Blurb Magazine will have a countdown of the best singles and albums so far this year. It will start with a submission in this thread, with a spoiler to the description, and/or lyrics to that work. There is no minimum to how many works you can submit, but it has to be from this year. When there are over twenty submissions by next Wednesday, a public poll will be posted and the albums and singles in the top twenty will go to the final round. From here, judges will give a rating for each submission a 1-5 , with commentary. When the ratings for each work is compiled together, it will be released on the special final issue of Blurb this August.
First Round
-Submit your work here with a description in the spoiler.
-It has to be from this year.
-Make sure it has a decent description, artwork, record label, and/or lyrics.
Second Round
-The singles/albums will be put in a public poll next Wednesday.
-The ones in the top twenty will be put in the final round.
-Please base the votes on QUALITY and not sales or friendship. Look at the descriptions.
-Tactical votes wil be deleted, forum name and IP addresses will be looked at.
Final Round
-Judges with experience in award shows are greatly preferred.
-Judges will give a each album and single a rating from 1-5.
-Commentary is a must, just to see if you're reading the description and add the best ones in the countdown.
-To try and prevent bias, you can't vote for your own work and don't be nice to your friends.
-From next Saturday to August 18 you have to decide what rating to give. The time space is huge, so you have enough time to be fair and reasonable.
