Welcome to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. My first guests today have sold over 9 million records since just arriving on the scene 7 months ago. They are currently on their first ever world tour which sold out in minutes and are about to re-release their multi-platinum debut album. Ladies and Gentleman, cover your ears from the the screaming teenage girls, WEEKEND ARE HERE!!!!


Their debut single 'Everything About You' plays as the 5 boys all walk out together, Riley at the front and Billy at the back. They wear very formal clothes, all with a similar cream coloured theme going on. Weekend smile and wave at the audience as they cheer and applaud the boys. They hug Ellen individually and sit down, still smiling at the audience. Ellen and the boys laugh as they wait for the cheering to calm down so they can begin the interview. Eventually the cheering ceases.

Riley: Yeah, sounds like it

So before I get into the interview can I just ask Dustyn, what happened to your hair!? It's...brown.
Dustyn: Yeah I know, I dyed it last night. Want to know the reasoning behind it?


Yeah, please fill me in
Dustyn: Right well I was on the tour bus last night thinking; 'Right, tomorrow I'll be on Ellen'. I was thinking about how the interview would go and something didn't seem right when I was picturing the interview and that's when it suddenly dawned on me. I need to change my hair because when people tune in they wouldn't be able to tell us two apart if I still had my blonde hair.


The boys, Ellen and the audience all start laughing. Dustyn sits there, not laughing as he didn't realise it sounded funny, he just thought of it as a true statement.


Yeah...well you're right, we couldn't have that so I'm glad you dyed your hair Dusty. Now with that out of the way I just want to ask, what's it like being known as a celebrity and having millions of girls...and some guys throwing themselves at you? I'm not exaggerating when I say millions because you guys are just huge. Everything just sort of blew up for you boys. This time last year, you guys didn't even know each other never mind the public. So what's it like to be suddenly superstars?
Oscar: I find it weird that we're known as celebrities because to me, I'm still a normal teenage boy. Recording is my job, I don't feel any different to how I was one or two years ago.
Scott: I find it strange how people are obsessed with us. We're just people, we're not God or anything. Like Oscar said I still see myself as a normal person and sometimes I forget that I'm known all around the world. So when I walk down the street and I see people looking at me I'm like 'What the hell are they looking at?'.
Dustyn: Also, it's funny being famous because the fans seem to know more about me than I do....and I'm me!


Yeah, I've noticed how into you they are. I don't think there's anything they don't know about you. Do you find it hard trying to keep a private life?
Billy: Sort of. I mean we can keep lots of details under wraps which is easier than I thought but it's the rumours about your private life that's hard to control because obviously people are going to talk, people take rumours as facts and sometimes those rumours can worm you way into your private life and mess things up. I know that since me and Andrea got married, some people have been accusing me of sleeping with another girl and that's totally not true but as I said before some people believe anything and now I get dirty looks from some people.


Yeah I suppose that would be annoying because stuff would spread over Twitter and all these sites and before you know it, the whole world suddenly gets involved. Speaking of Twitter.....Oscar! What is this you uploaded?

Well it's payback time, Scott. So you guys are on your first ever tour, WWT. How does that feel?
Riley: It's amazing. One reason is because it feels like we've achieved so much, to be doing our own tour is just.....I can't think of a word that best describes how I feel. The second is because we're giving something back to our fans. They mean the world to us and the amount of stuff they do for us, they buy our singles, bought our album, buy merchandise, camp outside for tickets, promote our new releases, travel miles to see us so for being such great fans it's an absolute pleasure to perform for them.


You have support from Jacob Estrada, Mercedes, The Zone and Serenity Scott. How did that all come about
Dustyn: Well my boyfriend, Blake, is a member of The Zone so I asked him if him and the boys would like to tour with us. One reason being that Blakey is my boyfriend and I hate being away from him and the other is that it'll be great promo for his band as they're just starting out. I also contacted Jacob as I think he is a really talented guy and really fun to be around
Scott: Serenity's management got into contact with us asking if she could tour with us and we accepted straight away. At that time she was promoting her second single and just sort of starting out and like for The Zone, it would be great promo for her.
Billy: I've known Mercedes almost my whole life and when I heard she was starting a career in music, it was only natural that I ask her to join. She's an amazing girl, a really close friend and really talented.


Now Billy, it's now came to people's attention that you and Serenity don't get on. You don't hold back when you have an opinion on someone as we all know from the whole AJ Williams thing. Why don't you two get on?
Billy: Basically she's just an attention seeker. She has a problem with Andrea and I won't stand for that. Also it seemed like whatever I said, she would jump down my throat for it. I felt like she seen me as the most outspoken member or the most 'dominant' of the group and she felt the need to challenge me.


