Suzie. Now it's hard to believe that this pop tart of a singer has made it even this far in career. Let's be honest. When she first emerged as this rich, brash, cocky and ultimately sexy pop star... there was one thing she was missing. A voice. This was shown ultimately when she released her very first single "Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden that became a worldwide hit, how? We don't know. Was it her looks? Is it something she possesses that just brings us in to her? Since then however, Suzie has consistently released plenty of top 5 or 10 hit singles, if she's not caught up in some major controversy that either pits her against another female in the industry in some sort of twitter fight, sleeping with someone's husband, kissing a legendary singer on stage in front of thousands (and millions at home) or just being mention for the sake of it. We have officially been exposed to Suzie - mania over the past two years, and Suzie, of course is ready to continue this "reign of terror" so to say. So whether it's her busty bussoms or her outrageous attitude that keeps us hooked, it has certainly worked in pushing Suzie up the ranks of music. Suzie has performed at the Chaos Awards, as well as being nominated at award ceremonies such as the Fan Choice Awards and if you don't think that's quite a nice resume for a sleeper hit turned into a massive career then what do you call it?
Suzie has been rumbling up her second studio album, entitled "Rise Above" that has been pushed back quite a few times for reasons beyond our knowing. The albums first single "Burn Away" which was a fast paced dance pop jam became a hit around radio stations as well as digital outlets by passing the sales of Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden. The track reached the #3 position on the Radio Charts and #2 on the Digital Charts aside from garnering mixed-to positive reviews citing the stellar production number but lackluster, robotic vocals of Suzie's. A few months later, she bounced back with the heavily controversial "Steal Your Man" track that came after Suzie was allegedly accused of sleeping with Scott R.H after she said it herself. Of course, these claims were denied and Suzie was called a liar, and whether or not this was a lie, the track became another one of Suzie's trademark songs due to it's massively revealing artwork and the over the top, provocative lyrics that straight forwardly spoke of stealing another woman's man. The track was eaten up by music critics on the topic of the song but loved by her fans and became a top 5 hit of Suzie's. That was the last released single off of Suzie's "Rise Above", for that time.
In late 2012, the album had to be put on hold as the pop seductress became a part of the reality series "Big Brother". Suzie was a standout in the competition, clearly. If she wasn't walking around in skimpy attires around the house, she was getting into psychical altercations with Serenity Scott and Nichole, she was making out with the likes of Chris of the Zone, Andros, and even Erica. Sadly, today Suzie was the 6th evicted cast mate on the show and happily ran out of the house as her final line before leaving the show was "back to luxury, b*tches!". Now that Suzie is free to continue what she is doing as she is not occupied by the Big Brother house, she wastes no time today, releasing the new single off of Rise Above, and the final single released before the albums official release in early November.
The third and final single before Rise Above is released is "Dance With The Queen". Although this single was in talks to be released as the second single off of the album, it took the back seat to favored single "Steal Your Man". Now, it's safe to say, it's time for the "Dance With The Queen". The song starts off right away as a swooshing noise is heard with fizzing synths and a slow, pounding backing beat that rides throughout the beginning of the track that is then picked up as computerized cymbals burst onto the track that make the beginning of the track sound "bigger". Still no sign of Suzie or Dominic for a few more seconds and then the beat slows down, the synths are still present but a much more calmer approach to the backing beat is heard as Suzie's vocals release onto the track. With her vocals aided and echoed with layers, she posses a great seductive manner in her voice and kitten like grown as she murmurs
I walk into this dark room and I see those heads turnin'| It's so good down here I feel the fire deep inside me burnin'
But you want more, than just to drink me with those eyes|I'm on the next floor, but boy you know I'd give you some highs,|You see I'm at the bar downin' shots, it's like I'm gon' drown,|Do you want me on my knees? You know I'll never go down; Suzie sexily sings about being in a club and seeing a guy who has their eyes on her ,as the beat moves behind her and sounds as if it's rising and then bursts into a incredibly catchy hook instrumental as the beat continues to rise, after a few seconds of the instrumental, the songs bursts into a dubstep like chorus that adds in all the previous vocals not to mention as the beat relentlessly makes it presence known the track with electric guitars adding and Suzie yells out: You wanna dance with the queen, d-d-dance with the queen,|I push my hips close to yours and feel you moving in between|You gonna beg me, please me, tell you that you need me,|But I don't wanna see you drop right down on your knee,|Everybody's watching as I'm grinding to to the beat,|I see your eyes on the prize as you grovel at my feet.|Dance with the queen, I'm your mother fuckin' queen|I'm gonna make you blow, yeah we'll be makin' a scene.;| As the real provocative manner comes out on the track, Suzie still possesses this sexy growl in her voice mixed with the production that may have your body moving already as she sings about being on a dancefloor and engaging in an over the top suggestive dance with this guy on the dance floor. The beat slowly fades out with only the synths bringing us to the next verse. The beats then pick up faster as Suzie starts singing the next verse of the track. I feel the beat calling me into the middle of the dancefloor/Your eyes are washin' over me, like you wantin' some more/You say you danced with your princess, you fought with the king| But I ain't gonna give it up when all you want is my bling.
I'm swaying to the sounds and I can see your brow sweating| But boy you better understand that this is all you'll be getting;|; The catchy lyrics feel as if they pass by very fast as they are enjoyable before we are taken to the hook, this time with lyrics, as that incredibly catchy beat is rising, Suzie sings:I'm like your royalty, boy you push me up me a throne,And when I look down, oooh you know I see how you've grown|But I'm not! Im! Pressed! Oooh No No No
You'll never see your queen undress, hey hey it's time to go|No you can't dance with your queen, not when I'm wearing my crown|Keep your hands free from my scene|Or I'll be takin' you down.|Dance with the Queen, D-d-d-dance with the queen,
you'll never never dance with your queen|Not when I'm wearin' my crown; The song then bursts onto the chorus that is has a huge dubstep influence relentlessly slams onto the track and as the chorus rides out, we finally hear Dominic Brown come onto the track for the bridge that cuts away from the big production and just includes synths that sizzle through the bridge as Dominic sings quick paced |There's a sensation ling'ring in the air|A sensation so strong I just can't bare|I want to get closer but boy I don't dare|I've been obsessing year after year |I want you to hold my body close to yours|Rockin' your body all night long|I just wanna tell you, baby, now|I still can't ignore all the hurt that's inside|There's no way to stop it, baby|My love is so pure, it can't be denied|So lemme dance whichu |Romance wichu |Have this dance wichu. Suzie moans in the background as Dominic sings in a rap like manner and when's he's done right away the song's instrumental hook starts rising once more before the final chorus unleashes: You wanna dance with the queen, d-d-dance with the queen,I push my hips close to yours and feel you moving in between|You gonna beg me, please me, tell you that you need me,|But I don't wanna see you drop right down on your knee,|Everybody's watching as I'm grinding to to the beat,|I see your eyes on the prize as you grovel at my feet.|Dance with the queen, I'm your mother fuckin' queen|I'm gonna make you blow, yeah we'll be makin' a scene. The chorus comes around once more before the track comes to a haunting end.
Looks like Suzie is not wasting any time after leaving Big Brother to release the final single off of her anticipated and long awaited sophomore effort "Rise Above". "Dance With The Queen" will be available everywhere this Sunday! What do you think?
