Scott laughs. "It depends when you mean. When we first started, I didn't give a damn. Just give me a stage and some people and I'm good. When we were in stadia though, I'm not just going to be some pushover. They had to know who the important people were." He laughs.

Scott nods.

"Damn right. If you're gonna learn you might as well learn from the best." He chuckles.

Scott looks at her, a little confused.

"At home...we walked here. Don't you remember?" He laughs.

Scott smiles as he looks across at Gia, seeing Sophie totally passed out and clinging on to Gias shirt with both hands as she rests her head on her mom's chest.

"Looks like someone did walk too far after all then. She must be knackered," he says with a smile.

Scott smiles. "Yeah it's just about the only time she's quiet now. As soon as she learned to speak it was like she would never shut up." He laughs. "I think she likes talking. Like her mom." He sticks his tongue out.

Scott smiles. "I'll be glad when she can say more and hold a conversation. Right now it's just mostly our names, yes, no, Bailey, up and eggs."

Scott laughs. "It's so strange to see a baby learning all this stuff. Its fascinating and so cool though. Like to see she picks it up bit by bit."

Scott smiles and squeezes her hand. "You've seen it all too. I'm just still hoping it'll all come back to you some day. Can you guess what her first word was?"

Scott laughs. "No...close though, nah I'm kidding. She said mommy first."

Monday December 17th - 21:30:25

This was the night that Scott had been dreading for the last week or so since the reality had come true about what happened with Gia after the accident. He was managing to supress his depression reasonably well most of the time, spending the day times with his family and seeking solace in the bottle at night when he was on his own. For the past few nights, he had even been sharing a bed with Gia, but he had been sneaking away when she was asleep, sitting alone in the living room and searching for answers at the bottom of a whisky bottle. Most of the time he managed to smile, to make it seem like he was holding up, but he could not paint on the smile 24 hours a day.

Scott was now sat in the living room alone. It had been an hour or so since he and Gia had gone to bed, and 45 minutes ago, he had left the room to begin drinking and drowning his sorrows once again. Tonight it was different though. Today, Scott and Gia had been married for a full year, but it broke his heart that she had absolutely no clue about this at all. He sat here for the last while downing shot after shot, the tears streaming down his face silently on what should have been a day of celebration and happiness for a day when he had finally tied the knot with the girl of his dreams.

On his knees lay a heavy leather bound book. It was open at the middle, the photo on show seeing Scott and Gia stood on a grassy area, Scott in his tux, she in a beautiful white dress. Between the two was there, at the time new born daughter Sophie, and they both had the widest smiles on their faces. How different it was now. How Scott longed for those smiles. All that came now though, every time he looked at a picture like this one from their wedding, was an immense sadness and despair. Another tear fell and splashed on the photo as Scott sunk another whisky, sobbing to himself.
