“Abie is a fantastic singer, when she called me asking if I wanted to direct a video for her, I was literally in shock! First I thought it was a joke, because I always wanted to work with her but for uncertain reasons I didn’t have the opportunity, so when her manager called me and she called further to discuss the video and everything, it was alike a blast to me.

She explained me what she wanted to represent in the video and I told her some tips and we talked about the location of the video and so we ended up filming in Paris and it was very nice day of filming.

I just hope her fans will enjoy the video, I know it’s not a extravaganza ‘Cold Spring’ thing and I must say that I simply LOVE that video, but ‘The Same Tear’ is very unique and subtle and sweet to watch. I really hope you all enjoy it!”

Abie about the video

“I called Jake and I told him I wanted to make a black and white video, something that would be simple but very passionate and intense. I didn’t want another ‘Cold Spring’ video with big effects and miracle things, I wanted something that would praise the song’s meaning. So we decided to shoot in Paris because what other place in the world to represent love than Paris?

It was a one day shoot only, but with a lot of work, I had to walk like over 4 times, it was hilarious because each time I had to kind of make the same expressions I did in the last walk, so it was very funny, despite all the sadness we wanted to show in the video.

I never worked with Jake Nava before, and he is a very kind man. He knew that we had to make something very different for this second single, once the first video for ‘Cold Spring’ ended up being my most downloaded and watched video ever, so I told him to not worry about how much this video must sell or succeed on YouTube views.

I hope we’ll achieve our goal with this video, which is to show my fans that is not a video that makes a music, but music that makes a video, and I really believe that this video is a compliment to the music itself, it just grows the feeling I wanted to transmit with the song, I also hope people will understand it and not only blame my ex-boyfriend in the video, I didn’t want to play the victim on it, that’s the reason the last scene is me walking away just like he did.

Abie is walking in a park in Paris facing the camera, the video is black and white and Abie is clearly very upset on her face expression.



The video consists of Abie interpreting the music as she goes for a walk on Paris, the photography of the video is stunning, and it shows the old and passionate Paris in a cold day, Abie is wearing a black overcoat, she’s also wearing a heavy makeup specially on her eyes, making them look like crystal once the nature color of Abie’s eyes is blue.





Abie gets in a bridge where she stands to sing some of the song’s line, she keeps looking to nowhere as the camera turn around her in a 180° degrees angle. The black and white and the old photography of the video contrasts to Abie’s young and much known face, the sadness in this video is not only on Abie, but it’s in everywhere she looks





Abie keeps walking till she enters in a bar, the scene in this bar consists of close ups of Abie and her love interest’s close ups of their mouths and eyes, seems like they’re facing each other for a long time, but the look in their eyes and the shut mouth determines the strange feeling between them.




After this scene, a tear drop from Abie’s eyes, as she keeps facing through a reflection her boyfriend leaves the place.





The final scene of the video shows Abie leaving the bar too, all alone walking through the old Paris, just like when she started the vídeo.