Think it will ever be resolved?
Billy: No. I know what she's like, she'll apologise and then 30 minutes later she'll be at you again. I won't HATE her or anything but I just think it's best if I just forget about her and move on.


On a lighter note, let's talk music. You guys have a new version of 'Fired Up' being released soon, right?
Oscar: Yeah that's right, this month I think it's coming out.


Why a re-release, why not a new album?
Dustyn:We realised that we have high demand and the release of our second album may be some time away and we didn't want our fans to sit and wait for a long time for new material. We couldn't find the time to actually sit and write and record a whole bunch of new songs during the tour so we only wrote a few new songs and a few covers will be on there. As we're on tour we can't do much promo, it doesn't really matter if it's a huge success or not because it's not a new studio album. This is just something for fans to listen to whilst we're away for a bit.


So when is your new single set to drop?
Scott: It seems like it's taking forever to be released but the full version will premiere this week and it should be released within the next two weeks. We've shot the video already and it was really fun to shoot. We'll hardly get to perform it live as we don't have time to do promo for it and on the tour we have a setlist to stick to. It's a shame because it's a really fun song.

Nice eyes.......I can't wait for the single to drop, guys. Do you hope it continues your string of hits?
Riley: Hopefully. Our singles have went top 10 all around the world and top charts so if this one flopped it would be a bit of a disappointment but it won't stop us from continuing, we won't through a diva fit and give up.


I think it's good to have that attitude, shows how determined you are. Speaking about not giving up, as well as all the love we have for you there is quite a lot of hate going on out there towards you guys. Have you ever felt like giving up after hearing or reading a comment or does that not phase you?
Billy: For me, I get the racist comments but I just laugh at how pathetic some people are. I think that the hate only really cam about as we got bigger. In a way I see that as better than if the backlash from people started from day 1 because we had already established ourselves, we were happy with where we where and because we were so comfortable, the nastiness didn't phase us because we already knew we had made it and with most artists, when you're successful you get some hate from....whoever. If it started from day 1, we would've felt like we had done something wrong and I don't think we would've continued as a group if all we got was negativity.
Dustyn: I get comments about my sexuality, height and my Asperger's syndrome. I think I get it the most but I don't really care. Everyone has an opinion and they're entitled to it. I'm not ashamed of who I am, I'm happy with myself and with Blake and Shay. People are just acting tough behind a screen, really.
Oscar: One thing that does annoy me slightly is like death threats. I don't get upset, I just get frustrated as to why people think 'oh I hate their songs so I wish death upon them' it's just so stupid. If people comment on a video saying 'I don't like Oscar's voice' or even something blunt like 'He can't sing' then that's fine, that's their opinion but reading something like 'I hope they catch AIDS and die' is a bit too much.

Ok, so Cassie555 asks; 'What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you in front of fans?'....great question
Riley: Nothing much has happened to me, thankfully. Oh well there was one time when someone called me Scott and called Scott, Riley. There was the awkward moment when you don't know if you should correct them or not.
Scott: I corrected them and that is probably the most embarrassing thing that's happened.
Oscar: I fell on stage once

Oscar: Yeah, pretty embarrassing
Dustyn: A fan gave me a mug that they had made and it had cartoon drawings of us on it and I dropped it and it smashed. I felt so bad for it but she just laughed, I almost cried.
Billy: I split my trousers on stage two nights ago....

Billy: Thankfully it was the second last song so I didn't have to show my underwear for too long.

Oscar: Umm....genetics? Honestly I don't know. I spend the least time on my hair than any of the boys.
Scott: Honestly, when we're getting ready he just towel dries it and that's him. Billy takes forever, he's very vain.
Billy: I know, but you love me for it.
Riley: I think Dusty has great hair too.
Dustyn: Awwww thanks Ri, I grew it myself.

They ask; 'If you could work with any artist who would it be?
Billy: I'd work with Giselle. I think she's very creative and I love her sound and style. Also, Foxxxy is pretty cool too.
Riley: For me it would be....Hayden. I know he's not really a fan of us but I really enjoy his music and it would be good to work together.
Scott: Ehh...probably someone who can nail a good pop song like Isabel or Teen Titans. I'd like to work with them because they seem to love what they do and are good fun.
Dustyn: I have soooo many. Abie Lena and Katie Coyle would be, oh it would just be a dream to work with them. Also, I love Jennifer Armstrong and Jacob Estrada. They are amazing so I'd be over the moon if we worked together.
Oscar: I'd like to work with a girl band. It'd be fun with a boy and a girl band on one song to see what the outcome is like. I'd love to work with 4U or Hard Sugar.
