Her brother, James Devine did do the drum production of the record also the mixing and mastering of the whole track that is inspired by the bittersweet of love and revenge from two people that are in love. Her powerful but emotional vocals are the encore of this track, with breathtaking lyrics written by the amazing team at Tric Jam that Neveah inspired some of the backing track production of the vocals and lyrics. This powerful intense record is the lead single from Chanel's new album, " Unpretentious" due out in 2013.
The Vocal Bible Just other day for the powerful vocalist Chanel Devine as she delivers her strong vocals in such an edgy ballad that is the remembrance from tracks like ' Basket of Roses' almost two years ago. The native that once was a little girl only dreaming about singing around the room with classic ballads and performances are all coming true as her latest hit, ' Holding is Lost' is a radio smash on the R&B/Urban radios as recently pop radio has shown the humble star their attention with spins over 133 times this past week. Her humble, sweet Southern hip attuide that is very soft and innocent is not shown in her new album. The more aggestive and honest side of Chanel comes out in her new material, but still shows the soft side that she loves to display because that who she is. Her motives, her power in her steer voice that can hit unbelievable notes to make you feel, yet desire the story she is telling in her ballads. She wants her listeners to feel, but yet feel the story she wants everyone to experience just by the magic on your ears. The girl who takes this record by far, her best work vocally and the arrangement is one of a kind, features in drums, that is hard, intense and very modern as it takes you along the ride of her claiming ' the vocal bible' position in her runs and riffs in this record that shows her stunning range, her belts and grunt notes that is forceful to feel and hear the pain in her voice. The buildup vocally and the production, the quality of the lyrics and record is Chanel's highlight of what she has truthly been waiting for. The production is clever, the lyrics are brave, but her voice is speechless. This record will be the play around in 2013 as she releases it in the top of the year to show that this revolution and movement is something seriously to be on the look out for, the record of all lifetime pain in Raising Hell and Amazing Grace.... take a listen truthfully below. Background Arrangements (also mainly vocal/general arrangement) Her brother, James Devine that did an beautifully job at the background arrangements of the record, also co longing with Neveah on the arrangement as well. In the beginning of the record, sounds of quiet firecracker, falling down, ready to explode is heard, but before it hits the ground, the drum then desmonstates upon it when the intense drum roll and arrangement begin to play continually. The sounds of firecrackers falling it also sounding as a plane is taking off in the year as every time the effect sounds begin to sound as if they are falling and close to the ground, the intense drum arrangement that is sounding very hip-hop and funk mixed in with the soft claps in the background that goes smoothly with the drums that are sounding like you can move your shoulders fast with the melody and patterns of the drum beating loudly and forcibly. The :30 seconds is up before we know it, in the back, is heard " Tric Jam!" to the release of the first verse as Chanel delivers such an real as the beginning intro of the song. During the verses, sounds of things chasing is very quiet, but enough for the listeners to hear, but Chanel vocals outshines and out rules the dramatic effects to the calm bass drum that is also overshadowing the effects, the bass is sheer and powerful when Chanel is buildup her breathing power so her notes can be just as powerful when the powerful bass kicks in going into the pre-chorus. The cleverness of the song begins. Going into the pre-chorus, it seems the bass-line of the drum and sythns of the effects is matching Chanel's increasing power in her voice, it adds and blends so well when the bass is all of the sudden ranged by the drums, going into this extreme loud powerful chorus line that Chanel sings over the loud, powerful, energetic but anxious bass and drum as it all intensely hypes up the record with sythns of the bass going in and out and the drums doing the amazing job of taking over the record's powerhouse sound as it all comes together at the end when Chanel belts out the last word of the chorus. During the second verse, it seems snaps and claps are added to the dramatic effect of the record with the bass-line in a lower pitch as Chanel vocals are the main focus this time away, before the pre-chrous begins again, the bass-line then goes back into the powerhouse arrangement of going extremely bold and loud with the addition of the drums rumbling on as Chanel powerhouse vocals