This is an old friend of Alex Sin. I was a guitar tech for Fear. My name is Mark I will be updating the page while he is on "I'm A Rockstar, Get Me Outta Here!". He wanted me to let you all know before the show started to make sure he makes it on the show, and that he promises each and every Alex Sin fan that this is exactly what he has been needed to make his comeback. He will be releasing his new solo album in August and he promises it. From what I've heard it sounds excellent. Really well put. A mixture of some real dark love songs to some indie rock. It's really dark and haunting. I don't want to give it all away but Alex did however write a really beautiful acoustic song for the album called "Living Isn't Free". More later will be announce. I'll keep you all posted.
-Mark.

Out of all the pople on I'm A Rockstar! I get elimanted. If you haven't seen I flipped out when I was told to leave. It's true. I think all of my fans will agree I should've stayed. Fuck it. I don't need know tv show to prove I'm a "Rock Star" as they describe themselves. I've seen some shit all along my music career I think I can truely classsify myself as a "rock star". If you haven't heard Smash Up has broken up so I don't know if Fear will be touring still or not. I know one thing, I will be at work on my new solo album. It is still to be titled "XO" and will have a revamped tracklisting. Also, it's time to shave! :)

Love,
Your Sinister Friend
Alex Sin.

Currently Listening To:
Elliot Smith - "Figure 8"

Launched a brand new Fear website today. Also if you haven't heard my good buddies in Casting Thin Shadows decided to "give back" to the fans by releasing the new highly anticipated album early. After listening to it, I have to say it is a pure classic. I mean really good. From beginning to end. Go check it out! I have written over at least 60 songs this time around for the solo album and I am winding it down to 10. It's hard because everyone sounds good to me but I am thinking of recording it all together so that way I can go on tour and then release the other album when I'm ready. But we will have to see. This is more folk and indie rock than my usual alternative rock approach I've been doing.

XO Official Tracklist:

01. Blackout
02. Sparks Of Fire
03. Living Isn't Free
04. Apartment Complex
05. Erased/Replaced
06. Gambler
07. Cigarettes
08. Where The Circle Ends
09. New York
10. Hungover

Will be out August 31st! I mean it this time. First single announcements coming soon!

Love,
Alex Sin

What Am I listening to?
Casting Thin Shadows - "The Golden Bough"
Billy Madison - "The Tenth Circle"

Press Release For New Album "XO":

Quote:
Alex Sin plans to take over the U.S. once again when he drops his fith solo album "XO". "XO" takes approach of more of an indie album than more of his usual alternative rock solo albums. The album is to drop August 11th in the United States. The albums first single "Gambler" is backed by an acoustic guitar with a hooky bass riff followed by a mid-tempo drum beat with Alex Sin singing real low then high in the chorus then back and forth. The album marks a change for Alex. Change is good. Just like this record. The long time Brooklyn Boy pays homeage to his home state once again on the track "New York" which features The Junction. An up and coming new exciting band. Alex invites a lot of his friends on this record. He does a duet with the beautiful Stephanie Fierce on the song "Sparks Of Fire". Than he teams up with legendary punk band The Prisoners for the political track "Living Isn't Free". After that he does yet another collaboration with his old time friend Regan Futrell on the song "Erased/Replaced". Finally he does a track on the awesome closer "Hungover" which features Vivienne York. Alex also had help on producing the album from Regan Futrell and Jake Comatose. Also the track "Living Isn't Free" the music was performed by The Prisoners not Alex as so was "New York" other than that Alex wrote and performed on all tracks. This album is a must have for any Alex Sin fan, or any Fear fan that likes this kind of music. Alex will be starting a US tour soon so be on the look out!"

A Message From Alex:
"I know this album took forever for me to release. But the reason behind this is because I wanted to release some what of a double album of two different sounds. This is more of an indie rock album while "When Everything Has Fallen" is a industrial dark album. With that saying I will be releasing When Everything Has Fallen when I am done with my U.S. tour. So expect a lot more of my solo music!"

Thanks to everyone who came out on the tour. I've been real busy in the studio cracking up these tunes. We'll be releasing "When Everything Has Fallen" as a bonus disc with this next album. The album sounds good and everything but let's just say this has ended up to a double album. It's going to be more like an autobiography of my life and "When Everything Has Fallen" is like part two of that. Part one is being recorded right now. I've been working on this for the longest time and I can asure all of you it's going to be great. I mean I have my old friend recording guitar on this album. Marcy Smith. That's right! Also Regan is once again co-producing some tracks. I'll update you all along the way as much as possible. Thanks once again everyone. I'll talk more of the Fear situation later.

Love,
Alex Sin

10_25_09: I'm in the studio. It's cold, it's dark. I'm with my only remaining friend from my Fear days. Mark Locus. He is on drums for this new record. I'm reworking on the "When Everything Has Fallen" tracks. They sound great. I'll be making a comeback soon. This album is dark and it finds me experimenting with an 80's alternative rock sound(Think The Cure and The Smiths). This album sounds like an autobiography I swear. I can't wait for everyone to hear it. I'm determined to make a kick ass album. If you couldn't tell I have been keeping my music career and my life very secret from everyone right now. I don't know, I'm just the type of person who can't be distracted from things while I know I have something I need to be doing. I don't want to get into the "Why Isn't Fear still going to tour after they claim they would?" All I have to say is I saw what Paul said and I also heard Paul and Logans latest work. It sounds good but I'm done living in the past. I have to be doing something new and not the same shit each day. My time is coming. I just know it. Marcy is also still in the studio and Regan has been producing the whole album with me this time. Forget what I said in that last update. I have started reworking and worked on new songs for 'When Everything Has Fallen' and that WILL be my next solo album. We are just now getting into recording it and putting these songs to it's full potential. Just thought id let everyone know.

