The Stephanie Fierce “Liar” music video is very well underway for a premiere in about 48 hours. Fans were teased on VH1 this morning with an exclusive first look at the visual.

During the 25 second preview of “Liar”, the star is briefly seen dancing “tango” with a mysterious man in a gloomy dessert backdrop. A few seconds from the preview also shows Fierce conducting an orchestra in what looks to be an abandoned theater. In another scene she’s seen wearing a beautiful white dress raising her arms as she sings, with a backdrop of stormy weather .Last but not the least, the cold fingers of the woman with the obsession is slightly shown.

“The video is dark but stunning. It’s almost like a classy version of a Marilyn Manson music video. There is a “music video” direction in the video; we didn’t really want it to look like a film. I think that’s a bit overrated and boring! Some scenes are very disturbing, but once again this video is not meant for a pop audience. The story is revolved around the idea of obsession. We didn’t want the video to be intentionally about Fierce, but rather about someone else. I guess we were adding more to the plot, which was something Fierce originally had in mind. We were inspired by Bjork’s experience back in the 90’s, when an obsessed fan committed suicide. The whole time we were thinking, how do we incorporate the structure of the song with the drama of the story and that’s when the idea of scene blending much like gender blending came to be.”


The song, which was released on September 2, 2012 has been made available for free download, with no radio play or release. Despite the approach, the song is being serviced as the lead single off Fierce's 8th studio album "Man Music" which will be released later on this year. Fierce also, released another song titled "Bitter Queen" alongside a music video. Both songs will be performed for the first time on this weeks new episode of "Saturday Night Live".
