TITLE:Grown Up and Left Me Behind
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Industrial rock, industrial metal, alternative rock

It’s a short song, with Vara’s voice starting out in her normal, drunken sound, her voice altered to sound distant, almost with an underwater feeling to it. After the first scream, the song immediately speeds up, taking on a slower industrial techno feel to it. Her voice grows louder, and the song speeds up with every scream. The song maintains the same slow rhythm to it even as it speeds up, making the song feel like a techno ballad, for lack of a better phrase. Vara’s voice is full of emotion throughout the song, showing how abandoned and neglected she feels by the people who have left her, as she talks about in the song.

Everyone’s grown up and left
Me behind, that’s fine
Alone, and I put in some time
Imagination that runs my life
Enough, I long, ready to *scream*

Everyone’s grown up and left
Me behind, that’s fine
Alone, and I put in some time
Imagination that runs my life
Enough, I long, ready to *scream*

Everyone’s grown up and left
Me behind, that’s fine
Alone, and I put in some time
Imagination that runs my life
Enough, I long, ready to *scream*

Everyone’s grown up and left
Me behind, that’s fine
Alone, and I put in some time
Imagination that runs my life
Enough, I long, ready to *scream*

TITLE: Understanding
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Alternative metal, dark ambient

This is probably the only song on the album that would sound like this. Vara sings practically a cappela in the beginning, just one continuous jingle. Her voice is very flowing and beautiful, showing that her voice is great without all the alterations and editing.

Aaaaoh
Desperate days see desperate ways
Aaaaoh
I want more

Vara’s voice raises as more electronica sounds come in behind her, her voice remaining the same flowing pattern.

You, you, you, you, you, you
Really outdid yourself
All of a sudden I understand
All of a sudden I understand

The sounds fade out, and she goes back to singing practically a cappela.

Aaaaoh
Desperate days see desperate ways
Aaaaoh
I want more

Vara’s voice remains the same, but the song takes on a much more rock-electronica feel as the music becomes much louder and harder.

You, you, you, you, you, you
Made me not care
Anymore
All of a sudden I understand
All of a sudden I understand

The music continues to get louder and louder as Vara has to sing louder to be heard.

Aaaaoh
Desperate days see desperate ways
Aaaaoh
I want more

Slowly, the music starts to become softer so that when the song ends, it is just Vara’s voice.

Aaaaoh
Desperate days see desperate ways
Aaaaoh
I want more
More

TITLE: I Don't Know Yet
BY: Varanese Gallo
GENRE: Experimental, electronic rock, dream pop

There’s a good five to seven seconds of silences, and then a steady, slow guitar beat comes in. When Vara Gallo sings, her voice is distant, with an echoing effect, as if she were in a tunnel. Her voice is drunken and distant.

The people I know, I don’t know yet
This becomes clear
And it’s becoming clearer
I never thought I had to
So I never paid attention

There’s a piercing scream over the music out of nowhere. The song continues as if nothing has happened.

The people I love, I don’t know yet
As this becomes clear,
You pulled out the rug from under me
Then I knew
That I never really paid attention

The song starts to fade out, and it feels like it’s over, the sound of a cricket chirping is heard. Suddenly, the song comes through full blast, guitar, bass, and drums all playing to their fullest rock potential as Vara sings, her voice no longer distant but fully in your face.

Fuck you
This person I knew
Meant everything
Now its clear
I was so oblivious
Now I know

The guitar fades out, leaving only the drums, which continue to play their fast melody, and then suddenly stop.

TITLE: Not So Hard
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Alternative rock, darkwave, gothic rock

The song starts out with a low, dark, ominous guitar melody with a slow drum beat behind it. Vara’s voice is cold and monotone, altered to sound like she’s coming through a shortwave radio or something like that.

Not too hard
Oh shit, I fell down
Broke my ass and broke my crown

Your balls have dropped
Now you’re doomed
What’s a girl
‘sposed to do?
Goan around,
Obsolescent
Not your fault, don’t regret it!

You’re not big, so don’t admit it

Vara’s voice remains the same monotone sound, but the song speeds up, the drums going faster and the beat becoming heavier.

I close my eyes
And go to work
I just need to be alone
We’ve seen too much of each other
I’m the missing piece of the cover

Not too hard
Oh shit, I fell down
Broke my ass and broke my crown

Not too hard
Oh shit, I fell down
Broke my ass and broke my crown

The song slows down considerably as it goes to an even slower melody than it was in the beginning of the show. Vara’s voice becomes less monotone for the last verse, finally showing emotion in what she’s singing.

Stopped caring
We’re so dependent
Oh, fuck
Do you know what I meant
I don’t wanna argue
I’m walking away
Ready to cycle day after day

Fades out.

TITLE: Don't Think So
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Alternative rock, electronica

The song starts with a fast techno beat that goes on for about 30 seconds. It’s a very dance styled song, meant for clubs and dances. When Vara starts to sing, her voice is heavily altered, sounding almost like a robot as she comes through. She is barely audible.

No trust and no know
Whatever I had, but never again
Nothing was meant
Whatever I say goes right to your head
Something’s got to give right now
Nothing can stop me, and this I know
But at times…
It’s hard to keep my head up

The song’s beat becomes slightly slower as Vara’s voice gets louder. Her voice is a little easier to hear, but it’s still heavily altered.

Oh! Don’t think so!
You can’t get something for nothing
But you won’t let it go
Oh! Don’t think so!
You can’t get something for nothing
And you won’t let it go

The song speeds up again, the same techno beat coming back with a mix of a guitar playing along with it, giving the song an electronica-rock feel than techno. Vara’s voice becomes less altered and is easily heard. She sounds angry and upset at who she’s talking/singing to, the slight alteration to her voice making her sound almost demonic.

