] 6. Precariously Suspended Bog Oak [The Only Significant Eyeball] Oh well, some day... Some day... Edited by user 20 June 2012 22:01:04(UTC)

Well, just over 10 days left and I leave the country for a while. Maybe a year. To go on a bit of a trip around North America, and then go live in Canada where I don't really know anyone or have any safety net in place. Not sure when I will get there, where I will live, or what jobs, if any, I will be able to find. But I will live in a hostel, and I will work as a toilet cleaner if I have to (though I'm told that I lack the necessary experience). It's exciting times ahead. Scotland's been okay, and I will leave behind some good friends, but I have pretty much nothing going on here in Scotland that's worth keeping.
Guess I have Caroline to think for kicking me in the arse to actually put my money where my mouth is - that and the fact that being here after she went home to New Zealand left me in a pretty unpleasant depression I'm ashamed to say. So I figure, Canada's closer to New Zealand without actually being New Zealand (and therefore stalking). Nah, just kidding. Seriously though. This shit is why I've spent five years trying not to get emotionally involved in other people.
Not that I'm around here much, but hey, they've got the internet in Canada I hear (I think they installed it a couple of weeks ago) so it's not like I'm vanishing off the face of the planet. Just off the face of the United Kingdom. |

Been in sunny bulgaria for the past 10 days, loving it! The folk out here really know how to put on a party. Just last night we were part of an organised pub crawl along with over 400 others! Final 4 days before returning early hours tuesday morning, been some of the best times of my life out here. |

I'm in the north of England right now and the temperature is 13C...and this is allegedly the height of summer lol. |
