Associated Acts: Luke Striker Serenity Elizabeth Scott, known mostly as just Serenity Scott, is an American singer-songwriter who is most notable for her singles 'Wonderland', 'Escape from the Back', 'Part of Him (Within Me)', and her most recent single 'Take Over'. Many well known names in the music industry such as Stephanie Fierce, Radio Vine, and others have gave Serenity praise for her music. She recently finished touring with the Weekend boy band, and will be releasing her debut album 'Teenage Era', on 17th August, 2012, through Hot Eye Records. Serenity has been nominated for a Chaos Award for 'Best New Artist'. Many critics said that Scott's fanbase is surging rapidly, and by the beginning of next year, she'll be a worldwide celebrity. Serenity released her debut single Wonderland on 24 May, 2012. The single peaked at #5 on the Digital Charts, before quickly dropping off the charts with a following position at #20, and then #21 soon after. Although the single had fallen off the charts quickly, the song still managed to become certified Gold, selling 604,000 digital copies. Her next 2 singles 'Escape from the Back' and 'Part of Him (Within Me) failed to make an impact on the charts as well. However, 'Part of Him (Within Me) managed to go Gold, selling over 500,000 digital copies. Her recent single 'Good Morning' has so far started out at a good position, debuting at #8 on the Digital Charts, selling 195,000 downloads in the first week. The week after, it moved up to #6 on the charts. On August 21st, 2012, Scott's debut album 'Teenage Era' was released, and has peaked at #16 on the charts thus far. Although the album debuted at a weak position, it had a mediocre amount of first week sales, selling 126,000 copies. So far, the album has sold over 211,000 copies. Serenity Scott was born on 28th September, 1988 in Los Angeles, California, U.S. to Romeo Scott (father) and Victoria Scott (mother). She's their second child. Serenity enjoyed attending school when she was younger, and she often brought home good grades. Because of her high academic performance and being the only child at home, Serenity was often spoiled.
Serenity became interested in music when she was 13. She started performing in her school talent shows and her parents paid for her to get vocal lessons. By the time Serenity was in high school, she began performing at different small venues in her hometown Los Angeles. After she graduated high school, she held her music career priorities back for a while to attend Princeton University, where she studied Business. She finished college and got her Bachelor's degree and decided to begin focusing on her music career again.
