STEPHANIE FIERCE PUTS DUBAI FANS IN A FRENZY
Rolling Stones Concert Review: Stephanie Fierce: History Revealed World Tour in Dubai [1/14/13]

Fierce, wearing a tuxedo leotard as she performs during the second act of the show.

Probably one of the most underrated tours of the year? Did I say underrated? Yes. Well, let's just say when the DVD of this tour comes out, underrated no more it shall be. I've been living in Dubai nearly all my life, and I often see many pop stars visit our territory mainly because we are a great market for international musicians, but Fierce is an exception. A lot of artists, typically legends, are hyped to be the greatest performers of our time, but Fierce doesn't fit that mold. She is extraordinary live and it you chose to deny that, you are clearly delusional my friend. But then again, we are all entitled to our...blah blah.

Jumping the gun, I can say that The History Revealed Tour, is one of the best shows I've been to in a long time. I'm also sure that it's not because I coincidentally attended the show which was set for DVD filming. Please take notice, that I bought my front row ticket for this concert three months before the show. I knew however, that it was very strange that the Dubai Sports Complex, which normally holds 15,000 for sport events, was redesigned to fit 18,000 people that night. That usually never happens unless something special takes place. But what were the chances that out of the 100 shows, ours was getting picked for DVD filming. But, as I'm sure you know I wasn't the only one excited. The moment Fierce took to her mic to announce it, the whole crowd went to roar and dare I say some fans even cried. Sob, is the better word actually. It does seem like Fierce, still has the Bieber Fever effect with some of her fans.

While the tour's concept does seem to be reminiscent to the "Time Machine World Tour" in many ways, the tour does stand on it's own and could respectably earn the title as Fierce's biggest tour to date. I mean Fierce, is just a boss on stage, I have yet to see a pop star that could match her presence when it comes to being both a live singer and an entertainer. They way she commands that stage, is almost as if she's been starving for a performance for years. But we already know all of this, let's move on forward to the actual show.

With a completely sold out crowd, Stephanie Fierce allowed no room for mistakes, as moving cameras followed her every move and every note. Each act/section of the show, included brand new costumes which looked incredibly sparkly and expensive from a front row seat view. And who could not mention the ravishing and very well experienced diverse band that accompanied her on every song. One thing to notice was that this was the very first tour in which Fierce did not include an all female band. Two of the guitar players were indeed males. Not that Fierce is a feminist all the time, but that definitely surprised me. What makes this tour stand out from a lot of tours, is that Fierce is very much involved and connected to the instrumentation. In other words, Fierce doesn't seem to be a remote controlled by the band, but instead the band seems to be remote controlled by her. The only thing distracting her were those fancy cameras floating around. But, Fierce seems to look a whole lot more intimidating in person, her tall body and flawless curves almost leads you to believe she isn't real. Call me a stan, but I was in complete awe seeing her in person.

Yes, the floating cameras spacing around made the whole show seemed very important, but it was the more natural moments during the whole show that made the night one to never forget. Openly as possible, Fierce took no worries to say whatever the hell she wanted to say in between her songs. "I like to shut down rumors, because I think my fans deserve to know the truth" Fierce told the crowd of 18,000. One particular thing I enjoyed from the show is that Fierce carried on conversations with the crowd almost making everyone feel like they were right at her living room. At one point, Fierce even went into the audience and sat in one of the seats, which worried her security guards, but she merely flicked them off, mouthing words that I couldn't catch. Luckily it wasn't me she sat next to, cause I probably would of fainted or worse attempted to touch her! Creepy I know. But all of this lead me to think, does she do this at every show? How ballsy of her! Also no sort of hype man was needed throughout, it was the constant energy being poured from the star that had the crowd on their feet, singing word to word to all of Fierce's classics. From the horn flavored debut "Hot Shot" to the folky alternative rock hit "Dying in the Airwaves", it was evident that Fierce remains one of the most versatile acts in the industry today. If we were to summarize things, the first half of the show seems to merely focus on the more up-tempo, pop oriented songs. The other half seems to focus on the more alternative, guitar/acoustic driven material in Steph's discography.

In the end, Fierce did seem tired, but she still carried one with very flawless and respectable vocals, especially after being on stage so long. Her honesty made me giggle as she said the following as she ended the show: "Oh boy I feel like my weave about to come off, and it itches like hell, can I pat it real quick?" bring the audience to a joint laughter. She ended the night with "Dying in the Airwaves" and it was such a beautiful rendition, that in some way, it made the whole experience bittersweet. It's all over? 3 hours have gone by? That's how you know you've enjoyed the show.

A New Fragrance, New Film, New Album and a New DVD all in 2013. It's no shock why we see Fierce at the top of the Forbes list every year. I look forward to the DVD, and hopefully I make cameo, even if it's just half of my face being show.

Erich: I understand how this guy feels. I still get that " it's really her!" Feeling whenever I see Stephanie. Sometimes I get that feeling when looking in the mirror, and I have to touch myself to see if I'm real...a lot.

Stephanie Fierce: Oh Erich, how did I guess, that you were going to say something so egotistical lol
