"No, I meant what did you want to talk about..?" She stayed near the door, not sure what to make of the urgency in his tweet when he said they needed to talk.

"Call it a day? What do you mean?" She folded her arms and stared at him with a confused look on her face.

Gia's stomach dropped a little after hearing him say those words. She couldn't believe what he was thinking. "I-Is that what you wanna do? I just don't understand. Things were fine and then you just left and things haven't been the same since, and I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong but I didn't do anything wrong at all. Where's this coming from?" She gives him a hard, stern look.

"I'm not concerned about that wedding anymore. The thing with Cassie, that's nothing to worry about, it's not the first time someone told me that. She was just trying to help me and you really.,,,have no idea how a marriage works do you? We have to be able to communicate, which for some reason we both suck at. We hardly talk, about anything and then we act. You just do what you want and don't think about anyone else, and for a man who almost lost his wife and two kids, you would think he would do anything to keep them and cherish them." She shakes her head and sighs. "Why separate? What would that solve? Nothing and we'd just prove everyone right. So far, I don't think anyone thinks we'll make it and for you to just agree with them is a slap to my face."

"She knows like everyone else knows because we fight like kids in public all the time. No, that's not who I am at all. You say that like you're proud, you don't even try to change at all. If you know something keeps screwing up our marriage, why won't you fix it? You want us to not work?" She looked down at the ground. "And nothing will change and we'll be at this same spot next week."

"I know you're far from perfect but that's not why I married you. There you go, not wanting to communicate again. Ine, you stay here while your family lives their life." She walks out of the room.

Gia stops and sighs. She walks back and stands at the door. "Yes?"

Gia walks in and sits on the edge of the bed. "I love you, you know that? I just want us to be fine and not so distant."

"You're staying in here then? Away from me and my post baby body?" She smiles a little and lays her hand on his leg. "We can do this, it won't be easy but we can do it together."

"Okay, if you wanna stay here then alright. Yeah, we can try." She moves her hand away and sits it in her lap. "So how was the wedding and visit with your family?"
