BIDDING PROCESS INFORMATION. PLEASE READ!  HELLO CONTESTANTS, AND ONCE AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING IT THROUGH TO STARFACTORY 2! YOU ARE ALL FINALISTS! SO KUDOS TO YOU! BEFORE WE START THE LIVE SHOWS, YOU GUYS NEED MENTORS, JUST LIKE LAST SEASON. SO YOU WILL BE PUT TO THE TEST. NOT ONLY YOU, BUT THE BIDDING MENTORS AS WELL. PLEASE LISTEN UP!
YOU ARE TO REPORT TO THE GREY GHOST MUSIC CENTER - CONCERT HALL ON SUNDAY [JAN 6TH, 2012] AT 1:00 PM (EST)|7:00 PM (GMT) READY TO PERFORM IN FRONT OF OUR JUDGES AND YOUR SOON TO BE MENTORS. BRITTANY KNOX, HAYDEN MERJOS, JOHNNY JOHNSON, MICHELLE GREEN AND TISHA JACKSON WILL ALL BE PRESENT SO PLEASE, MAKE SURE YOUR PERFORMANCES CATCHES THEIR EYE AND YOU PUT ON YOUR A-GAME. AFTER YOUR PERFORMANCE THE JUDGES WILL HAVE 8 MINUTES TO DELIBERATE WITH THEMSELVES ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY WANT TO BID YOU ONTO THEIR TEAM. EACH MENTOR GETS ONLY 1 OR CONTESTANTS EACH. IF ONE JUDGE BIDS YOU WITHIN THOSE 8 MINUTES ARE AUTOMATICALLY DRAFTED ONTO THEIR TEAM AND HAVE NO WORRIES. IF MORE THAN ONE JUDGE BIDS YOU, EXCELLENT! BUT YOU HAVE TO THINK QUICK AND COME UP WITH A DECISION ON THE SPOT ON WHAT MENTORS TEAM YOU WANT TO JOIN BECAUSE IF YOU GO INTO OVER TIME (THE TIME A NEW ACT GOES ON STAGE) YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE PUT INTO THE BOTTOM LINEAGE, SO PLEASE....MAKE YOUR DECISION....AND QUICK. WHICH BRINGS ME TO, THERE ARE ONLY GOING TO BE ONE OR TWO CONTESTANTS PER MENTOR, THERE ARE CURRENTLY 8 OF YOU. MEANING SOME JUDGES WILL HAVE TWO ACTS. NO ANDS IFS OR BUTS.
IMMUNITY OR BOTTOM LINEAGE CLAUSE
NEVER BEFORE DONE IN STARFACTORY...THIS SEASON, FOR THE JUDGES WHO DO SEEM TO BE THE 'HOT PROSPECT JUDGES' [GETTING TWO ACTS TO JOIN ON THEIR TEAM] THEY WILL RECEIVE AN IMMUNITY OR ELIMINATION CLAUSE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF YOU GET THIS CLAUSE, YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES, IF YOUR ACT IS IN THE BOTTOM LINEAGE YOU MAY USE YOUR IMMUNITY CLAUSE TO AUTOMATICALLY SAVE YOUR ACT FROM BEING ELIMINATED AND THE OTHER ACT WILL GO HOME. THIS CAN BE USED AT ANYTIME ACCEPT FOR THE FINALE. THE BOTTOM LINEAGE CLAUSE WILL GIVE YOU THE CHANCE TO AUTOMATICALLY PUT A CERTAIN ACT INTO THE BOTTOM LINEAGE FOR WHATEVER REASONS YOU FEEL ARE APPROPRIATE FOR DOING SO. THIS IS THE POWER YOU GET FOR BEING A HOT PROSPECT JUDGE. MAKE SURE YOU USE THIS WISELY.
THIS ISN'T ABOUT WHO GETS ELIMINATED, OR WHO'S HOT. ITS MUCH MORE THAN THAT, ITS ABOUT WHO STANDS WHERE IN THE EARLY BEGINNING OF THIS COMPETITION, WHAT MENTORS ARE INTERESTED IN WHAT CONTESTANTS, WHAT CONTESTANTS ARE INTERESTED IN WHAT MENTORS, WHO WILL END UP ON WHAT TEAM. WHO WILL GET THE MOST BIDS, WHO WILL END UP IN THE BOTTOM LINEAGE? THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING REALLY STARTS.
THERE'S ALSO A LOT TO THINK ABOUT CONTESTANTS. THESE MENTORS ARE GOING TO BE WITH YOU THROUGHOUT THE COMPETITION AND YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT HOW WILL THIS EFFECT YOU IN THE COMPETITION.
THE SONG CHOICE MUST BE A COVER, IT CANNOT BE A SONG THAT YOU WROTE, SO ANY SONG YOU FEEL DISPLAYS YOUR TALENT THE MOST, PLEASE PERFORM IT HERE. ONCE AGAIN THIS SATURDAY BE AT GREY GHOST MUSIC CENTER, CONCERT HALL. [Performance order slots will come tomorrow]
TIMELINE WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW OOC(All you have to do is come up with a performance roleplay of your star performing any cover, and this is sort of like a race against time as we have to stick to the time frame or your competitor will face the bottom lineage. After contestant makes their decision, I'll announce it and then announce the next performer ACCORDING TO THE TIME FRAME (must stay on schedule). I'll be in character as Christina Ortega as well as Brittany Knox. Some judges/mentors are also taking part in the competition and you CAN NOT bid your own act! Here's an example of how it will go on the 8 minute bidding process Lets SAY:

==================================================================Judges, You have 5 minutes to read the performance bidding then comes up, after those 5 minutes. You then have 8 minutes, where you are free to bid .. bidding will go like this (IF YOU ARE A JUDGE, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS) : Mentor: BID!!!!!!I really think I could see myself being your mentor, your very talented and if you were to come with me then you'll be the winner (example) - If there's one bidder, Christina will announce this and the contestant gets there mentor and moves on into the live shows . If this happens: Mentor #1: BID!!!!!!I really think I could see myself being your mentor, your very talented and if you were to come with me then you'll be the winner (example) Mentor #2: BID!!!!!!I think you should come on MY TEAM. I'm totally more experienced in this genre of music then anyone else! Mentor #3: BID!!!!!!You should really be on my squad, I could push you to the top of the competition, you cant go wrong with me.... Then the contestant will have to make a quick decision and come up with who they want as a mentor:I think I will go with Mentor #1... your an inspiration of mine KEEP in mind this has to happen over 8 minutes so pay attention! You won't want to risk going into over time and overriding the next performance, if you do, you will be drafted into the bottom lineage. So make sure you have your things planned out and hopefully bids come in quick, its a race against time! If there's any questions, comments concerns, please reply here!
