Tisha: [Claps for the girls. Tisha then smiles at fellow judge Michelle Green, and says..] Fabulous job with them. I thought you guys were outstanding [Tisha then looks at CrazySexyCool]. You know I am so happy to be a part of a show that gives oppurtunities to everyone. And when I say that, I am referring to groups, because they are something that I grew up listening to and to not have that many Pop/mainstream groups prominent in music today saddens me. But looking at you girls and Jumping Trains, it gives me faith in the power of girl groups and all types of bands. I think you girls will be a great edition to music, and there is nothing but room for you to excel in the competition. Lisa you are like a big ball of fire, I was very taken away by you. But needless to say I enjoyed you all. Very excited for you.

"I kinda agree with Johnny but then I don't.." He claps his hands together. "I think you girls are probably the standouts for the groups because you each have your own thing, just like any group, but you make it known just like...Destiney's Child. Now you're not on that level yet but I think maybe you will get there with more time and lessons. Your voices sound amazing and I enjoyed the performance but I think you guys still have something to prove to win because it's not just about the groups, you still need to try and take down the individual vocalists which may not be as easy as you would think. But overall, great performance tonight ladies!" He grins at them.

Johnny: That's a good point. I'm really glad that there are singing groups on this show this time around. It's hard to find that in today's industry. To find such talented groups as you all are, it reminds me of the old days. The Pretenders and all those du-op groups that were so big in the 50s and 60s. We need that again, in today's genres of pop. You fulfill that.

Brittany continues to ignore Tisha's childish jokes. They don't phase her at all.

Brittany: I think you guys are all very good vocalists and also very cute! Great performance! You girls posses great energy while you perform and it's evident that you all have been rehearsing all week and could make for a very entertaining group. One thing I'd like to see is more individually aside from you guys just being Crazy...Sexy...and Cool... what else is there to you? I think that's an issue with some groups, the lack of individuality. Yes, Lisa I heard the rap and it was really good but I really want to see what you girls bring for the rest of the season to show that you are the top tier of this competition. Great performance, I really liked it. I just want to see what else you can bring to the table.

Brittany claps for them smiling.

Tisha: Stop trying to misconstrue my words! I said I wanna see girl groups and other types of bands more prominent in the indusrty. If you weren't so busy making an a** out of yourself maybe you would understand that and have a act of your own to comment on. But I forgot they didnt show up. Damion walks onto the stage looking down. He looks over at Johnny

"Now, what is going on tonight with the lateness's? This is STARFACTORY. Are these bands having stage fright? I certainly hope everything is okay because Crazy Hearted Fools is not in the arena! Johnny, I hope they make it here sometime within the night, because if not they are going to be eliminated. Do you have any idea of their whereabouts?"

Brittany: I just feel like... if I had an opportunity like this..I wouldn't put so much hard work into getting into the competition to not stay consistent or at least make the goddamn show..

She sighs looking up at Damion

Brittany: You never know what could've happened to the acts Damion, but they're not here...

Brittany smiles

Brittany: Maybe, maybe ...we'll see.

Approximately 45 minutes before Drew was set to hit the stage at the first live show of season two of Star Factory; alone in a dressing room was Drew. Sitting in a chair with a can of red bull in his right hand embracing his left elbow on his left knee - settling his chin on his chin, Drew wondered about a few things. Today was the first time he would ever be performing live on television and finally, after about two weeks following the announcement of the first live show, Drew was getting nervous. During the last episode where he performed before the judges, he wasn't nervous at all. But now, this case differed greatly from the last. Sipping on his red bull every few seconds, he wondered to himself: "A live show? Millions of people watching? Pfffft... Alright chill out Drew". He then came to realize that he had nothing to worry about because for the past week or so, he had been rehearsing nonstop. He knew that in order to win on this show, he'd have to give it his all and work hard. His goal was always to destroy barriers and winning Star Factory would be one to take down! There hasn't been any hip-hop/rap act who won a major contestant show and Drew knew that if he won this, his name will definitely be printed out on the Guinness World Records book. He knew he had what it took to be the next breakthrough hip-hop act and although he's of the hip-hop genre, he still had a unique voice that was suitable enough to sing a song that isn't of the hip-hop genre. Fast-forward to no more than 30 minutes until he was set to hit the stage he stepped out of his dressing room and made his way backstage and asked one of the backstage crew for a glass of room-temperature water as recommended by his vocal coach who had been both training Drew and making him practice for the past week. After he got his glass of water, he made his way back to his dressing room and called his mother who was miles away in Toronto, Canada; Drew's hometown in Canada. "I'm really nervous about this ma. I really am. Every time I think about me being on live T.V., I feel like I'm gonna fail or somethin' like dat." His mother had never heard Drew being this nervous before throughout her years of raising Drew. She was shocked mostly because Drew was always that 'no emotions' kind of person and as a mother, she knew how her baby boy was feeling at that moment. She tried her best to give him words of encouragement to calm him down a bit. "Drew, honey, you'll do just fine you hear me? Look how far you've made it. Don't let fear get the best of you Drew. You'll do just fine." Feeling a little more relaxed after hearing his mother on the phone, he took a deep breath and began to breathe in and out. "Alright ma. I just... I don't know. It's whatever. I know I can stick this through. You know me." His mother laughed when Drew said 'you know me' on the phone before saying "I know you can and I know you can do this Drew. You don't know how proud you make me and your family. Win or lose, I will always love you and that's the most important thing. Now you stay calm, be confident, and show the world what my handsome son Drew Westbrook can do!" Drew smiled to himself. His mother always had that magic that would calm Drew down - whether he was angry, nervous, sad, or whatever. "I love you ma," Drew said. "I love you too Drew." After having a conversation on the phone with his mother that was in Toronto, Drew got up and laced both of the palms of his hands on top of his head and started walking back and forth in the dressing room.
When the time narrowed down to 10 minutes until he was to go on stage to perform, Drew stood before a mirror and took a glimpse at himself to see how he was looking in his clothing. Thoroughly impressed with what he was advised to wear by one of his close female acquaintances, Drew smiled. He was wearing a beige tuxedo with a hat to match with it. He sprayed cologne on him even though he knew that no one would have smelled him anyways besides the people that would have been on the stage performing with him.

