Top 20 Best Albums and Singles - So Far


I'll be doing a countdown of the top 20 best albums and singles released so far this year. Its not based on sales, its based solely on quality (think Rolling Stone Magazine type of countdowns). The countdown will be revealed on the special double issue in Mid-August. I will be doing special countdowns every now and then, and this is a test countdown to see how it goes. If it works out well, there will be more.


How will this work?
You will submit the the albums and singles in a thread I will make. It has to be released this year to keep it fair. When the submission deadline is passed, I will set up a poll and the albums/singles in the top 20 with the highest votes will be entered into the next round. I will ask for five judges (people experienced in judging from award shows would be nice) to rate the albums/singles from 1-5, and leave a short commentary if they want. I will count the votes and make a list with commentary and it will be put on the special issue.

When does it start?
This Saturday I will make the thread, and by next Wednesday I will begin the poll.

And of course I will have one at the end of the year.