then release into a higher and powerful pitch, singing in a grunt sheer notes, every little vowel as sharp and clean as possible. The powerhouse effects and arrangement are still in effect by the bridge they are included with background vocals mixed with Chanel's seperate background vocals she recorded only without the backing track of the record. Echos of the bass line is heard and every last word Chanel sings in each line is echoed as the last note is long when the bass is quiet. The record get quiet to a few seconds later, the bold and creative sound all rises up gracely on Chanel vocals when she repeats the chrous to the open ending of the drums rumbling on for a few seconds and the bass line cutting off. Vocal Arrangements Chanel vocals is another thing. Her sheer notes is just as graceful, her willing to transfer into head and chest voice so effortlessness is shown during the chorus when each word of emotion is heard thought her grunt powerful sheer notes that hits Gracly into three or four notes in just 6 seconds rates during the verses. All the verses are just as deep and passioned, her lower pitch voice is an easy resonance to her build up to her powerful, but very emotional voices in her intense and high pitches and ranges of her amazing head voice. Her signature riffs are tight, very confidence, but the amazing part about the vocals is her power in such a way that Chanel never did it before. She takes her lower pitch notes and makes them soft and easy, but you hear the power building up intensely as the verses goes on as her voice becomes always ready to hit the long sheer note at the end of each chorus, her grunt and breathing is the way she goes about hitting 4 octaves in each verses as her deeper and more quiet rangers out thought the song is heard, mostly in the verses. The second chrous is not like that first, she does unbelievable deep register runs that sents chills thought her body as her remarkable pitch feels well within the bass line during the arrangement. Her deep and seductive vocal pitch is impressive but then gets more intense when that deep register transfer over to her high and belting powerhouse that fulls with clear and inviting emotions in her voice. The notes are as sharp. During the bridge, her whistle notes are heard out thought the bridge as she sits in a impressive whistle mixed in with a low and deep falsetto, taking her time with the lyrics and pace of the song, she goes into a higher whistle night as the power that hiding deep within the notes that she delivers so smoothly and calmly before she uses her voice more like an instrument, singing in a low and calm vocal range but then takes it up higher with the whistle notes, singing in a very sheer and shrink notes in a chest voice, screaming out her riffs as she goes to low to high, high to low and then takes it down in a calm but nastle sound to her voice then with the whistle in full voice echoed in track with impressive vocal talents. At the end, she ends with a long note that then ends with a powerful chest voice she ends slowly on her deep register. Background Concepts Chanel wanted something that showcased the uniquness and knowledge on her composition of music on this album. The song shows the love and war, the pain and tears, the happiness and sadness of an relationship but still letting love win out though the pain and suffering on the things you both fight for. You can tell find someone extremely special in someone even if they have not be dedicated to making the relationship better or worst. The ' Raising Hell' is the fights, the screaming and shouting, the hurtful words, the lonely tears, the anger, the revenge of two people who are in love maybe for the wrong reasons. The hell and the suffering you both know you are putting so wrongly on each other, but do it because the true love inside is sometimes hard to find. ' Amazing Grace' is somehow finding your way back to the one you truthly love no matter what happened or what you said, you truthly forgive each other for everything that happened to only bring you closer, not apart. The two titles that we just put into one is because we can be lost between two things you are not sure about, is it love or is it just another relationship to learn from? We wanted that Raising Hell part of the song to be like, " Oh my, this is horrible.." and the ' Amazing Grace' part of the song to be bittersweet and say raising hell is bad, but it's for a reason and we do it so we can make it back to each other and show the true affection, love and desire after all. Lyrics " The writers did an amazing job taking my story and putting into this record. I think people will understand personally the story with the lyrics and then understand the concept of what we were working towards with such an powerhouse record and why we made it this way. I think the lyrics will show people that I'm not only a vocalist, I'm a story teller, I'm a lyricist, I'm a writer..