The name 'Drew Westbrook' appeared on the screen and a small flashback video of Drew answering questions begin playing. He was seen sitting on a chair as a female interviewer asked began asking him questions that regarded some personal details of his life, his time on Starfactory so far, and his wonderful mentor - none other than Mr. Hayden Merjos.

Hello Drew! How are you doing? How was the first two weeks of being involved in Starfactory like?
Hey, wassup! I'm good, you? Yeah um, the first two weeks was good. I've been practicing and rehearsing nonstop for the past two weeks mainly because I've got that drive and motivation to succeed on this show and after as well. So yeah, it's all been doing smooth. I've gotten the chance to meet the other contestants and they all seem pretty cool. So yeah, things have been going along smoothly.
Good to hear Drew! Is this the first time you'll be performing live on T.V.? Are you nervous?
[Laughs] Well yeah, I'm nervous without a doubt. And yeah, this is my first time I'll be performing live on television. This is a first. I know I'll do good though because like I said, I've been practicing and doing what I have to do.
Your mentor is non other then the wonderful Hayden Merjos. How do you feel about him being your mentor?
I'm really thrilled to have Hayden as my mentor. Hayden is known to be that kind of guy who isn't afraid to speak his mind and he's pretty tough. So for him to bid on me and become my mentor tells me something, you know? I've also met up with him and let me just tell you that he's a really cool guy. He reminds me of myself too.
As we all know, you're a rapper. Everyone - and I mean everyone - has been wondering how you'd be able to cover a song by Hayden. Do you think you can cover a song by him?
Yes, why not? I'm a rapper, yes, but that doesn't mean I can't sing or anything [laughs]. I'm a rapper and I rap but I have my moments when I feel like singing and so I do. Saying that a rapper can't sing is a bit biased. Not all rappers can't sing. I can definitely do this without a doubt! But besides, isn't that what we all want to see? A challenge? No doubt I'm ready for this.
Yes, you're completely right on that one! So tell us; where are you from? What do you plan on doing after the show?
I grew up in Toronto, Canada for the majority of my life with my mother. She became a single mother after my father abandoned us both. After the show is over I'm really gonna to take a leap forward and keep doing what I do best - and that's rapping. I mean it when I say that I'm ready for it all!
I wish you the best of luck! Oh and one last question: how do yo feel about the other contestants on the show? Is it a tough competition for the crown?
Thank you, no doubt. I appreciate that. And as I said before, they're all cool and I got the chance to meet all of them. And yeah, of coarse this season will be a challenge. It'll be a tough competition without a doubt. But I'm always ready for challenges. Even for the harshest challenges, I'll always be up for them.
Well again, best of luck to you Mr. Drew Westbrook! Have fun! Any last words before you hit the stage?
I'M READY!

After Damion Holmes announced Drew's name, everyone began to cheer. The lights all over the venue went off except the few that were on the stage and everyone in the audience were cheering nonstop for Drew. Then suddenly, smoke appeared on the stage and a dark type of orchestral instrument started playing; further increasing the anticipating energy that was circulating in the venue. Drew then slowly came out from the back and since it was still a little dark in the venue, you could only see his shadow due to the lights that were shining behind him. Then suddenly, his hand moved and he moved the microphone to his mouth. "Are you guys ready!?" The audience cheered with some of them yelling out 'yes' in response to Drew's rhetorical question. Make some noise if you're ready! The audience began cheering once more and some of the lights went on on the stage. The lights then began flashing and seeing that the only lights that were on in the venue were the lights that were on the stage - making it only able to see what was going on on the stage. After the cheering by the audience soon came to an end, Drew began walking forward on the stage and said "Yeah, I think y'all are ready!" right after he said that, the instrumental for Hayden's one and only 'Connection to the Stars' began playing and the audience began cheering loudly once again. There was definitely nothing better then ending out the entire show with a performance that covered a song by Hayden. Also, to add to the bill, 'Connection to the Stars' was one of Hayden's songs that people favored the most by him. So without a doubt, most of Hayden's fans who were watching from their television sets would be voting for Drew.
Moments after the instrumental of 'Connections to the Stars' began playing, Drew began singing at his best and the audience started cheering him on once more.

