Rocsi: This artist has sold well over 50 million records, and her album "Robot Lover" recently went diamond. Give it up for our girl Giselle!
The crowd applause's, and Giselle walks in with a smile on her faces, waving at the audience.
Rocsi: Its nice to see you back (both hug each other). Now I know your fans are called "Androids", where did the name come from?
Giselle: Its great to see you to! Well they came up with the name after my song "Android", I think its cute really. My fans and I are like a family, and I think a name is something that brings us together. Its like a tribe. Their truly the best fans a person could have, I couldn't ask for more. (smiles)
The audience shots and applause's, and Giselle looks back and smiles at them
Rocsi: When I first herd your single "Glamorous Life" I was like this is a very different sound for you. Is this the direction your taking the album?
Giselle: Yes, definitely. I wanted a warmer more relaxed sound. My last album was cold, pulsating and hard. I wanted to sonically contrast that. I think the main difference from this album is that its narrated.
Rocsi: What do you mean by narrated? And whats the name of the album?
Giselle: Well its a concept album, and it follows a character who rises and falls from fame. Lyrically, its my most strongest and creative. I was inspired by many tragic Hollywood figures, most notably Marilyn Monroe. I also was creatively inspired by The Wizard of Oz, but I won't get into that because it would spoil the surprise. The name of the album is "Celebrity", and you guys are the first to know the name (smiles).
Rocsi: Sounds interesting, I wonder how The Wizard of Oz will work in this. When will the album drop?
Giselle: I'm hoping for it to be out by late August, but you know things can change. But it will definitely be out before September. I'm still working on perfecting the album right now, and doing some changes to make it just right. I'm too much of a perfectionist.
Rocsi: What else are we gonna hear from the album?
Giselle: A lot of stuff (laughs). This time around, I want to do sounds I've never done before. I wanted to do some house, downtempo, and trance. While bringing in some influences from funk, and dark wave. I wanted this album to be something I've never done before while making it still me. Its something you can listen to at night, and just sit back and get into the music. I'm creating a world, and a unique soundscape.
Rocsi: "Glamorous Life" has just being dropped this week, do you still get excited when you hear it on the radio?
Giselle: I do! I really do, like on my way here I heard it playing and I was so excited. Its crazy hearing your song on the radio, I'm still not used to it yet.
Rocsi: Will there be a video for the song?
Giselle: Yes, I'm meeting with a director tomorrow about the direction of the video. I should be shooting it real soon. I want it to be simple, nothing too fancy.
Rocsi: How have you changed from your first album till now?
Giselle: A lot, like when I first came out I was trying to come off as this over-confident girl, who thought she ran the world. Three albums later, I'm more relaxed, I know where I belong and what's right for me. I don't have to prove anything to anyone now. I'm just Giselle.
Rocsi: Yes I remember, you were like this little firecracker when you came out (smiles). You're soon going to be on your fourth album, are you planning to take a break after this?
Giselle: At this moment, I'll say no. I mean, I can't imagine not working, not releasing music. Its how I am, I love to work. Maybe in a few years I'll take a little break and get into other things. But right now my focus is music.
Rocsi: Will you go on tour for this album? 'Cause your last tour was massive.
Giselle: Yup! I want to go to more places this time around, and do bigger venues. I really love to tour, because I get to connect more with the my androids (smiles)
Rocsi: If I'm not mistaken, you were originally going to do a remix album.
Giselle: I was, but I pushed it back because I didn't like the material on it. I think when this era is over with, I will put it out as a buffer to hold my fans over for awhile.
Rocsi: Which is why you did the remix to "Breaking Point"?
Giselle: Correct (nods head). It was like a dual single for both albums. But it will surely be on the remix album.
Rocsi: What was it like working with DJ Cloud?
Giselle: He's amazing. He understands where I coming from and we really click. I loved his work with Cinzia and called him up to work with me. He was so friendly, kind and very professional. It was cool working with him again on his debut single. I would def work with him again.
Rocsi: Who are you working with on this album?
