Apparently, according to doctor sites, I need to lose another 60 to 70 pounds...bull shit. I would be nothing.

Since this post, I've lost 20 lbs. Leaving me at 240, which is 17 stone. I wish it would have been more but between then and now a lot of shit happened and I actually shot up to 20 stone before getting back on track and losing some.

BMI sites still say I'm obese, but I'm really not feeling it anymore. I can look in a mirror and be satisfied. I still have about 20 pounds to lose, I'd say. But when you're on the other end of losing 40 lbs, and only having 20 to go, I'm smiling. :)

Down another 10 lbs. Leaving me at 16.5 stone. Hoping to get down to 15 stone by my birthday in Feb. Seems like a perfectly reasonable goal. :)

Today I checked out a house in North Vancouver that I might be moving to. It is expensive, but North Vancouver is so beautiful that it makes Vancouver look like a gigantic mountain of fresh steaming shite. Not only that, but it's room and board, so I don't have to buy food, and I'd have no bills to worry about. Plus, I can walk to the bus to my new job at Cypress Mountain, which will save me a lot of money and time. Also, it's a fucking incredible house.

Only problem is getting out of my lease here in Vancouver.

NORTH VANCOUVER MOTHERFUCKERS!

I bought an MP3 player. Not an iPod, a Sandisk Clip Zip. It has an interface that's like going back in time. But it's super tiny, and though there's only 4GB on board, my 32GB SDHC card brings it up to 36GB, which is quite reasonable.

Only downside so far, it seems to be REAL slow to transfer stuff onto it.. Seems like it's taking at least 3 seconds per song over USB2.0. So in one minute, it's transferring maybe 20 average length songs. so in one hour, only 1000 songs transferred. That's fucking crazy slow.

3 seconds per song is alright, I mean you're loading the damned thing full.

I've been watching a lot of Moral Orel and as a consequence listening to a lot of Tallahassee by The Mountain Goats. Moral Orel is a really good show.

My experiences with Apple products over the years have been fairly negative (still hate OSX). I've used the iPod touch, and yeah, it's fine. iPhones are pretty good too. But I basically have to use iTunes to operate their devices, so fuck that. I will never use iTunes.

That and the fact that I'm embedded in the android ecosystem at this point. What I really want is an memory-expandable Google Nexus so I can go back to one device in my pocket instead of two or three. This mp3 player cost me $43 however, so until then I'm going lightweight. Also, will be good for snowboarding.

Apple gets a lot of hate, from a lot of people me included)... But when they do something right and do it well then its hard to complain...
i like Itunes, it makes it easier to buy hard to find music legally, im used the the interface and i like the ease of use you get with Ipods..... Ipads and Iphones and macs i do hate though...

Scotch?
don't you mean Whiskey as in proper Whiskey... not silly American Bourbon..

also going cheep for your Snowboarding mp3 player is very veyr wise, over the last 6 years of doing seasons ive gone through a good three or four mp3 players.... they just can't handle the cold or bashing..
I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they are like:
Hey, what are you doing here?
and im just like:
Oh you know, hunting elephants

Well if we're going to be really picky about it then it should be whisky. Whiskey is the spelling for stuff from Ireland & the States, whisky is for stuff from Scotland.

It says its distilled in Scotland, I'm just going by the label. I felt like a change from boring vodka. Pretty tasty, a smattering of water does wonders for the taste.

However one may wish to spell it, it is still horrible in my eyes (Not that I it in my actual eyes). Some girl bought me a whisky at the bar on Friday night because I'm Scottish...jesus Christ, it was more awful than I remembered.

Ooh, I hope during my time there girls buy me bourbons because of my nationality. Though if they try buying me a Budweiser, I'll stare until they politely leave.

Think my first beer will be a Blue Moon if I'm lucky. I've heard really good things from friends about that.

My first beer was Busch. One of our friends knew a guy who let us come over and drink. Real weird cat who looked like Steven king. Chris told us the guy was on the run for killing his wife in New Mexico. We all thought Chris was full of shit,he usually was. Months later, I see the guy and his truck on America's most wanted! He had long slipped town by then.