Fuck you, my friend
Whatever you’ve heard is probably true
I know that’s what you say
Well, then I hear it too

Something’s got to give right now
Nothing can stop me and this I know
But at times…
It’s hard to keep this shit up

Oh! Don’t think sooooooooooo!

The techno beat stops, with only the guitar playing, making the song go from electronica to rock. Vara’s voice remains altered, still sounding slightly demonic like.

Oh! Don’t think so!
You can’t get something for nothing
But you won’t let it go

Oh! Don’t think so!
You can’t get something for nothing
But you won’t let it go

Oh! Don’t think so!
You can’t get something for nothing
And you won’t let it go

The guitar disappears and the techno beat comes back, giving the song the same feel that it had at the beginning. Vara’s voice becomes more altered, as it was at the beginning, and she sings the last verse. As she sings, the song begins to build and build until she’s practically not heard, and it’s just a cacophony of techno beats.

No trust, and no know
Whatever I had but never again
Nothing was meant
Whatever I say goes right to your head
Something’s got to give right now
Nothing can stop me and this I know
But at times…
It’s hard to keep my head up

Oh! Don’t think soooooooo!

Suddenly, the noise stops and all that is left is one repeated beat, which eventually stops after a few seconds. End song.

TITLE: Think You Mean It
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Alternative rock, electronica, indie pop

The song starts with a techno, almost old school video game beat. Vara’s voice is very calm and smooth, completely unaltered. The song has a slow melody, with Vara’s voice flowing through the music.

I don’t think you really mean it

It’s the things you say
It’s the things you do
It’s the things you promise
That never seem to come true

I don’t think you really mean it
I don’t think you really mean it

It’s the things you say
It’s the things you do

It’s the things you say
It’s the things you do
It’s the things you promise
That never seem to come true

The same techno beat continues, but another melody joins it. The new melody is slow and deep, sounding like a violin’s lowest string being played over and over again slowly.

I don’t think you really mean it
I don’t think you really mean it

Quit your lies
Stop pretending you’re chasing your tail
Your feet have been nailed to the floor
The wool’s been in your eyes for so long now

I don’t think you really mean it

It’s the things you say
It’s the things you do

There’s a musical interlude where the music starts to speed up, with a choir-esque feel to it. All these low sounds start to mix together, going quicker and quicker, as one high pitched sound (that sounds almost like a child holding a high note) echoes louder than any other sound. Suddenly, all the other sounds stop and only the old-school-video-game sound is left, with Vara singing over it normally.

Don’t expect a helping hand
I’ve turned my head
I’ve brushed you off
Friends only as good as what they do

Get me out of here
Interference is what I need
It all comes back to you
It all comes back to you

When “it all comes back to you” is sung, the high pitched note starts to trickle back into the song. When Vara starts to repeat “you,” the high note stays suspended in the song with Vara just barely singing over it.

You (x8)

On the last “you” the music begins to fade out as if the song were over, but only for a quick second. The originally video game beat picks back up and that’s all that plays for a couple seconds before Vara starts singing over it again, her voice strained and emotional, like she’s been crying.

Get me out of here
Get me out of here

Stop lying
Quit pretending you’re chasing your tail
Your feet have been nailed to the floor
Wool’s been in your eyes for so long, man

The music suddenly completely cuts out and Vara sings the last line a cappela.

I don’t think you really mean it

TITLE: Full of Shit
BY: Vara Gallo
GENRE: Industrial rock, alternative rock, alternative metal

The song starts with a low, industrial techno rock sounding beginning. It has a very dark feel to it. Vara’s voice is low and flowing, almost jazz club like, in the beginning.

Move that shit, just move that shit
Just do that shit, just do that shit
Shake it, shake it
Scream out your whore name

Vara’s voice starts to sound angrier and angrier as she sings

A B C D E
You lookin’ up at me?
Jewel’s are shining, platinum smilin’
Rims are spinin’. Stupid fucking.

A guitar comes in as the techno sound fades out, making the whole song sound much more industrial than before as Vara sings:

I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Sing about money before I got it
I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Hatin’ on people I fucking fought
I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Mommy won’t like it ‘cause I fucking cuss
That’s the truth, that’s the truth
What daddy doesn’t know can’t fucking hurt

The techno feel comes back in as Vara sings the first verse again, but this time there’s a slight echo effect to her voice as she sings.

Move that shit, just move that shit
Just do that shit, just do that shit
Shake it, shake it
Scream out your whore name
(x2)

L M N O P
Bullshit is the key
They talk real tough
They call your bluff

Same thing happens as before for the chorus.

I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Sing about money before I got it
I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Hatin’ on people I fucking fought
I’m full of shit, I’m full of shit
Mommy won’t like it ‘cause I fucking cuss
That’s the truth, that’s the truth
What daddy doesn’t know can’t fucking hurt

Same techno feel as before comes back, the same echo effect as before happening.

Move that shit, just move that shit
Just do that shit, just do that shit
Shake it, shake it
Scream out your whore name
(2x)

The song takes on a softer feel, the industrial feeling completely fading out as Vara sings the last part softly, but still with an angry feel to it.

Popping off?
Just wait until my shit drops
This song’s been cooking more
You think I would lie?
It’s gonna pop off
Just wait ‘till it drops
That song’s been cooking, man
You go and lie

There’s a short instrumental break as the song starts going into a rising action, building and building until it’s heavier than it ever was before. Vara sings the last verse with so much anger in her voice, it sounds like she’s about to punch through the radio.

Hoes and bitches, please
Keep coming up to me
You’ve seen my show, you fuckin’ hoe
Now get down on your knees
You’ll know me for a summer
Maybe even two
Once truth sets in, I’m done, my friend
Washed up like all the other
Motherfuckers

Song continues instrumentally for a while, and eventually fades out.
