The singer had been trying her best to become what she has become today. For years and years she had been trying to break into rotation in this industry, but no one hardly ever noticed her talent. Very often, she was let down by many people. She was trashed a lot, and numerous people would always tell her that she will never sell nor make it in the industry. As they say, practice makes perfect, and patience is the key. Word began to spread earlier this year about a girl by the name of Serenity Scott after she joined pop-punk/rock band 8 Mile Rock in April. She was spotted by the lead singer of the band at the 'Dirty Bastard Hotel & Casino' to a small crowd. Joshua quickly got in contact with her and offered her a spot as a vocalist in the group. Serenity quickly took her chance to stardom and joined the group. Unfortunately however, Serenity parted from the band due to creative differences just a short time after joining the band. However, by the time she left the group, Serenity had already began to get noticed by many people. Soon after she left the band, she released her debut single 'Wonderland' in June of 2012, and the song has been well received. It peaked at number 5 on the Top 20 Digital Songs Chart, eventually going gold selling over 604,000 downloads. This was a huge accomplishment for Serenity, as many never saw this coming. Shortly after her debut single took off, her popularity soared when popular bloggers for 'Culture Uncut', 'Lightening Bolt', and 'Picture Perfect' reviewed her singles, and shortly after she was quickly contacted by label executives from Liberation Records and was offered a contract. Without hesitation, she signed to the label for a 2 album deal, and proceeded to releasing her second single 'Escape from the Back' in July. The single didn't make as much as an impact that her previous single did, only peaking at number 12 on the Top 20 Digital Songs Chart. The single did eventually go Gold, surpassing the 500,000 mark, but it fell off the charts pretty quickly. A few weeks later, she released her third single 'Part of Him (Within Me)', a song that was well received by critics. The single was expected to do very well on the charts, but just as 'Escape from the Back' did, it made less of an impact, failing to break into the top 10 on the digital charts. Around this time, Serenity had started to get involved in Twitter arguements with Swedish recording artist Suzie Stockholm. The arguements made Serenity even more popular. Afterwards, Serenity went on and released her 4th single 'Take Over' and it did enter the top 10 on the charts, making it to number 8, but it quickly fell off the charts, without any form of certification at all. After 'Take Over' was released, Serenity was contacted by Chaos Records CEO Stinson, and was offered a contract on the label. Serenity believed that she was only being co-signed, and it caused a problem. Serenity's new label executive Nadia Berry found out about the signing, and Serenity got dropped by North Hill Records. She was also dropped by Chaos Records as well, leaving her without a label, and back on her knees again. Fortunately enough, she was approached by Stephanie Fierce, the CEO of the newly established record label Hot Eye Records, and was signed to the label for a 2 album deal, giving Serenity a home label once again. This all has given Serenity a little experience about the music industry and it's repercussions of doing certain things. Serenity still became trashed time after time again, and she recently gotten trashed on live television at the FCA's (Fan's Choice Awards) by famous blogger Cassie Bitch, the co-host of the show. Serenity took to Twitter to say that she was devastated while she was tweeting Katie Coyle, one of the biggest stars at the moment.
'Good Morning' is a mid-tempo pop and dance-pop power ballad record. It's featuring major American singer-songwriter Luke Striker, and was written by both Luke and Serenity themselves. Luke wrote his verse, while Serenity wrote the other lyrics that she performed. The production credits however goes to George King, a well-known producer in the industry. This new single by Serenity is definitely different from her previous singles. The message in this song is standing up and waving you're 'ex' good bye. It's definitely different from her previous singles, as the song is a much more of an "I'll survive and I'm free" type of track. The single will officially be released for sales tomorrow, the same time Serenity's debut album 'Teenage Era' does. Here is Serenity's comments regarding her highly anticipated single:
"I definitely know that this is a stand out track off of the album. It's basically giving encouragement to people who's emotionally hurting from a relationship to stand up and move on, because there will always be someone in this world who's the perfect match for you. I personally don't think this single is a song just for woman, it's a song that men can definitely enjoy as well. I've been working so hard on this track, and it's my favourite song off the album, and I know that all of my fans will love this single! It's my first single that's released under my new home label Hot Eye Records, and I'm so excited for it. A music video will be released really soon, as the filming process has already begun yesterday, and I'm hoping to get it out as soon as I can. For now, enjoy the song, it's my absolute best yet!"
