So I want to raise about £2000 to go on a trip to a foreign country where I can work with Biologists. At the moment I'm aiming for an African one, but they're all pretty much more or the same price.
How the hell am I going to raise that money!! |

How the hell am I going to raise that money!! Get a job for a year, stay with your parents if you can, spend less money on booze, drugs, cigarettes, food, etc. Put the money you save along the way in a savings account you won't touch, fill it up with birthday money and Christmas money, and any generous hand out you can get hold of. It's actually fairly easy to save, but it takes time. Oh, and sell stuff. If you're going for a long time, sell games consoles, games (Amazon do a good trade-in price for a lot of games), books, stuff you won't be needing while you're gone. If you need money fast, there are options. If you can join a Credit Union and save enough with them, they should give you a reasonable loan, as long as you can agree to the repayments. Again, selling stuff is good. |
