You recieved the bans you were all given for a believably justified reason. The current stance of rules will no doubt be debated over the next few days, by those of us wishing to discuss it, which I personally am all for as we need a discussion on these affairs.
Rincewind, as said, banned stephaniewazhere, Chimp Records and The Nimrods for not heeding the prior warning in the Serious Debate topic applicable, and thus were all banned - equally - for five hours.
bikz, as said, has only banned those responsible for multi-accounting - such as in the events of ++__++ in his ban-avoidance period.
I personally, banned Chimp Records recently for the posting of pornographic material in the Off Topic section -
not for going off topic in the Serious Debate area which he recieved a previous ban for.
I also am responsible for banning sharinganerror, which when discussed with old.gregg, we both believed some of his posts in Serious Debate were frankly quite disgusting and deliberately inciting hate and discrimination.
This is all I will say on the matter.
