A former general store located in the more rural area of Greenbrier, WV. Owned by myself, yours truly, Johnny McDougal. It's still a work in progress but it's coming along nicely. It's co owned by myself along with my two Uncles Don and Frank. I've finally renovated the upstairs hall and some of the downstairs but it's still not opened up yet. I consider it an acoustic joint first and foremost. I can pack bigger bands in but a four piece at best. I like to think this is the kind of place Gram Parsons would play if he were still alive and kickin'. |

Put some loving and care into the upstairs storage room to turn it into this. Looks pretty damn good don't it? Well it's supposed too. I'm awful proud of what we were able to do in these few weeks. We hired a shitload of people and they cranked out some good work in this short span of time. I'm pretty proud of how this turned out. The downstairs is going to take a bit though. While I'm at it I'll introduce to you the other two people behind this operation. This is my mom's brother. My Uncle Frank Steele. I like that shirt. For a vintage bowling shirt he makes it look good. He can shoot pool with the best of them but not bowl so well. He used to work construction, drove a truck, and was a mail man even. He learned to play guitar from his days as a trucker. Met a drifter that taught him a few chords and decided not to kill him. My Uncle Clyde. The black sheep of the family that was at one time considered "the bad one of the family." He never held a job from what I know but he's a jack of all trades kind of guy. Saw time in Vietnam and is a former Hell's Angel. He's my favorite uncle. The man can fight and whip guy's half his age, drink most people under the table, and can talk his way out of damn near anything if he's not in the mood for fists. Also keeps a padlock in a bandana for those tight moments. He has an affinity for music but I wonder why he never pursued it. Always has an interesting story that's for sure. |

OOC: I've ran into many nice little bars and stuff out in the mountains in WV. The Purple Fiddle is one of my favorite places. Ironically though not a native West Virginian among the owners. All from D.C. and what not. Nice place still. Also, I try to have class. What little I can muster. Heh. |
