HOT TOPIC: Tisha Jackson's 'Reveal' Officially Sells Over 8 Million Copies Worldwide"
Recently, Tisha Jackson announced that the end of her “Reveal” Era was near. And that she will begin the trek of a new era soon. The “Reveal” era proved to be quite a success, becoming her most memorable defining era yet. She served her audience with a new attitude and a new do. Tisha showed her feisty side during this era, not only with her new attitude, but with a new fiery red do to match.
Reveal wasn’t an instant success when it was first released. But with more promotion, and more new music to assist the project, by the end of 2011, Reveal was at 4 million copies worldwide.
Fast Forward today, Tisha Jackson’s, “Reveal” has officially sold over 8 million copies World Wide. This is quite a feat as many of her counterparties have yet to match those numbers after releasing “three consecutive albums” in one year. “Reveal” has definitely become one of music’s most special albums in recent years, as it’s primarily R&B, a genre that many consider, isn’t as marketable as it used to be. However Tisha has continue to prove her and R&B’s nay sayers wrong with the release of “Reveal”.
One of the main reasons, Reveal has reached these heights is because of its re-release two months ago. Tisha released “Reveal, Revealing, Revealed on July 2nd, 2012. The album served as a two disc. Disc one being the original album of Reveal, released in June of 2011. And Disc two being six new songs recorded by Tisha, two of them covers. In the albums second week it charted at No.1 on “The Heat Top 20 Chart” selling 220,000 copies that week. Two months later, Today, it still remains in the Top 5 of “The Heat Top 20” album chart.
The original “Reveal” sold a total of 6.4 million copies worldwide. It’s re-release, “Reveal, Revealing, Revealed” has sold a total of 2,020,000 copies. When you tally the number of original copies sold and the number of re-released copies sold, “Reveal” has sold a total of 8,471,361 copies so far. A reason for Tisha to celebrate.
Tisha released the following statement earlier today,
“Wow! Over 8 million copies deep! I never thought I’d see the day. I greatly appreciate all my fans for buying my music and continuing to support me. This feat shows that even though others will try and bring you down, if you stick to your gut, have a strong faith, and believe in your vision, all your dreams can come true. And all things are possible. With this news and at a time like this, all I can do is remain humble. But I am so thrilled and excited. Even though I am already plotting for my next era, I will take a break, to make sure creatively it is as BIG as I envision it to be. Thank you for everything.”
