Joey Johnson, bass guitarist of The Rockers has been released from rehab today. He spent the last month, overcoming a drinking addiction that had led to a car wreck which all most ended his life. Now that he is out he says he is sober and ready to begin making music again. He says he had spent his time writing songs and new music for an album he wants to do. "I have about 6 songs written and I just want to wait and talk to the guys and get settled but...I'll be writing again soon." says the 36 year old. "Its great to have him back, glad to hear he is sober and we are going to help him in anyway we can." says Joeys brother Johnny, lead singer of The Rockers. On hearing about the album with Liam O'mally, "I think it was great, they sounded good together and the split album was good to. I wish I could have played on that. But...things happen." More to come on the upcoming album. Stay tuned.

Rockers Update!

The Rockers today announced that a biography of their career is being written. The band along with Robert Kain and George Francis who are now with The Shadows will be co-writing it with professional author, and owner of V-Records, Cody Anthony. The book will be released in the coming months.

Also, a new single titled "Train Wreck" has been announced and is planned for a very limited release on June 2nd, 2009. The single will be released only in the USA and will be hard to find, but for those who get their hands on it, they are in for a surprise. The single has three songs off of the bands upcoming album and as Johnny Johnson says "One heck of record. You will not be disappointed!" Here is a track list and the artwork...

2. Love Angel - 3:34
3. Hard as a Rock - 3:58

The Rockers Update

The Rockers announced today that they will be releasing a new single tomorrow called "Enforcer"! The title track made its debut last night at the Gay Flag Festival to a great reaction. Here is the art work and the track list.

Today The Rockers released "Hot Shot (featuring Stephanie Fierce)" the single. It features a new version of Hot Shot with a more Rock n Roll feel to it and 2 new songs. Here is the artwork and track list.

Today the biggest news yet has been released! The Rockers have announced that their new album will be released on September 1st, 2009! The album's title has also been announced, it will be called "Black" and will feature some really dark songs about addiction, divorce and all around life subjects. The albums cover art will be released soon along with a track listing!