Giselle: When I was on tour I was going around the world looking for new producers to work with, I wanted something not many people have heard before. So I have some fresh faces in the album, however I don't have any features. I wanted it to be just me. It just wouldn't fit this time around.
Rocsi: Sounds good, real good. So are you excited to perform next?
Giselle: I can't wait, but the question is are you ready? (Giselle looks to the audience).
Rocsi: Okay girl. Stay tuned, you don't want to miss Giselle's debut performance for her new single "Glamorous Life" after the break.
The audience applause's, as Giselle and Rocsi hug and fades to a commercial.
----------Commercial-------
Debut Performance of "Glamorous Life".
Giselle sits on a chair with a jacket and sings the chorus to the song "
Mo Money, Mo Problems" in a laid back sort of way. After repeating the chorus three times along to its original beat. The sample with "Coming Out" continues to play, Giselle looks away from the audience and says over the sample "
You know what they say, mo money mo problems. but you know what I say to those problems? F***k them." Giselle is quickly censored and the camera quickly pans away to the audience after she puts up her middle finger, the crowd gasps and some cheer. "
The media will have a frenzy over this" one of the camera men say. The opening keyboard rift is soon followed by the bassline and the hi-hat. The lighting flickers on and off, and when Giselle gets up the lights turn blue. She removes her jacket, flips her hair with her hand, and puts the mic to her face to sing the first verse.
I don't know what, they want from me
It's like the more money we come across
The more problems we see
(3x)
Check out the shoes she's wearing
And the diamonds on her earrings
She's living the life
Vacations in Saint-Tropez,
And sprees at Tiffany's
Giselle performs with sass and attitude. She interacts with the audience, occasionally shaking their hands. For the chorus Giselle, does her dance routine but its simpler than before since she's singing with no back vocals. Giselle grabs her crotch during some parts of the chorus, and one of her dancers gives Giselle a hundred and grabs her lighter and burns it and she says "
money can't buy nothing but things that mean nothing".
Diamonds are her best friend
Love is her enemy
She looks for love in all the wrong places
And drinks to take the pain away
Shes living the life baby
Shes got the money and fame
Shes got the glamorous life
The glamorous life
Glamorous, glamorous, glamorous
Shes living the life baby
Shes got the money and fame
Shes got the glamorous life
The glamorous life
Glamorous, glamorous, glamorous
Shes a material girl ya know,
And they say money can't buy love
But her love costs money
She dont care, she's all about the spotlight
The lime light that makes you so beautiful
But shes lonely, and diamonds can only do so much.
Shes living the life baby
Shes got the money and fame
Shes got the glamorous life
The glamorous life
Glamorous, glamorous, glamorous
Shes living the life baby
Shes got the money and fame
Shes got the glamorous life
The glamorous life
Glamorous, glamorous, glamorous
The music slows down to just a piano, and the lights dim. The audience continues to make noise, but as soon as Giselle puts the mic to her face. She talks the French lines and a sound of a chorus singing "
ohh" in harmony (which was pre-recorded). Some in alto and tenor. And after the French part, Giselle sings the bridge with her voice sounding slighty amplified and distorted. Giselle looks extremely pleasured with the audience feedback, and stands with her arms wide open as the beat speeds up. She looks at the audience and sings the final chorus, her voice sounds haunting despite it being a pop song. When the song is over she looks at the crowd with a serious face, and slyly smirks. She bows and blows a kiss and says "
I make music for you, I love you". Her dancer gives Giselle her little jacket, and she walks off stage with her head up high.
Elle vit la vie de l'enfant
Elle a obtenu l'argent et la gloire
Elle a la vie glamour
La durée de vie glamour
Glamour, glamour, glamour
What happens when the fame is gone?
When no one screams your name?
When no one cares if you're dead or alive
The glitz and glam can last so long,
but you only have yourself in the end
And that's stronger than any diamond on earth
Shes living the life baby
Shes got the money and fame
Shes got the glamorous life
The glamorous life
The glamorous life (glamorous life)