Love,
Alex Sin

11_08_09: Still in the studio. I've been like a mad scientist writing the music on this record. It feels great to be back at home. We relocated to my studio in great ole' New York City! It's so inspiring here. This album will be the death of me it feels I'm not gonna lie. It's just for some reason I want to keep writing more songs then I already have and when I record them I want to do something different. I'm not gonna lie the reason it has took this long for me to get back in the studio is because of writers block got to me but it's all good now. This might even be my last solo album. Yeah I said it. I plan on producing up and coming young bands from New York. This album has been pushed back so much. I'm retiring after this record is put out. Well not really. Just taking another hiatus. I've recently found someone who I might settle down with I'm not sure. She does have the key to my heart and I won't tell anyone her name because of the filthy paparazzi but this record I'm making now is going to be a dark album. It will feature up beat songs but most of all it will be dark. I will do a world tour this time as well to. Promise!!!!!!

Love,
Alex Sin

heh. heh. heh.

Remember that trilogy album I was suppose to release like two years ago? Well I'm finally done with all the bullshit rehab and hiding from the world so i'm back! i went and have rediscovered myself and will let my music speak for itself. however i released a new e.p. for U.S. and U.K. only it is called "Fuck YOU" and you can download it here. I am about to start releasing my new music soon. i went back and did something unique. got 3 different producers with the albums and also a concept behind the trilogy set i won't explain it until it comes out. the tracklist i posted before is a fluke however. it's totally different. the first album "When Everything Has Fallen" had multiple producers. "Curtain Closing" was produced by me and Marcy Smith. "The Basement Sessions" in which bunker18 produced the whole album for me and has a really unique laid back vibe with this album. & I'm currently recording a new album already with Regan which will be release after this trilogy is released. i hope to get back on the right path in my life and do good as a solo artist. i miss the days of fear but it's time to move on and it's dead and buried. stay tune for updates.

and I am currently in the studio recording my next album called "Nights & Thoughts" produced by Regan Futrell. i lost myself over the years dealing with being an artist and i am 100 percent ready to give this a full last run and find success and not fuck things up. i dig dig and dig to find myself as a musician and as a person and i think these 3 albums show that. it's not a concept album but each album tells how i was feeling round the time 'XO' came out and i tried to reunite Fear and had my overdosed. yeah it's been a crazy past 3 years but i'm back. and im relieved to have the ones still believe in me that produced these albums and kept checking up on me making sure i was ok. i wasn't sleeping for months until these 3 albums sounded great. the third album is my most raw sounding album i ever did. vicent(bunker18) is a genius and it sounds so good cause we actually recorded all this in my basement once i got outta rehab. he is a great rapper and a great singer. we share vocals through out the whole album except the last track. so it's really a collaboration album with him. he put a lot of work into it and i like every one of em but 'The Basement Sessions' would be my favorite one out of em. tour dates coming soon as well.

two new e.p.s released. mixing for trilogy album starts this week.

i have released two new free e.ps just 5 cuts from the new albums and one track is from "When Everything Has Fallen". the first e.p. is called "Fuck YOU".

single cover:
UserPostedImage

tracklist:
01. Fuck YOU
02. Midnight Enters
03. You Can't Have Me

the second e.p. is an original song that was gonna be for one of the albums but didn't have room for it and the next two tracks are cover songs i did.

single cover:
UserPostedImage

tracklist:
01. Life Goes On
02. Clean(Depeche Mode Cover)
03. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart(Al Green Cover)

all my new releases will be like bunker18s. it will all be free downloads i post up. the DM and Al Green cover I did are very close to me. i went through a deep deep depression after 'XO' was released with drugs and all. And I after numerous escapes outta rehab when i was suppose to be there I finally got myself back together. I tried reuniting Fear(My old band I use to sing for). it didn't fall through and really upset me. we went through it all as a band. hell we use to not even be called Fear and use to have a singer by the name of Robert who died of overdose. Which was the same place I was heading. I miss Robert to death but no one wanted to see me go like he did. So I took my close friends advice. Also Regans cause he is the reason Fear even got to where we wanted for recognizing us and supporting us since day one. I am forever thankful to my close friends and have decided to devote myself to my solo career. the past is the past and it is time for newer things. you can hear each and everyone of my emotions throughout all these albums coming out. i say don't call it a comeback. call it my return. i'll tell you this it isn't a soft pop record and it's a side of me no one has seen ever.

Thuglife featuring bunker18 has been released and serves as the first single from the new album "When Everything Has Fallen". It's dark, grungey, raw, and in-your-face. This album is to be a dark twisted album filled with creativity of real life experiences that Sin went through during his depressed time after 'XO'.

You can download the single here.