Woke up this morning in my head
Thoughts of you and me in our bed
Then I realize it was all a dream
Nothing's ever what it seems
Told myself that I would find you now
Never knew that you could figure it out
All the signs and hints you got that day
Could this be fate?

Oh, this has gotta be a connection
Gotta be a connection
I know we're far apart
But I can see you in the stars
This is really in my head now
I think I've got it figured out
I know we're far apart
But I can see you in the stars

UserPostedImage

Very well sung through the first verse and chorus of the song, the audience began cheering once more as Drew paused for a few seconds before he got into singing the second verse of the song. The audience was definitely having a great time watching Drew perform, as he was having much interaction with the audience. When he spoke to them, all he got in return was cheering so they were definitely feeling him. This was a very good start for Drew on Starfactory and it was crystal clear that Hayden was shaping up and molding Drew into become the star that he was. After a few seconds, Drew gets into the second verse and begins singing. Shortly after that, the chorus comes along and he sings that as well. Even though Drew was a rapper and is of the hip-hop genre, that didn't mean that he didn't know how to sing or switch up his style a bit.

Sweet melodies remind me of you
It's imperative in everything I do
That I just think about your love
And see our future dark above
No tricks or hidden meanings this time
I won't leave you with a puzzle to find
Out just how much you mean to me
I just hope it's easy for you to see

If anybody asks you
Just what the boy is saying
You can look upon the stars
And show the connection

Getting more and more into the song, Drew continually sung through the song. There was good vibes and positive energy flowing in the venue. Whilst singing, he waved his hand from side to side in the air when he sang 'Oh, this has gotta be a connection, gotta be a connection, I know we're far apart, But I can see you in the stars', which was the chorus part of the song. Seeing that Drew was waving his hands from side to side, he motivated the people in the audience to wave their hand as well, proving that he was good at connecting with people who were in the audience.

Oh, this has gotta be a connection
Gotta be a connection
I know we're far apart
But I can see you in the stars
This is really in my head now
I think I've got it figured out
I know we're far apart
But I can see you in the stars

Oh, must be a connection
To the stars

Hopelessly I wait for your answer
Patience always grew
Shamelessly I beg for my sanity
All because of you
Maybe we, can one day be united
Hope you feel it too
But hopelessly
You're blind to see
Just how I feel for you

Drew walked to the front of the stage right before it was time for him to sing the chorus of the song. Smoke appeared on the stage and on the screen showed a little video clip of shooting stars shooting through in the black pool of space. This wowed the crowd even more, so Drew's creativity with his performances was also on point as well. He never aimed to be a typical performer, but instead a creative one that didn't just have a few backup dancers nor, flashing lights, or anything like that. He was one of those few talented rappers, unlike other rappers like Lil Wayne and such. After he sang the chorus, he ended out the show with the last two verses.

Oh yeaaaah
Connection
To the stars

Woo, Woo

"You sir, are very classy. Its incredibly refreshing to see someone out there who's doing what you do, as well as you do it, and who is also a classy guy.

I really appreciate you and your background and although I'm not the best person to connect with your style and genre, I know that this was a performance that would blow a lot of performers out of the water. You did really well and took a song that there were doubts over, and made it your own. I loved it.

You looked very confident out there from the start, but I think maybe that was a bit of a cover-up, because I sensed a bit of nervousness. Dont be nervous, you are too good at what you do to be nervous. Trust me. Be yourself and you'll do very well here"

Brittany: When I saw you last week, I was like "hm....don't know about him". This week, you've totally made me realize that you cannot always judge on the first impression because this was a great performance. It's clear that the tone of your voice is totally different from Hayden's but even with this cover, you made it your own and it showed that you've got a really smooth, soothing voice, and you can rap ..from what I remember last week. I like that you are not only multi-talented but you looked confident out there! Despite this type of music being out of your comfort zone, and that is what I like. Keep this up Drew. You look like you're full of surprises and I'm excited to see what else you do in this competition.

Tisha: Drew, Drew, Drew, Drew, Drew. Okay I want to start off by saying that I respect you. I respect you because being a rapper in this comeptition it can be difficult at time to express yourself and have the audience understand you. But I feel you. I think your choice of song by you're mentor was a very interesting, bold choice. But it was the best choice you could've possibly made.

But in all seriousness, I know you had a difficult job, and I feel like that transition into your performance. I feel that you had difficulty connecting with the crowd. I think the room will be as divided as I am with your performance, because, here we have this rapper, who has somewhat of a singing voice singing along to a song that isn't rap. So I respect you for going through with your decission. And whose to say next week you don't get out here and kill it with some creative new material. I just don't think you brought it all the way 100% this week. However I am curious and intrigued to see your journey in the competition. [Tisha smiles at Drew and looks at Johnny, Michelle, and Hayden to see what they have to say]
